The newer generation X99 motherboards (I call them X99 Gen2) are really similar to generation 1 of X99. in reality the only difference is a few features (newer usb, etc.) and ports (the newer motherboard might have better hardware features but the first gen does fine already).Its realy not that much worth going for the newer boards if you already have the older one, and like you mentioned all you need to do is simply update the bios to support Broadwell-E. The corsair 120mm mag lev fans you have there are similar to Noctua fans in a way and are better looking. The amount of cfm and pressrue they give should be good in your system. Just make sure you have airflow in your case be positive to avoid dust buildup. If you want them for airflow go ahead, but you could get af fans or sp fans for a lower price. As a MasterAir Maker 8 owner, I can tell you that the performance is good, and by the graphs it affirms its performance over the Noctua D15, however the Master Air Maker 8 is $115 on Newegg right now, about 30 dollars more expensive than the D 15, and the Air 8 is overpriced a good chunk in price to performance ratios. So if you want to spend more money for it and its customization, go ahead but you are paying more than what you get.

6 case fans in total: 3 intakes in front, 1 exaust in rear and 2 exhaust in top. The temperatures that worry me are my 980 tis as they really get high during gaming sessions and I will suffer frame drops during gameplay due to some throttling. If I check in afterburner, the temps can get to 80+c quickly in gameplay and Id rather not have to use a very nosy fan curve with my msi gpus to try to lower temperatures as I am currently. As for drives, I have them in the basement compartment of the case and in sdd pockets on the back of the motherboard tray, so they shouldn't be much of a factor into airflow of the case. Also thanks for the suggestion, I'll keep it in mind, but what about NZXT or Phanteks or bitfenix/others ? Do they make good fans as well?

Hello LTT forum, This is my first time here on the LTT forum so please forgive me if I sound ignorant or dumb for my first post here. I have my pc parts in the MasterCase Maker 5 from Cooler Master. I removed the top cover (but kept on the front cover/panel) for ventilation and have some generic cooler master 140mm case fans in the available intake/exhaust areas. However, I am not satisfied with the airflow and it does not help cool my pc parts inside as much (especially the two 980 tis I have inside). So I ask you all: what case fans can I get (120 or 140mm) that will help me get more airflow into the case to help cool my components ( and exhaust it). If it the case fans you sugggest have leds I prefer they be white or red to fit my pc build theme, and that the fans are not crazy expensive (the really high end noctua fans for example). Noise is not so much of an issue but I would prefer the fans not make an excessive amount of noise. Thanks! A PC user that loves to do alot of tech stuff.
