Asus support shows that G4930 is compatible with Z390-P but not with Strix Z390-F. Is it real or just mistake in the compatibility list? Intel ark shows that it should be compatible.

This time FE is custom design not reference. Cheaper AIB models will have reference design.

Here in Norway 3090 is more than double price of 3080 3080 = 8000kr = 896$ 3090 = 17000kr = 1905$ For customs designs like Asus Strix add 224$ Right now ZOTAC is only one who has Nvidia(Norway) price 8000kr and 17000kr Pretty sure there will be 20gb version. But at the same time 10gb would be enough if I understand nvidia memory compression right.

I won't be buying FE card because I will do custom loop after Zen 3 launch.

Those reasons are why I'm thinking nvidia didn't really show anything about 3090 performance. I'm in situation where I could afford it but as I'm thinking more and more I am starting to realize that it would be too stupid even for me

Am I'm only one who thinks that 3090 won't be huge improvement over 3080 except VRAM? Limited information from Nvidia doesn't look promising. And looking at various benchmarks and comparing them to percentage gains that nvidia told us. It looks like 3080 will be 40-50% faster than 2080ti and 3090 maybe 50-60% I now that this isn't best or smartest method but we don't have much.. I think there is two options why. 1. 3090 is like Titan over xx80ti class gpu while double of price. 2. 3090 will be mic drop moment for everyone but they just don't want to tell immediately And one more question.. Is the 3090 full GA102 die?

I know about load on FAH servers. It just frustrating because it worked for two weeks fine at worst 1-2 WU's in day but now nothing last 4-5 days. And restarting doesn't help.

Can't get any WU's for GPU last couple days. CPU is fine, but GPU nothing. Before it was fine, but now nothing. Yeah, it looked more like a software problem than anything else. Switched to Unraid and now I don't have problems, but getting Plex to work was fun times, but that's just my luck because I always have weird problems. One thing that I noticed was that Plex on the FreeNAS was mostly direct playing, but now with Unraid its mostly transcoding. FreeNAS is for people who is more advanced in configuring and for those who just need plain NAS. And now seeing what Unraid offers I'm glad that I finally went with Unraid. Now I just need bigger cache drive and couple new HDD and maybe 10Gbit just because

Am I'm the only one who past 2-3 days just can't get any work units? The CPU is getting maybe 2-4 units in a day, but GPU isn't getting anything and restarting doesn't help.

Any movie on any device in any playback mode will buffer nonstop. But that happens at random sometimes nothing sometimes every 5 seconds. And doesn't metter if I watch on Xbox or Chromcast and if it's direct play or transcode and if it's 1080p rip or 4k rip. And now tried on PC straight from network share without Plex and its also stuttering. I'm noob at freenas and plex setup. Maybe there is some configuration that isn't optimal. What I'm searched haven't helped. That's why I'm starting to feel that is hardware issue. Server specs Intel I3 4150 8gb DDR3 non-ECC 3x 2tb HDD Asus H(something) motherboard Intel 1gbit NIC Server is connected to router via cat5e (around 15m) cable. I'm thinking upgrading server to AMD 2600 based system (mainly reason to get 3700x in my desktop ) and maybe moving to unraid but I don't know if it will help. I use NAS only for storage and in home plex streaming. Sorry for my language but English isn't my first language and sorry for bit ranting mood...

Hi. How it looks for freenas plex? Still better is to setup on pc and direct script to NAS folder?
