Ok, I just found a second version of the cable which sounds like it will do what I want (Host and terminal version) or am I missunderstanding something?

Can I use a SFF8087 to 4x Sata cable (such as this one) in either configuration? Full Story: I have a 20bay server case with a backplane that has 5x SFF8087 ports. Currently I am running 4 of those ports off 2 controllers that each have 2 SFF8087 ports. Can I connect the port on the backplane to the Sata ports on the mobo with a cable like I linked? or are they designed to only work with the SFF end connected to a controller? I could buy another controller but would rather save the money if I can. Performance is not critical as the server is mostly used as a backup for a couple of other PCs. Any help would be appriecated. Bonus Questions: What does it mean by "Sideband Cable"?

So I have a home server that uses windows 10 storage spaces, the primary reason was the ability to expand the storage pool as required rather than buying all the drives outright. But now I am looking to change the OS to windows server 2016 essentials so that I can use some of its features (Hyper V, Active Domains, no forced restarts/updates, etc) My concern is that server 2016 wont be able to read or convert my current storage space into the new storage space direct. I have tried to find this information online but to no avail. I am keen to here peoples thoughts, opinions or best of all your experiance regarding migrating my SS to S2D.

So a terrible thing happened.... I ran out of space on my NAS (22TB). Unfortunately my case is already full up with drives at the moment, so my temporary solution was/is to put the 3x 8TB seagate archive drives in an external HHD dock. Now my storage is 46TB raw. I will do a proper update post once I have bought a rackmount case. Speaking of which, any recommendations? Looking for something not top expensive, something like the silverstone or norco rack cases. preferably 20+ drives

Pages have been shuffled again, Most of the ones that were on page one are still on page one, i think they maybe ordered by downloads because it is stupidly unlikely that that many people weren't moved to other pages.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed but the pages have been shuffelled. Not sure but they maybe be ordered by downloads/views? I have gone from page 21 to 1 Or it could just be random luck

Im not 100% on this, but I dont think any of them are actually mounted on a wall for the photos. I think instead they just framed the camera tricking the viewer.

On page 21, With the exception of my design and someone elses, nobody has above 5 views let alone downloads/follows/likes. Where as nearly everyone on page one has upwards of 90 views
