  1. using a 650w power supply. Friend has practically the same build but with gtx 1080 ti
  2. Posting this here to because it's probably a better fit. Hello, I just upgrade my PC to a new motherboard and case. I went from an x370 to b550. I did this as my old motherboard would not fit in the new case and also since my ram was technically incompatible with my cpu/motherboard combo. I got the system built and ran into some interesting issues. First cinebench can't run the opengl benchmark without crashing. COD MW sometimes launches but freezes and crashes. I'm getting errors in event viewer like "The description for Event ID 13 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer." and "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.". I used to get this issue whenever i tried to oc my ram on my old motherboard that was incompatible. But I suppose it might be something else this time as mem test said my ram was fine. My pc also seems to freeze for maybe from anywhere from a second to 5 seconds. Any idea what could be the culprit? GPU drivers up to date CPU drivers up to date BIOS up to date

  4. I'd go for a slightly larger power supply. And i consider looking into a better monitor.
  5. Often ISPs claim speeds like 300mbps. But thats to their server. Not the entire internet. Try their speed test. What do you get from the google speed test? I pay for gigabit and google tells me I get 60mbps. Other online speed tests show between 600-800mbps.
  6. Hi, I have Verizon fios and just got gigabit. They had to upgrade the ONT. I'm trying to figure out the best way to set everything up. I've attached two shitty diagrams of what I was thinking. Currently, I used the MI424WR rev i as my DHCP server. But I'm not sure whether my Netgear R7800 would be better as a dhcp server. Can the new ONT's output over ethernet and coax(MoCA) at the same time?
  7. Current macropad I'm building. It uses gateron browns.
  8. I swapped my stock and pistol grip and added a sling. I need to go take a new pic of it.
  9. here's an older pick of my cz P09 and ar15
  10. I just picked up a mosin nagant sniper package for $1050. all matching besides scope mount.
  11. Hi, So recently i tried overclocking and changing my ram speed to its rated speed. Two days ago I had it stable with no games crashing and a solid performance improvement. Well today I tried playing rainbow six siege and crash. I suspected maybe it's my overclock and reset both and it still crashed. I was finally able to play a match in border less mode. After reviewing Event viewer I have found very consistent errors. Error 1: A corrected hardware error has occurred. Component: PCI Express Legacy Endpoint Error Source: Advanced Error Reporting (PCI Express) Bus:Device:Function: 0x3:0x0:0x0 Vendor ID:Device ID: 0x1022:0x43B9 Class Code: 0x60330 Error 2: A corrected hardware error has occurred. Component: PCI Express Upstream Switch Port Error Source: Advanced Error Reporting (PCI Express) Bus:Device:Function: 0x3:0x0:0x2 Vendor ID:Device ID: 0x1022:0x43B0 Class Code: 0x30400
  12. So after getting it stable, siege crashed when i joined at match. I dropped the clock to 4.1ghz at 1.28v and it ran fine.
  13. Alright so it seems my cpu clock was unstable, the voltage was to low. I scaled it back to 4.2ghz and 1.293v. I stress tested both small FFTs and large FFTs. Max mobo temp is 55C and max cpu temp is 72C. Time to load up siege and give a try.
  14. I'm going to try setting the memory at 2933mhz.
  15. the memory kit is rated for 3000mhz and 15-17-17-35. XMP had a preset profile with the right numbers.
  16. I tried overclocking the ram and found that the reason I never kept it overclocked was because games like Rainbow six siege would crash at random times.
  17. I was able to get the voltage down to 1.2875v ill try to go lower. I thought it was unsafe over 1.4v.
  18. Hi, I have been overclocking my Ryzen 3600 with Ryzen master. I have achieved 4.3ghz at 1.375v. I was able to push 4.5ghz but the voltage was around 1.42v. I confused with these voltages because 1.42v seems high but stock the voltage is peaking 1.44v. Whats going on here? NOTE: Temps are fine, it's watercooled, and has a x370 mobo. Ram is underclocked to 2133 because of weird compatibility issue.
  19. Turned out to my ram. Ram is rated at 3000mhz. Motherboard lists as it having to run at 2933mhz. Neither speeds work. I have to leave it at 2133mhz now. fml
  20. How are samsung drives wildly overpriced? It was a $9 difference between the one he listed and the samsung 970. They can be but recently they've been pretty cheap.
  21. You don't have to but it would make things easier. That will work, you might be better off with a samsung m.2 as samsung supposedly has better speeds and better software.
  22. First it might be better to return the 9900k for an i7 or R7 and use the money towards a better gpu. No you will need to reinstall windows to have the proper drivers installed. I would backup all the files you cant recover and then reformat your drive. Is this a ssd or hdd?
  23. I recently upgraded my PC with a new cpu and cooler. I reinstalled windows and all proper drivers. Whenever I launch a game it will crashing 30 seconds. It takes 2 or 3 crashes to finally get the game to run and be playable. After taking a look at event viewer, I am getting the "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." error. I underclocked my gpu and it sort of solved the issue for one game.
