  1. It wouldn't be big enough, as it is a 1TB and I have used more than 1TB on my drive. But I share this external drive with my family (still live at home) so we can all back up our device files onto it. I've still got an SSD anyway so the PC will still work if the HDD goes
  2. Yep that's what I have been doing on my 1TB external, can't get everything but I've got the most important data.
  3. I have an ST3000DM001 This drive has been in service for 2 and a half years, running for over 7300 hours. According to backblaze data these drives mainly start dying after 2 years. It recently made a noise so loud I could hear it through my headset playing fallout 4 and talking in discord. Based on the sound recordings on http://datacent.com/hard_drive_sounds.php it sounds like the start of bad heads. Would i be right in saying that if the heads go bad they can just be replaced or replace the whole actuator arm in the drive? Provided the heads don't crash into the platter or somehow cause damage? I really want to retire this awful drive but don't have the money for a replacement yet. The uncorrectable sector count has been on 8 for around a year now, and the current pending sector count recently wen't from 8 to 0.
  4. Budget is £60 or less, needing to spend as little as possible right now, but still want to get this working right. Could afford that antec one from scan. Only once has it shut off under light load
  5. Instant, then after a second it turns back on. The graphics card is also factory overclocked by ASUS, i should have said that before
  6. Not exactly a big table, but still a table
  7. Sure, give me a minute to get a picture
  8. Put a massive load on the GPU and it cuts out and has to reboot. A massive problem, I'm sure you'll agree
  9. What makes the corsair one worse than mine?
  10. I got a 4790 (think the 700-311 model has the 4770, not that it makes a difference really), and the GPU is overclocked. My power supply may just be faulty or something, will take a look at that PSU, provided I can get it here in the UK
  11. Hi, i've got an HP ENVY 700-311na PC that was upgraded over a year ago with an SSD and new graphics card (From R9 270 to ASUS TURBO GTX 970). The power supply is an absolute piece of shit made by delta electronics claiming to be outputting 470W which it clearly isn't. So, will this be good enough?: https://www.scan.co.uk/products/650w-corsair-vs650-refurbished-80-plus-white-fully-wired-sli-crossfire-single-rail-50a-plus12v-1x120?utm_source=google shopping&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=CjwKEAiA2OzDBRCdqIyIqYaaqQoSJABeJZdiwIFkrD01MkbePi018UJtj09mipN0Px9zEtxZWwZUHRoC1ILw_wcB I don't really understand half of the terms that are used for power supplies, I'm just looking for one around this wattage able to run my system
  12. Worked for a while and stopped on my note 3... What a joke
  13. Just what the title says, my 360 controller does not work with my S7 Edge or Tab S2. Tried with the official samsung adapter and a chinese one. Controller gets power but doesn't do anything. Last time this controller was working on a device was with the chinese adapter on a russian prestigio tablet. Controller works fine with PC. Keyboard works fine with both devices. How do I get this working? I read on reddit that samsung disabled USB Controllers but don't know if this is true.
  14. Tried opening MSEdge and MalwareBytes. Not much of a delay on those specific programs but nothing unusual in task manager. Not more than 1% disk usage, cpu on spiked up by 5% at most. Nothing unusual on the RAM use either. Task manager itself is one of the slowest things now but obviously I cant open task manager, and then monitor stats in task manager
