    Exactly what Damasucs is saying.

A boat takes 4 to 6 weeks to get from China to the U.S.

There was supposed to be VMI in warehouses to support the Chinese New Year shut down.  But when COVID hit and nothing shipped, that got dried up.  Then they opened up some factories, but with computer parts you don't have one factory that makes everything.  Even a tier 1 has to buy caps, diodes, IC's, etc. from around the country.  And now the shipping issue.  They only recently started moving the boats at full capacity (number of boats, not how much is on the boat) and booking schedules are pushed way out.

It's just the worse kind of domino effect you can imagine.

Right.  Not talking about shipping from Amazon, Newegg, etc. to you.

Talking about shipping from China to those vendors.

@blu4 the issue here is the massive, months long pause when nothing got shipped.  Local stock lasted for a while, but it ran out while the new waves of shipments were still sitting g on docks/just heading out by boat.

LTT and others talked about the struggle to get product to the docks, from dock to ship and get a space over.
You aren't ordering containers worth which means your fright carrier has already bought space and likely has a rush process to make sure it gets there quickly.

Oh.. Yeah.  I was in constant conversation with Thomas while he was testing the PSU.  That's how he knows about the burst mode, the lower switching frequency and the 2% efficiency requirements.

You actually start the video kind of late.  He explains the "why" and then shows the results.  It's important to understand what's going on causing what's happening rather than just focusing on what's happening.

LOL!  Saw this too.  Figured maybe they measured at the wall?  1400W AC @ 91.4% efficiency would be 1280W.

But that doesn't explain why only 1180W at 100V.  11.8A is below continuous output rating for a NEMA 1-15 outlet (12A continuous, 15A peak), so what I figure is 1400W is peak rating and it's probably only Gold efficiency.
