  1. I'm wearing my GN shirt, underneath my LTX hoodie. I support both of them. I haven't bought anything from either since it started, but I was unlikely to do that regardless of the situation. I am still subbed to both on YouTube and have an active floatplane sub as well and don't plan on changing any of that.
  2. Wow. This was exactly the type of info I was looking for. Thank you! Looks like if I can fit a 16th drive in there, I'll probably try and go that way. And if not, then I'll just go with one big 15-wide Z2.
  3. CraftComputing did a video 7 months ago for an add-on card to add IPMI to your computer. The title of the video is: "Never Pay For IPMI Again - BliKVM Review" It seemed pretty interesting. Maybe you can look into something like that.
  4. Hello everyone, I'm currently in the process of planning a new NAS build and I have a question regarding the optimal approach for setting up ZFS. The configuration I'm aiming for involves 15 drives, each with a capacity of 20TB. I'm seeking advice on the most effective way to arrange these drives in terms of VDEVs and similar considerations. One option I'm considering is to create a 5-Wide Z2 setup, where each VDEV consists of 5 drives in a Z2 RAID configuration. This arrangement would result in approximately 161TB of usable space. Alternatively, I'm also contemplating a straightforward Z2 setup utilizing all 15 drives, which would provide 260TB of usable space. While I'm inclined towards maximizing usable space, I'm also interested in adhering to best practices for VDEV implementation. If there's an approach that aligns better with these best practices, I'm open to considering it. Any insights or recommendations you can provide would be greatly appreciated. edit: for clarity
  5. I'm by no means a 3D printing expert (I've only done maybe 15-20 lifetime prints), but I watched the short circuit video on the Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro, and if I was in the market for a new printer, I'd probably look seriously at that one.
  6. Ahah! I knew it was probably already a video. Thanks for the link!
  7. It was mentioned that a few of the Whale packages were purchased by people who had already purchased the Whale package at the original Whale LAN that they had last year. So for some of them, it's not a once in a lifetime thing for them to come out. Some people just have money to blow.
  8. Maybe this has been asked / covered already (I did a quick search of the channel, but didn't find anything), but a video (probably a FAP) about what the most important settings to adjust for games would be interesting. Things such as Anti-Aliasing, Motion Blur, etc. Sort of a "What's it do? What should it be set to? (generally)" type of video. It's been a while since I've been into actually gaming with my PC, so I don't remember what all the settings should be.
  9. It's been a while and I'm not sure if either of you have figured this out, but basically what I did was go into the properties of the game from Steam. You'll find a text block that tells where to launch the file from. Basically something along the lines of: "/usr/bin/flatpak" run org.yuzu_emu.yuzu -f "{file location}" I added a "-g" (no quotes) after the "-f" (no quotes) and before the file location and was able to successfully run the file without selecting it in the emulator first.
  10. I haven't bought a CPU in a few years, but from what I imagine, as stated above, old habits die hard. People have been buying Intel CPUs for quite a while now and don't like the idea of changing something that they've been with for a while. Intel scooped up a bunch of the market and it's going to take a while for AMD to comeback, although they seem to be doing pretty well. Another thing that I've considered is that when Ryzen first came out they were having issues with RAM and you had to be specific on which RAM you could use with them. I know that this is probably mostly a non-issue now (I haven't heard anything lately, but I also haven't really looked into it much) but if I was considering a new CPU purchase and I didn't wanna do a bunch of research (as an average consumer may not want to do) this would turn me away.
  11. I would definitely buy one if you guys are willing.
  12. I would love to see the OG WAN show hoodie. I've wanted one of those for as long as I can remember. The hoodie that linus wears on the WAN show every once in a while.
  13. I haven't tried to do this since. What I ended up doing was just masking off the frame so I could paint the fans. You should be able to do the reverse. Masking off the fans and painting the frame. It shouldn't be an issue.
  14. @nicklmg I saw the Twitter post, but the craigslist ad is no longer working. Do you guys have a new link? How would I go about ordering one of these?
  15. It gets powered by the four pins. Yes those are still connected. Those actually are soldered onto the PCB. I was careful not to mess with those very much. I know how to solder in case they came off, but I wanted to avoid doing that. Luckily I didn't have to. Edit: OH! Are you talking about the three pins between the PCB and the coils? I assume that's where the power goes. And yes those are still connected as well. They just pull out easily and go in easily.
