  1. Ok i thought it would the manuel just didn't make sense to me. it showed what each pin was in the 4 pin. 1 GND 2 speed control 3 Sense 4 VCC
  2. Hello, Started assembling my new build today and noticed my coreair 120mm fans have 3 pins and my gigabyte Z170-HD3 has one 3 pin fan header and 2 4 pin fan headers. So if i plug the 3 pin into the 4 pin connector do i just not get speed control? Also when the manuel says pin 3 is sense does that mean it will be able to tell fan speed just not adjust it? Thanks
  3. I ordered parts for a new build a few days ago and just now realized my i5 6600k does not come with a stock fan. I also ordered a cooler master hyper 212 evo would that be enough to keep or is there something else you would recommend.
  4. Ok so this motherboard would work fine Gigabyte GA-H170-GAMING 3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard.
  5. Ok thanks I'll go check those items out. Also maybe this question is the wrong section but what exactly does an SSD help with. I have heard they are good to get but does it just make file transfer faster or what.
  6. Hi everyone! I am looking for help with my first custom built pc. I have been planing it for a while now but am finally ready to order parts within a day or two. This is what I have currently and would like to know if its any good and what I could do better http://pcpartpicker.com/list/JGGXRG. For more details this will be a gaming build on 1080p with one monitor for games, though i would like to add a second for random things. I would like to keep the budget around $1,100 USD or lower if possible. Everything I need is included in the build liked here but I would love to check out and suggestions on any cases, keyboards or mice you guys prefer.
  7. Hi everyone! This is my first forum post so please correct me if I am doing something wrong. I am currently looking to build my first PC for around $1,100 USD (hopefully under). This build will primarily be a gaming setup with little to no video editing or streaming. My current setup is this http://pcpartpicker.com/list/JGGXRG. I will probably stick to 1080p with 2 monitors. One would be for my game and the other for whatever else. I have been debating weather to drop down to a 1060 because I have heard the 1070 is a bit overkill. I would like it to last for a few years so how much longer would the 1070 last and is it worth the extra $150. Wondering if i should use the money for better hardware or maybe on a fancier case or peripherals. Thanks in advance for the help.
