  1. Yeah... RTX sounds cool ... Maybe i should quit watching Benchmarks on LTT :)) no real life use... Just Like storage video sata vs gen3 vs gen4
  2. Folding@home is going to stop this year after our house is buildt. No more free electricity For casual gaming at 1080p is the question. I get really excited about hardware :))
  3. Hello there, I was wondering if the shiny new RTX makes any sense in my case. I think the price tags on new GPUs right now would make my wife not so happy to hear :) Casual gamer - PUBG and stuff like this. Since I have at the moment free electricity it runs 24/7 on Folding@Home. My setup looks like this : GPU - Ryzen 7 3800x Motherboard - MSI X570-A PRO RAM - Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2x8GB) 3600MHz C18 GPU - GTX 1080 Armor HDD - Samsung 500gb SATA SSD - Main storage is on my NAS - Synology DS218Play CPU AIO - Enermax RGB-Wasserkühlung Aquafusion 240mm (ELC-Aqf240-Sqa) PSU - Something like 750W Gold from BeQuiet - Exact model not sure since too lazy to open up the case again to check Case - Enermax Starryfort SF30 Monitor - 23" AOC 60Hz IPS - Nothing special - Hoping to get one for christmas TBE in 9 Months :) Thank you!
  4. Thank you for your reply but i am interested to hear from people with Ryzen 7 3800x because if my cpu runs Out of specs I can still Take IT Back to the Store for a new one.
  5. Hi Guys, I was wondering since I recently switched from Intel tot AMD what is the actual shown speed in Task Manager of a Ryzen 7 3800x in cinebench r20 for exemple. Mine tends to run at 4.12Ghz. is this normal? Should I expect higher speeds? Stock clock! Asking to see If my cpu runs whithin specs or it has a problem. Thank you
  6. I did not take into consideration I needed 1xHDMI ... and that I might have to update the bios on the MB.... and it is complicated not having an older gen AMD CPU... I opted for buying a bundle from amazon. Memory PC Aufrüst-Kit Bundle AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 4X 3.6 GHz, Ohne RAM, ASUS A320M-K, fertig montiert und getestet
  7. Hey guys, I am planning on gifting my parents a new pc for Christmas and I would like to share the specs with you and gather some feedback and suggestions. The main use for the PC is work related stuff (mostly MS Office, heavy internet browsing and online video streaming services - Youtube, Netflix, etc.) My budget is about 200 250 euros - power supply not included. CPU:AMD Ryzen TM 3 2200G mit RadeonTM VegaTM Grafikkarte Motherboard:ASRock 90-MXB5A0-A0UAYZ Motherboard 1 x Socket AM4 Mehrfarbig RAM:Crucial CT8G4DFS824A 8GB Speicher (DDR4, 2400 MT/s, PC4-19200, SR x8, DIMM, 288-Pin) SSD:Kingston SA400S37/120G Solid-State-Drive (2.5 Zoll, SATA 3) schwarz - No need for more space - NAS storage available on LAN Case: Sharkoon VS4-V PC-Gehäuse (2x USB 3.0, ATX) schwarz Modular power supply from BeQuiet 450W bronze - exact model not available from my current location ? Q1. Am I missing something? Q2. Will it be able to handle video decoding on the CPU? Not the expert on AMD cpus... Actually the first one I buy. Q3. Any suggestions? Alternatives? Thank you for your time, and sorry for the bad text formatting... I am on my phone and find it difficult to change the text size...
  8. Back with the results. I booted with Ubuntu 16.04 and still nothing. It does not want to detect the SSD. Does someone know where to find more info about compatibility and if it is possible to have an SSD instead of the SSHD? I have no other SSD to test my theory ...
  9. @exercutor5 Thanks for the suggestion. I will try this and come back and post the results.
  10. I have done that. It booted correctly from the pre-installed SSHD. I know there is no issue with the OCZ SSD because I installed back into my main rig and it works just fine. Maybe a compatibility issue?
  11. It does not show in BIOS I have not tried to boot with a linux USB It has windows 10 pro x64 installed on it, beeing the boot drive of my main rig. When I start the notebook with the SSD I get the no boot drive error message.
  12. Hello everybody, I have acquired as mentioned in the title the Lenovo Yoga 300-11IBR Model 80M1 notebook for taking notes in class. It comes with a pre-installed 500 Gb SSHD. Because of the heat generated by the SSHD inside a no-fan laptop and the always on the move nature of classes I would preffer a more shock-resistant solution like an SSD. I tried changing it with an OCZ Vertex450 128Gb SSD I had in my desktop pc but it was not detected by the system. I have "used google" the last past days but no concrete answer was found. Not really the most popular laptop I guess, or still too new... Can you more tech-savy guys please help me to understand what I am doing wrong and if it is possible to install an SSD in my notebook? Thanks
