  1. Thank you very much The loss of VRR was the thing that worried me the most going from Nvidia to AMD but I was very surprised to see that it is still working. I did never see the news about AMD gpu's working with gsync. Only the other way around.
  2. I thought only Nvidia gpu's could use both gsync and freesync. When did amd start supporting g sync displays?
  3. Hey, I have read on many sites that AMD gpu's does not offer variable refresh rate on gsync displays. Today I was very surprised to see that my new MSI RX6900XT Gaming X Trio works with my Acer Predator X35 display. It says that FreeSync is supported in the Radeon software and when I am testing on that old windmill FreeSync demo it actually works. How can this happen? Also when I check my monitor info it says it is in gsync mode when freesync is activated in the radeon software If you don't believe in me I can try to upload a video to show it working. Maybe this is due to it being a G Sync Ultimate display instead of a regular G Sync display? I am very confused about this situation because it is definitely not a placebo because I can very clearly see the screen tearing on that red moving bar in the demo dissappear and the motion is much smoother on the windmill too with FreeSync on.
  4. Hello, late last night when I was playing Star wars jedi fallen order my gaming pc suddenly died without any warning. I just heard a small click sound and now my system is completely dead. My motherboard still lights up but the system is not even trying to start up again when i use the power button. Can this be a power supply failure? I know that my cpu and gpu have not overheated because they are running stable at 70c all the time. I have also checked all the connections in the pc and everything is fine. I am so worried because the system is only 7 months old and it cost me 3000$. I have built most of it myself so there is no warranty who will cover my repair expenses either ? Some advice would be much appreciated
  5. Have you bought a 3900x yet? Have you used is on a b450f?

  6. Update: Asus have confirmed that the Ryzen 3900x is supported on their strix b450-f gaming motherboard ?
  7. I just got an response from Asus regarding this motherboard and they told me that Ryzen 3900x is not supported and they do not know if it will be supported in the future. They told me that it depends on if they can make the motherboard function without issues when paired with the 3900x
  8. Right now I am only gaming but I want to start editing videos and other more demanding tasks so I would need quite a bit of cpu power. Also an upgrade to the Ryzen 5 3600 is not worth it because I have the Ryzen 5 2600x overclocked now. I have noticed that the 2600x is a bottleneck for high framerate gaming (144hz). My RTX 2080 is bottlenecked by the cpu because it can't keep up with the high framerates even when overclocked
  9. I want the Ryzen 3900x because I don't want to upgrade my cpu again in a long time. Also I am using a b450 motherboard and not a b350. I thought the b450 would support all the Ryzen 3000 series cpu's. Atleast that is what AMD's compatibility chart suggests.
  10. I bought from ASUS because i heard that they were going to support the Ryzen 3000 series but I am a littlebit worried because they list other Ryzen 3000 cpu's as compatible except for 3900x which I don't understand. This is the list I am referring to https://www.asus.com/no/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B450-F-GAMING/HelpDesk_CPU/
  11. Hello, I have an Asus rog strix b450-f gaming motherboard and I have noticed that this motherboard supports all of the newer Ryzen 3000 series cpu's except for the 3900x. Is this a mistake on their site or is this cpu actually not supported? I did check out some of their older b350 boards and they support the 3900x which seems weird to me. Is there anybody who have a strix b450 f gaming mobo which have tested if it is compatible? I have already purchased the 3900x so it would be pretty dissapointing if I have to return it. I got my motherboard a few months ago to use it with Ryzen 3000 and now it is too late to return it so it would be wasted money if I have to buy another one now :( Is there any particular reason that this motherboard can't support the 3900x when the older mobo's supports it?
