I will not talk anymore, except give a big thank you to my sponsors! Want to see the final pictures? Here you go. Thank you for all your comments and everything! I will be back as soon as I can with another project! With kind regards, Johan Nyman Minimalistic PC's

Ive been very busy with a new job I landed so havent been modding much lately. Although, Im going on a vacation for one month in USA and I want to finish this project before that so I have some pictures of a almost ready casemod, want to see? I added some copper pipes to the build! On these pictures its not finished, just testing it out. But what do you think? I also added a windowframe to the sidepanel, made by E22, also thanks to HCP for the sketch. I think the windowframe fits perfectly together with the fangrill, what do you think? Im working on finalizing the loop and installing everything else. As soon as thats done and the loop is filled I will start working on the final photos and post them for you here. You are beautiful! Im almost finished with the repaint of the case, just the last layer of matt clearcoat left. This time I will be putting the case together with M3 screws instead of rivets, cause I like to have my cases modular if I have to take it apart again. Im also going to change the casefeet on this case. The original ones is the regular plastic ones that many cases use, I will change them to some that are made out of aluminium by Fannblade. I love small details like this, just the thing that I know that the feet are handmade by a person on the other side of the world just for me makes the build more special for me. And they sure look nice too! Thats all for me today. Im waiting for two fans and a can of clearcoat, when the painting is done I will be assembling the case and start installing the hardware and keep experimenting with the copper pipes. If you want more updates from me you can check out my facebook-page where I post things every day! With kind regards Johan Nyman Minimalistic PC's

Hello everyone! I finished Cold Winter a few weeks ago so now I can focus on this build again. I have received everything from EKWB and I started working on the mod today. I will use a 240mm XT radiator from EK now and those are 47mm thick instead of 30mm as the old one from Alphacool I had. It was already hard to fit everything with that radiator so how could I fit a thicker one? Well I started to look around for slim fans. I knew Scythe made 10mm thick fans but I havent had good memory of those so I kept looking, finally found Prolimatech's Ultra Sleek Vortex 12 which are 15mm thick, perfect! I ordered some of those and they really are nice, performs like regular 25mm thick fans. But it wasnt enough there either, what I did today was to cut down the frame of the fan to be able to "integrate" the fans with the radiator. I let the images explain. As you see there is a clear difference between these fans integrated in the radiator and regular 25mm thick fans. This actually takes less space than the 30mm radiator and regular fans. Many might think that this will totally ruin the performance of the fans. Well I removed the fan frame, but it was replaced by the frame of the radiator. I also tried it out and it still blows a lot of air through the rad, so dont worry! Another thing I will do is to run the custom loop with chromed solid copper pipes, I had that idea from the beginning but not the knowledge, I still dont have the knowledge. But maybe some bigger "cojones". I started experiment some with the pipes today. What do you think? I will keep working on this project as much as I can, I want to finish it because this will be my new main PC to use. Right now Im repainting the inside of the case and Im also waiting for a aluminium frame that will go around the window. With kind regards Johan Nyman Minimalistic PC's
  6. Thank you! Thanks! Yeah I love small cases.
  7. Hello everyone! So I finally finished Cold Winter, the third version. I went back and checked when I started the first project log for this case, 2011-01-04, a while ago. However, this mod has meant a lot to me, this was the second serious project I made and the first one I was really satisfied with. Since then I made a second version and then started planning a third version that I promised myself was going to be the last, and here it is! The sad part is the scratches on the acrylic, this was made when I built this case at my school, someone there thought it was funny to start etching stuff on it, the same happened at Dreamhack. So sad, I tried as good as possible to polish it but not with a really good result. The good part is that isnt really easy to see if you dont put a light right on the scratches. I want to say thank you for all the nice comments and feedback of Cold Winter and I also want to give a big shoutout to the sponsors for helping me with the hardware! EKWB! Thank you for helping me. Be Quiet sponsored me with a Shadow Rock 2. Gigabyte sponsored me with a GA-F2A88XN-WIFI. MNPCTech sponsored me with this fan grill to have in the front, should look awesome! Clear Acrylic 120mm Overkill "Nautilus" PC Fan Grill from Mnpctech.com Well do you want to see the final pictures? Here you go! Ill be back here with more updates on other projects. Until then, I would be happy if you would like to check out my facebook-page where I post all my projects, updates and giveaways. Check it out and like it. Thank you everyone! 8. The loop is filled with Mayhems, its leaktested and the computer boots up! This project is now finished. I took some pictures of the result, the final pictures will be taken tomorrow though, but here are some sneakpeaks. What do you think? With kind regards Johan Nyman Minimalistic PC's
  9. I want to start by announcing a new sponsor and thank them for all their help, EKWB! Thank you for helping me and sending me: 120mm XT Radiator Supremacy Clean CSQ Nickel-Acrylic RES X3 150mm Fittings I started out installing the loop to see how I wanted everything, the RES is installed in the top like this. The 120mm XT rad goes in the front of course together with the DCP 2.2 pump on the bottom. The entire loop from behind, whats missing here is the cover over the PSU and the pump, working on that right now aswell as fixing all the cables to perfect lenght. I cant get a good photo from the side because of the tinted plexiglass, although, as soon as I have some lights inside the case there will be good pictures. Last picture of the day! What do you think so far? I have dissassembled everything now to finish the last small details. Complete the coverplate for the PSU and pump. Fix all the cables to perfect lenght. Install a SSD. Leaktest. OS Install and config. Hopefully Ill have a new update this weekend, until then, have a good day! With kind regards Johan Nyman Minimalistic PC's

