  1. Best to stay around that price, but there is some wiggle room (max of 1000 CAD)
  2. Hey guys, I'm helping a friend out with his first PC Build. I think it is pretty good for the price so far, but does anyone have some suggestions for it? The list is missing a case and storage because those are already sorted http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NZY6GX
  3. Hey everyone, a friend of mine is looking into getting a laptop. He'd like it to be capable of doing some gaming (probably rather demanding gaming). He doesn't have unrealistic expectations, and understands the limitations of a laptop. Does anybody have some recommendations for him? He isn't solid on his budget yet so a few price points would be awesome
  4. My current build looks like this: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/TTN9Mp I've got about 300 bucks to spend on an upgrade. I was thinking about grabbing a second 760 and putting it into sli. What do you guys think?
  5. So today I was installing Windows 10 (Perhaps I should have waited, but waiting is lame) and the install was fine, steam boots up and all my programs and files seem to be good. Then I notice nvidia drivers appear not to be functioning (because duh, it's a new OS). So I go to the website to get the windows 10 drivers and I am greeted with a list of failures. I was rushing a bit so I go to the device manager, right click my gtx 760 and then proceed to uninstall the device (why? i really don't know) I still get the errors and then find a fix (thanks to some toms hardware threads) but I get a different error, saying that no gpu is detected... which reminds me... I uninstalled the damn thing in my moment of haste. Anyone know how to reinstall the device?
  6. Thanks but it seems those are 72 dollars on amazon,
  7. i am looking for the best headphones for under 50 dollars, they don't have to be "gaming grade" or "Uber beats" or anything like that, I don't want to be paying for branding here. But I am looking for the best pair of headphones for under 50 bucks. Preferably with some kind of noise cancellation. i hear allot about not buying gaming headsets or anything because you are just paying for the brand and marketing, and I totally agree, but the trouble is that without that marketing its hard to actually find the non brand headphones
  8. If I win I will be using the extra cores to power the lightmapping of my game, currently it takes 100% of my cpu for 4 hours, making half my work day extremely unproductive
  9. Holy crap, 1 million? Wasn't expect that for quite some time lol. (I may have accidentally double posted, I recall wanting to post here when I first saw the video but I can't recall if I actually did)
  10. Actually the Sync are just wireless, no other differences
  11. Didnt even notice, however I doubt they are very different EDIT: the only difference is one is wired and one is wireless
  12. prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair. How the is that not bias?
  13. Linus reviewed the sync by 50 headphones and completely bashed them NCIX However LOVED them, and are doing a giveaway of them Its possible that they just had different experiences but I doubt that Linus found them that terrible and NCIX couldn't find a single flaw Until they clear this up for me I just can no longer trust any NCIX reviews EDIT: I geuss there really was no reason to trust them in the first place, they are trying to sell it, geuss I just had my hopes to high Second Edit: some people are wondering if this makes linus untrustworthy, and thats complete BS. He USED to work for NCIX, now he just kinda guest shows on netlinked every friday. Besides back when linus was on the show it was less reviews and more guides, I dont think I watched any reviews on NCIX with him, only on LTT. That said I am sure he has done some reviews on NCIX, just not to the extent where it was his primary content. Looking back through his first 3 years of content shows he only reviewed GPU's
