So, I have an $800-$900 price cap, and while assuring myself several times the parts I picked were under budget, I went through with my trusty windows calculator and I was devastated of an OBSCENE price of (roughly) $1218, without even factoring in the fans, dust covers, thermal comp, fan controllers, etc. I need to find ways to reduce my cost. Please note that I only want to use parts available on OutletPC. I will be very reluctant to combine sources.
Required to run the computer:
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 2x8 DDR4 ~ 72.89
Thermaltake TR-600 TR2 ATX12V 600 Watt Desktop Power Supply ~ 54.89
Corsair Carbide 400R ~ 109.88
Intel i5-6500 & MSI Z170A PC Mate Combo ~ 329.89 (Core i5 range.)
EVGA GTX 1070 SC ~ 499.88 (I really, really do not want to change this out with an RX-480 or 1060. OutletPC doesn't have a lot of options for those cards.)
WD Blue 2TB HDD ~ 69.88
Accessories:
3 Corsair SP-120 fans ~ 74.64
NZXT Sentry 2 ~ 34.39 (Family is an issue here, noises are not a good.)
2pk Masscool 120mm Fan filters ~ 4.98 (Pets.)
GeLid 3pcs PCIe dust filter ~ 7.98 (Again, pets.)
So, eh, any help?
