  1. Hmm well that's good to know, I had planned to someday build/upgrade a machine from a dual/quad to an 8 core. If a 6 would work just fine then that'd save me some serious dough.
  2. Even with upcoming future games & heavy multi-tasking? E.G: Playing/streaming Forza 3 or GTA 6 while listening to music on YouTube plus browsing Newegg & afking an MMO all on Ultra Detail at 1080p.
  3. If you wanna overclock go with Nvidia, if you wanna prepare for a potential future with DX 12 or Vulcan go with AMD.
  4. I think he meant "back in 2013" not that he was 13 lol. I would wait to see what Zen or Kaby Lake produces though.
  5. There's a test I watched earlier on YouTube that showed an i7-6700k can bottleneck a 1080. Although I do agree that it's likely not his problem for this severity.
  6. Ahh, see some people say I know a lot about computers but there's many categories I still don't know jack about lol.
  7. If you can wait then get the HyperX Cloud Stinger when it's released. They'll be under $50.00 & Sennheiser makes the best quality but very expensive.
  8. So "low profile" is in regard to height?
  9. That case fits a cooler with a maximum height of 160mm, the largest dimension of that cooler is 164.8mm. I'm pretty sure that's in regard to the width but if I'm wrong then it won't fit.
  10. Just give him the money unless you know them really well in that they'd enjoy the joke.
  11. It depends on your budget, but there are mini 3GB GTX 1060's for under $200.00.
  12. If you can fit more add more, it will however make all your RAM run at 1333mhz instead of 1600 as it adopts the speed of the slowest installed.
  13. I know there's lots of sites that probably compare them on a general level although my questions & concerns are pretty specific. For an upcoming build early next year I'm trying to decide between Windows 10 Home OEM or Retail. I know digital downloads can be cheaper but my download speed is only 1.3Mbps (for $70.00/mo). So I'm left with the following questions I hope someone knows & can answer directly. 1a: Can Windows 10 OEM or Retail copy's be used again if a motherboard is changed? 1b: If not, then how much do the second license keys, activation codes or whatever they're called cost? 2a: I've heard the store-bought Windows 10 USB is junk, should I just make my own & how complicated is that? 2b: Also, how long would downloading a 20GB file onto this flash drive via a USB 2.0 port take? 3a: Can a bootable USB Flash Drive containing an OS also have the Motherboard's Drivers too? 3b: Besides Microsoft & Newegg, are there any other trusted hosts for Windows 10 Home OEM or Retail downloads that're cheaper?
  14. The only drivers that aren't up-to-date are my Motherboard's BIOS. I attempted to update them once but the EZ Flash Utility wouldn't even recognize my Patriot Xporter XT Flashdrive. Which is odd because the BIOS itself was recognizing the USB as being connected. Whether or not I just downloaded/extracted/transferred the update file to the USB wrong or not I was never able to find out. Also too being this is my only PC & I'm flat broke at the moment there's no way I could get a cheap quick replacement if something went horribly wrong.
  15. Alright well I tried that & it didn't help. I'm thinking it has to be my GPU or CPU since if I try clicking on anything during the lag that's delayed as well.
  16. Thanks will do! Over the years I have & no change that I can tell.
  17. It's a bit hard to describe & doesn't seem to be triggered by anything in particular. Sometimes it can occur several times a day or only a couple per week. Whether I'm gaming or on YouTube my mouse can start to lag. E.G: I'm moving the mouse around when suddenly the once fluid movement begins to stutter horribly. Sometimes a system restart appears to fix this but in all honestly it seems completely irrelevant since the lag/stutter can completely cease on it's own regardless of what I do or don't try. My Display Drivers are an up-to-date fresh install thanks to DDU. That I'm aware of no program or service is causing this as I've monitored all active ones during that time & nothing unusual starts. My Corsair Katar mouse drivers & CUE are up-to-date as well but I do have a suspicion that it's still somehow my GPU. Mainly because whenever I've performed a clean install, during that time of using the standard VGA graphics no such lag ever occurred. 1: Could this be the fault of my GPU simply being too old & low-end? 2: Could my CPU also be the culprit or even HDD? 3: What are the most common causes of mouse-lag, if that's what this is considered? Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 Antivirus Software: Microsoft Security Essentials & Malwarebytes (scanner only) Firewall: Windows Firewall & Router/Modem's Computer: CyberpowerPC Desktop PC Gamer Ultra 2082 CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 260 3.2GHz Motherboard: ASUS M4N68T-M-V2 RAM: 4GB DDR3 1333MHz Storage:1TB Hitachi HDS721010CLA SCSI Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6450 1GB Soundcard: Integrated Power Supply: TurboLink ATX-TL 500W-BK 12V Case: AZZA Orion 202 EVO Black / Red SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower
  18. Yeah I didn't even know the price lol, just remembered it from a video I had seen before.
  19. Corsair's Dominator is black with orange heat spreaders.
  20. Getting a case that cheap will have consequences, might as well give someone the $20.00 because something that cheap may not even last a year. Look through this list & see if it helps: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007583 600546036&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&Order=PRICE&PageSize=36
  21. Assuming you're talking about their SSD's, the 750 is older I believe so it's slower & has 6GB less space than the 950. Also the 750 is a 2.5" Sata SSD while the 950 is for M.2 slot on your motherboard if it has one. This should give ya additional details on a direct compassion between the two.
  22. If your budget is $200.00 or less then go with a 3GB GTX 1060 or 4GB RX 470. RX 470: Better performance in DX 12 titles & Vulcan so potential future-proofing. A company who supposedly doesn't gimp their older cards when the next generation releases (I don't know if Nvidia really does this or not). Has crossfire capability, the 1060 lacks SLI. 3GB GTX 1060: Better performance in current titles in DX 11. Better at overclocking Less power & heat
  23. Start out with the styles of mouse you want, simple like me & only 3-4 buttons or do you love a loaded rodent?
  24. This is an issue I've been wondering about too, they seem to trade blows in different games based off the YouTube videos I've seen. What I wonder is which is better at video editing too. 3GB GTX 1060: Has higher clock speeds Better performance with more current, DX11 titles A More financially stable company 4GB RX 470: Has more VRAM Better performance with DX12 so some future-proofing Will run Vulcan based games like Doom better than an equivalent Nvidia card.
  25. Just finished uninstalling it & all is fine, thank you so much!
