Sorry to bug you so much. there is one more option though. Vega 64 for $75 to go with my freesync monitor. But I am pushing 1440p 144hz and 3440x1440 monitors.

I have. Their step up cards are the standard SC model for the 1080 Ti. anything bells and whistles or premium model are not available.

Its a custom PCB so no People have modded the GPU by filing down the connectors, but I do not want to do that at all.

As the title states.
If anyone knows my history, I had a shit experience with Asus support and vowed to never grab an ASUS product, but after saving gift cards and getting a 10% coupon, I can get either a EVGA 1080 Ti SC2 and ASUS 1080 Ti STRIX edition at Best buy for dirt cheap (out of pocket)
The prices for each gpu would be roughly $200.
I know EVGA is a god Send in the watercooling community but EKWB has stated they are not going to make a waterblock for the SC2 thanks to a pin connector that is protruding out blocking a waterblock. There are EKWB blocks for the STRIX edition though.
Is ASUS against removing the stock cooler and adding a waterblock? I saw on a video they still do the whole "void if removed" sticker on screws.

The $80k one was run by Dbrand and working with Unbox and MQhd. Majority run by Dbrand just being helped by the other two. Prize given to a fiance of a person who partners and worked with Dbrand.

LaboonTheWhale reacted to Razor Blade in Stupid question about APR on Credit cards for beginners
APR or Annual Percentage Rate is calculated on a balance that is carried over to the next month. If you have a 20% APR it isn't 20% per month, it is 20% over a year. This means your monthly calculated interest rate will be 20% divided by 12 months. Minimum payment can vary from issuer to issuer but will generally take into account principle and interest rate.
In your example if you carried over a $500 balance you would be charged 8.33 after the first month. Your new balance would be 508.33 for the next month. You wouldn't have interest for your introductory 0% APR but make sure you read the agreement carefully and understand it (don't be afraid to call them and ask questions) to make sure you don't get caught up in a got-cha.

yes, if that is the terms/conditions of the contract.
your $1000 debt now has the conditions of many interpretations.
each month you will be required to make a monthly payment to pay off the debt. what happens if you miss one payment? two payments?
you've been making the minimum payment ($33.33 for 15 months/cycles) and have a remaining balance of $500 (no missed payments, congratulations!).
the APR is set to your 20%. your next statement will reflect your remaining debt, plus the 20% or $600 balance to be spread amongst the next calendar year.
so instead of the $33.33, your new minimum monthly payment will be $50. your balance will increase $ 8.33 per month to reflect the new interest. pay it off early, save that $ 8.33 times months ahead of the year.

LaboonTheWhale got a reaction from PianoPlayer88Key in Bought open box cpu, How should I stress test it to make sure that theres nothing wrong?
I was told numerous times when I had my 4790k that you werent supposed to use prime 95 with Devi's canyon. to use intel's extreme test instead.

I know i was genuinely surprised at the price. They sell cheaper than market I know that. $220 for a new while others are at 240. openbox strix z370 itx as well for $143. $30 mobo discount down to $113. $288 + tax for 8600k + itx board. love that store.
I'll DL and run Cinebench then!

LaboonTheWhale got a reaction from Canada EH in During Cinebench test, 8700k spikes up to 90C while Ryzen stays 66C. can't be normal?
hey guys
So i bought myself an 8700k on a deal i couldnt pass up so I side graded from ryzen to coffee lake. (know Ryzen + and whatnot). I did it because i basically purely game.
I OC'd it to 5Ghz on a Noctua UH14s. the 14s handles gaming load temps perfectly fine but when I ran the cinebench test it spiked straight to 90
Is it potentially a sign that my thermal paste isn't spread evenly? I'm using Arctic MX-4. or is this just normal?
The Ryzen 1700 I have set up for my gf I do the same test (3.8Ghz using a Dark Rock TF) and that doesn't go above 66C.
Edit: or is it something to do with Intel using thermal compound below the IHS and ryzen is Soldered? I'm not too familiar that in depth.

LaboonTheWhale got a reaction from Damascus in Looking for 2 360mm rads, any recommendations?
the clearance is only for 280/420mm rads as the mounting is offset. The 360 doesnt technically have a limit. but obviously cant use those massive brick ones.

The heatsink is symmetrical so fans fit on either side just the same.

thats hard to recommend when DDR4 is stupid expensive and a gtx 1060 is going for $600.

LaboonTheWhale got a reaction from LienusLateTips in How do I explain to a friend looking to get into PC gaming in easy wording that they do not NEED an i7 for Battlefield 1
Found a benchmark with the 8600k and 4790k included. 4790k hovering around 130. while the 8600k was at 180. hopefully this is good enough... ~40% difference?

I could buy outright but I just wanted to make sure thats how it would work. With having good credit being something so important here especially later on if I need to borrow money for a House or something I wanted to make sure to get started on working on that.