Im still waiting for all the watercooling gear from EKWB so I havent started modding yet, I need the radiator to start measure out things. I could give you some pictures of the new hardware I got though. I got Be-Quiets silencing kit, cause Im going to make two sets of sidepanels, one with windows and one without and with silence mats on it instead. The MSI Z87I looks really good, black caps is awesome! This GTX 760 from Zotac is really cool to, really short cooler and it still fit a waterblock if needed. I also want to say thank you to Caseking.de for giving me awesome prices on this hardware! I hope I could start give you real updates soon! With kind regards Johan Nyman Minimalistic PC's

Hello everyone! Im back and Im going to remake this build. What Im going to do is upgrade the hardware aswell as the watercooling gear. I will also go for the solid chrome copper tubing idea I had at the beginning. The new hardware will be: MB: MSI Z87I CPU:Intel I5 4670K GPU: Zotac GTX 760 RAM: 2x4gb Corsair Dominator Platinum SSD: Samsung 840 120gb PSU: Be-Quiet! Dark Power Pro P10 550W CASE: Cubitek Mini Cube I also want to take this opportunity to announce a new sponsor: EKWB is sponsoring me with new watercooling gear for this build! Thank you! More updates will come soon! With kind regards Johan Nyman Minimalistic PC's
  12. Sorry for no updates here, but I have been waiting for the release of AMD A10-7850K, now it is here and I cant wait to start. Im still waiting for watercooling gear from EKWB though, after I got that I can start the casemodding for real.
  13. I posted some more pictures of it here, found the pictures at OCN. http://www.minimalisticpc.com/uncategorized/more-pictures-of-corsair-obsidian-250d/
  14. I rushed to finish a aircooled version for Dreamhack that was this weekend thursday, for a Gigabyte contest there. After that I will start the real project with custom loop and other goodies. To start off: Be Quiet sponsored me with a Shadow Rock 2. Gigabyte sponsored me with a GA-F2A88XN-WIFI. What I started doing was to fix the 120mm hole in the front and also make the 92mm hole in the back to 120mm. Then I started working on a shroud that would cover the powersupply. Used acrylic that I painted black on one side. Then I painted the inside of the acrylic black too so it would hide the powersupply and everything else. Then I added the fan grill I got from Bill. Looks awesome! I got the motherboard and cpu down at Jönköping where Dreamhack is, so I installed everything there. It ended up looking like this. And here it is together with all the other mods, I always ends up with the smallest mods haha. So next thing to do is to make a watercooled version. I also have to get ahold of a CPU, I think Ill wait for the new AMD A10-7850K, should be released in January, the 14th I think. I was thinking of using a 50-60mm 120mm radiator in the front. Should be enough for the CPU. So what did you think about the "aircooled Dreamhack" version of this mod? With kind regards Johan Nyman Minimalistic PC's
  15. Nice! Im looking forward to your Bitfenix build! Oh that sounds awesome man! Go for it! Thank you. Soon to come!

Yep they are under "plastglas". Try it, not that expensive. Yes the black/red one are really nice! Thank you! Thank you! I use it as my HTPC so I dont want to much lights in it, the LCD and powerbutton is enough for me. I work a lot with acrylic, my favorite material when it comes to modding. Thanks Quantum! Yeah I love making custom cases, more fun than casemodding actually. Thank you all! Im happy for all your nice comments. Come to Dreamhack and see it live! Thank you. That was my idea. Oh mine too! I love SFF and mini-itx boards and cases. Thank you! What do you mean about the 460? Old card? Well I got it for almost nothing at Ebay and it still performs pretty well. The only games I play is Starcraft 2 and Dota 2, and thats not a problem.
  20. Thank you! Ill try to get it as silent as possible. But its not my priority. Thank you! Really makes me happy to hear that. That was the idea I had. Thank you! Haha most people didnt like it. I made several upgrades of this case but now its time for the last final one.

Thank you! I actually found a big piece that was already bent, just made the cutouts. However, when I want to shape something, I build that shape in wood and then bend the acrylic piece over the wooden piece. I bought some cheap stuff at Biltema, you could try it. Not the best quality though. Thank you all!
