    Click on CPU support, Ctrl+F 1230, you'll find the chip, it's supported from BIOS version 1004 onwards.
    If the board arrives with an older BIOS version you simply use BIOS Flashback, i.e. a flash stick with the bios file installed on it and update the board.

    Thanks so much for joining. My vision is a community based on positive member interaction and helping each other. I believe that if we all work together toward this goal, we will have success in the long run.
    We don't have official forum rules or anything like that yet, but as long as everyone is respectful of each other, and patient with the growing pains that we are going to experience (vBulletin 5 is VERY beta right now) we can make this into an AWESOME community forum.

    it's fine if you don't want to get it man just a suggestion trying to cater to the future proof statement since you obviously wanted the cpu to last but if it is out of budget and or you need it now go for the 6300 still a great cpu better than the i3 for sure if you have the time to save it and are willing to save then sure go for the 8320 if not then yeah 6300
