  1. @LurickA router from a Norwegian company, its just called altibox. Tried googling it, but I cant find it, we have an older model and not the one the company sells with their network packages today. My wifi spot is called airties 4920.
  2. Hey guys. Im not good at this, I dont really know whats happening, so excuse my noobie approach, but this is what happens. We live in a house devided in 2, and we share the same internet and home central. From that central 2 cables run downstairs to us, one for TV signal and one for the internet. TV goes straight to our decoder, never had a problem with that. The internet cable goes into my switch, were I have my desktop, smart TV, home cinema receiver and wifi point cables connected. So we are sitting on the couch watching a movie on the google play movie app. Then everything looses connection. Our upstairs neighbor does not. The error on my desktop PC is "ethernet does not have a valid ip configuration". Wifi says connected but no internet. Now this has happened quite a few times, and I realized today, that if I unplug the ethernet cables for TV and Desktop from the switch, the wifi point gets connection. As soon as I plug in either the TV or the Desktop, it goes away. So I googled the desktop error and found this: http://troubleshooter.xyz/wiki/fix-ethernet-doesnt-have-a-valid-ip-configuration/ I did step one. Fully restarted my TV. Plugged it all back, and now its fine. Like nothing ever happened. My question is, what is causing this, and how can I make it stop? Its getting really annoying. Thanks!
  3. Yes. I have reinstalled new sound drivers.
  4. Hey guys. So im kinda lost. Today I got a popup for a windows update, and I scheduled it, and let it run. And since then, my sound has been a bit odd. So I play alot of counter strike and use teamspeak at the same time. I noticed it first ingame, that my sound sounds like it is muffled abit, or something? Its kinda hard to explain but its not as sharp as it was before. Like round edges and something like that. I wouldnt say like underwater, but its not far from it. And I get some echos aswell. I have realtek audio, and I am using an optical cable out to my wireless Steelseries 840. When I go to "sound" and go to properties for my optical output and events, it says "device install requested" twice, device migrated and 2 different "driver service added", finishing with "device installed". And my update was scheduled for 8:15 and all these events were at 8:27-28. So just after. Maybe that has something to do with it? Anyone know what this might be? Would really appreciate some help with this. Let me know if I need to check something or take screenshots of anything if needed. Thanks alot
  5. I have 16GB. Like I said, when I open task manager and look at the processes they dont even add up to the amount that is being used. Which I dont understand. My bad. - Intel I7-6700k @4.0Ghz -Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3200MHz 16GB -GTX 1070 -Gigabyte GA-Z170N-Gaming 5 motherboard Is there anything more you would need to know to adress the problem?
  6. Hey peeps So I have googled my ass off trying to figure this out, but im not a very techy guy, I just turn on my computer do schoolwork, watch youtube or play games. So with this problem im kinda lostt. My memory is currently at 95% at all times, even after a fresh restart. I had this problem before, but I was told this problem was because of memory leak, so I followed (I think it was) this post. http://www.drivethelife.com/windows-10/fix-high-ram-cpu-memory-usage-after-windows-10-update.html And the problem went away. Now it has returned, and this post does not help me anymore. Some said I have to disable Superfetch, which I realized was not enabled in the first place. This might sound stupid to those of you who knows your stuff, but when I open task manager and look at all the tasks open. It says 93-97%, but all the percentages below, does not add up to this. So again, im lost. And it looks like this problem have gotten worse after I started playing Player Unknown's Battleground, which is on itself struggling with alot of stuttering and memory issues for, I think, all players really. Does this have anything to do with it? If anyone could help me out, or even point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. Thanks
  7. Well, I know for next time at least Now I just need to use a migration software, and all is done. Thanks again dude, have a nice weekend
  8. Damn, I feel more super nooby now THanks dude. I just did "create simple volume" and that was it
  9. Hey guys! So I bought a new NVME M.2 960 Pro, plugged it into my computer as shown in the manual. But I does not show up in my computer. I did install the samsung NVME drivers. The only place I can see it, so that I know its not broken (I think) is in something called BSS(BBS) boot priorities(?) in the BIOS. There it is listed as number 2. The motherboard is a GA-Z170N-Gaming 5 mini itx motherboard. Have anyone installed this before, or knows how it is done? Cus I cant seem to find any info on it anywhere. So I would appreciate some help here. Consider me a super noob, so I might get lost if the solution is something advanced, bare with me please. Thanks in advance!
  10. Well, the thought have crossed me. But I see this as the last solution. And was hoping for some more feedback on how it is done from start to finish, so I know I have done it right before I cross it of as broken.
  11. Hey peeps I built a new computer about a month and a half ago, and bought a m.2 ssd. But for some reason I kinda forgot about it, and havent installed it until now. My motherboard is a GA-Z170N-Gaming 5 from Gigabyte. And I plugged the m.2 in the slot on the backside of the board, and tightened the screw. And the user manual for the board says that to find a M.2 PCIe SSD I should check under OffBoard SATA Controller Configuration in the BIOS. But when I do, it says that no PCIe SSD is present. I tried installing the driver software from Samsung, as someone said that was needed (http://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/download/tools.html). Though I cant say that helped me at all. Appreciate all feedback on this one, thanks!
  12. Hey peeps! So I have bought a Steelseries Apex M500 for my new rig, and I love it. My girl, dont like it as much. Cherry mx red switches are so loud and clicky, that she cant sleep if Im working late nights. But I like the keyboard, and dont rly wanna buy another one, but fear that I have to. Can I silence this keyboard in any way? I have heard about switching cherry mx switches, as cherry mx red silent apparently is a thing? And I read about som o-rings or something, that can do the trick, and also make the Keys more rapid (dunno what thats about tho)? If possible, is soldering needed (as some mentioned)? Anyway, I would appreciate any solution to this. Thanks for all help.
  13. Thanks! Been searching pcpartpicker and comparing so forth, and these are among those I am left with. So this is kinda where I am stuck
  14. Do you have any examples of this? All I have seen is that they overclock stable to excactly the same, and that the only difference are the extra lanes you get with the 6850k? I have never tried tho, just refering to tomshardware when they overclocked the CPU's 6800k, 6850k, 6900k and the 6950k.
