    Mint is very noob friendly, I used it for month until I learned terminal commands which I found a much easier way to use the OS than click like a madman.

    I've used Ubuntu for months, but I really like CentOS for servers and Mint for desktops. But in any case, any distro of Linux can be customized to perform virtually any task you throw at it, cept big name gaming

    I've heard for possible VR compatibility you'd be ok with a GTX 1070. I found using Google's shopping tab for about $225.
