  1. For some reason the included cable from Dell is faulty. I switched cables and it works at 144 Hz now. I just didn't think that would be the case considering I got the cable straight from them smh. Thank you!
  2. no OSD settings for type of display port connection
  3. Just got the monitor and I've tried to set it past 60 Hz but it immediately shuts off from no signal being detected(up to 144 Hz is able to be selected). This happens at any resolution when the settings are changed past 60 Hz in Nvidia Control Panel or Windows. I've tried with g-sync both on and off as well. I am using display port. Also this is set-up with a second 1080p monitor which is capped at 60Hz connected through my second display port connection. Not sure if that matters. Dell S2716DG gtx 1070 i7 6800k Windows 10 64bit Thanks in advance
  4. I play Black Ops 2 as well and I I'd agree it's a really good game, but I got bored of its gameplay a bit. That's why I'm playing blops 3 mostly right now
  5. I'm trying to get together some people to play Call of Duty with. I mostly play black ops 3 and CoD 4 remaster, but I do have other titles too. If anybody's interested then hit me up with a friend request and message on Steam. Thanks Steam profile: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Kurt42/
  6. That's what fixed it, but I was under the impression that resetting Windows did the same thing without getting rid of my files. I guess I was wrong...
  7. Also posted this in troubleshooting, but no replies yet... So I have an issue with my updated system. I've essentially updated everything, but the drives and GPU. System booted fine when all the parts were first installed, but after updating the bios from VER 0401 to VER 1401 there have been issues non-stop. Even after reverting the BIOS to 0401 again the same issue persists. Keyboard and mouse are not recognized after passing bios and loading to windows lock page. As soon as the windows logo pops up for loading my keyboard and mouse turn off and don't turn back on leaving me unable to do anything. I/O works perfect in bios without a hitch. I have a feeling this is something on the OS side of things since I only have issues when within the operating system environment. Errors seen so far: - Un"___"able boot device (BSOD) [triggers after going to windows twice unsuccessfully] - Overclocking error (bios screen) [this one happens after BSOD loop five times] Fixes tried: - Windows reset in advanced troubleshooting. I get through windows boot and lock screen with ease and everything appears to be perfect, but restarting system brings about same errors. - BIOS update and flashback. Both make no difference it seems, but did work without error each time. System: i76800k (no overclock) x99 asus strix gaming 32gb ddr4 gskill trident z 3200MHz (running at stock 2133 for troubleshooting) gtx 1070 asus strix 240 GB SSD as boot drive Windows 10 64-bit Educational - I've reset windows 3 times now to no avail, but have not done full reformat

  9. Thank you both of you so much!!! In the end I had to go the route of installing the new build of win 10 education, but I'm sure the other method suggested would've worked just as well or faster if my build of windows wasn't so outdated lol
  10. alright I'll give it a shot
  11. literally my exact problem... I'll try that out
  12. I sure am. Updated and restarted my PC like 5 times after reinstalling windows. Perfect clean slate and these drivers won't install
  13. Also when installing directly from nvidia, the driver install doesn't even pass the system check. And also when attempting to install the 32 bit version it says the graphics card isn't compatible either.
  14. I just got a brand new gtx 1070 today and already had a 750ti installed in my system previously. Everything worked perfectly fine and everything was up to date, but ever since installing the card neither windows or geforce experience can install the driver. Windows runs into an "unexpected problem" saying the card is a GTX 1070 and geforce experience says my version of windows 10 isn't supported... I have a valid copy of win 10 education 64 bit which is basically Pro/enterprise (I tried both 64 and 32 bit). I have already reformatted my OS and the problem still prevails. In device manager the card shows up as "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" saying the device is functioning properly. The card is functioning at 100% it seems, so how do I get around this software wise? TL;DR geforce drivers aren't installing because my version of windows 10 isn't recognized even though it's legit
  15. I'd love to get one of these cards! I'm currently running a gtx 750ti which is really starting to struggle in new AAA titles. Also love everything AMD has been doing recently for the community
