  1. So I'm trying to format multiple cells in excel to add text in front of the date. I cannot figure it out for the life of me. I want the cell to look like this example. Any help is appreciated! Thank you! DOR: DD-MMM-YYYY DOR: 07-JUN-3097 Edit: figured out why it was voiding out on me. The cells where too small
  2. So I just built a new pc that should hopefully last me for quite some time. It's a 13900k and an aorus OC 4090. I currently have two VG27AQL1A monitors. I don't necessarily want to upgrade to a higher monitor if I don't need to. But am I leaving performance on the table if I stay at 2k? Or is this a situation where I have great quality and fps at a lower resolution compared to higher resolution with lower fps and quality?
  3. either of those two really. I dont recall crashing on the quickminer though. i had a friend tell me that the quickminer is better for nvidia cards but i dont entirely believe that
  4. Hello I have a 2080ti and decided I wanted to mine with it. I'm wanting to use nice hash but I keep getting memory over clock error on it and I know I'm not OCing anything on it. Every once in awhile I also just crash my pc. How do I make this stable? I've been able to leave my 1070ti in my pc before swaping on for days before I told the miner to stop working. I want to do do same with my 2080ti but idk what to do. Anything is good for me so if there's something else I should use then please let me know! Edit: the error for the mem I'm getting is " illegal memory access was encountered"
  5. So ive been looking around my area to upgrade my GPU. Really want a 30 series card but I dont expect to ever get my hands on one. Ive noticed that there is a Zotac Amp twin fan 2080TI listed for $800 in my area. should i go for it or should I just hold out hope for the rarer 30 series?
  6. I feel like this is a stupid question but its one that I want to know the answer to. GIGABYTE announced the AORUS Gen4 7000s SSD 1TB and 2TB; they are Gen 4 m.2s that can do reads of up to 7gb per second. Ill eventually get the 1tb one to replace my boot drive but for the time being I want to get the 2tb one to replace my HDD I've had for a few years now. My question is, will my Samsung 970 EVO plus (500gb) slow down the AORUS Gen4 7000s SSD, even if its a little bit. If it doesn't then cool, ill keep going until I feel I need to reasonably replace it.
  7. I want to make my new pc possibly inside a server case (idk what one yet but have an idea, suggestions for that are welcome!). I made a desk a few months ago and want to add rails to the desk to allow a 4U server case to be placed in some free space of my desk. I was wondering what rails i should grab, and mainly how far apart the rails have to be to allow a server case to sit in my desk. the desk has 1/2 inch pipe for the framing and a 63 inch x 25 inch desk top. the area i want to ad rails to is the cubby area just above where the base to my speaker set is 19x19. Im totally fine with making a new desk if i have to; in fact its fun to do it too. or just modifying this one and getting some more pipe to change the dimensions of the cubby area for a server case to fit. sorry if this post was a bit all over the place its basically 1 in the morning for me
  8. i totally mis-typed that i meant to say 2x8 not 2x16
  9. So I want to get 32gb's of ram I don't need it but it would be fun to have imo. My dad been building pcs since he was younger and Ive asked his opinion of some stuff and it seems what he knows doesn't really line up with what Ive learned over the past few years. as an example of a previous conversation he thought that you'd would need to match AMD stuff up with AMD and you couldn't use an AMD CPU with an NVIDIA GPU. I was talking with him today and he said that if I had the money then i should buy two 2x8 kits of ram instead of one and then wait to get the other. I was wondering, should I follow that or is it ok to get one kit now and wait to get the other? edit: 2x16 now 2x8
  10. Im thinking of upgrading my computer relatively soon, I currently have a 4790k with 16gb of ddr3 ram with a gtx 1070ti. Should I upgrade my pc now or should I wait a few more years. I dont really notice any slowdowns because I am only gaming and not really doing any number crunching tasks. Im thinking about playing around with some zombie map making tools for BO3 but other than that nothing special. Should I upgrade to the 3800x or 9700k or should I hold off for another year or so?
  11. Hello, Last night I got my Bitcoin miner up and running! currently I only have an ASUS GTX 1060 in there but I want to add more (side question, would overclocking the 1060 help in mining?). I was looking at Newegg last night and saw that they are selling refurbished NVIDIA Tesla 40k's; the cards are used for High-Performance Computing (HPC). I found a document from PNY that talks about its specs and wanted to share with y'all and ask if these server processing GPU's would be good for mining. I kinda wanna get 2 of them and try it out, The return policy is within 30 days so what would be the harm if I got it just to test right? I do want to know what y'all had to say before I got the cards, would it be worth it or should I look else where? 12. i have 2 samsung s24d300's. they are 1920x1080 with a 1ms Response Time
  13. Hello! I have a 4790k (not overclocked), An ASRock Extreme4 z97, and 16GB of DDR3. My graphics card doesn't need to upgrade but I have a GTX 1070 TI EVGA Gaming Black. All I want to know is if I should upgrade now to something with a 9700k or wait (or an AMD CPU, I'm down for that). I know I don't need an I7 or even an I9 for gaming but I just want it to have it.
  14. Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone knew of a motherboard that had fiber optic sound out, and an extra pcie slot for a Bluetooth wifi card. What I want to do at the end of the day is play console like games from the couch but also be able to play VR as well. If i play my cards right i can get a 1060 and then id have to look out for deals with other hardware. but for now I need to find a good motherboard that has those features that wont hurt the wallet, if one doesn't exist can yall tell me some motherboards that are good that can take both a bluetooth wifi card and another sound card with fiber optic out? Thanks!
  15. I have broken LCD panel on a Sony tv. I can't find the replacement for the panel its self online so I was wondering if I could ask y'all if you know of any panels that could take its place. It would be cool if the replacement is 4k but if not the. That's cool too.
