  1. Seems like a very slim and pedantic degree of difference, if any. They hoped for information, but didn't expect it? Are they a 6 year old blowing out birthday candles? Something something guns. But there's recently been more of a push to obtain better privacy and security, though the government always likes to have it's own loopholes.
  2. Good news! The Canadian Supreme court has voted in favor of Mike Ward and all charges are dropped. Though it was a close call of 4-5, which is still nucking futs to me. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/mike-ward-scc-jérémy-gabriel-1.6229032
  3. I like the arguments of "Thinner bezels" when Macs still have a 3 inch thick black border around the display and this has at least a quarter inch around all 4 sides. You seriously mean to tell me it's easier to put a stupid notch in and design software around that than just putting it in the thick ass bezel? I also like the lack of headphone jack for "thinness" on anything when the worlds thinnest phone still manages to have one.
  4. Try medium then. I just remember the old Apple headphones and how suckass they were. Sounded garbage, hurt like hell to wear, and fell out all the time. The newer version hair dryers are better though. My earbuds I now rarely use, but they have comply foam tips and are roughly equivalent to ear plugs. If you're really bothered by it you should be able to go to an aurologist and have custom ones made.
  5. Isn't this all kinda moot when their database gets hacked and the documents of 3 million are leaked? I just don't trust password managers that much, then again I also don't have any real secret accounts. But I know people who keep passwords just in an excel spreadsheet on their PC.
  6. For the love of FUCK! Did no one watch the video I posted? It's literally a 25 minute interview with the prop maker about how they make these guns inoperable with live ammo and how they go about safety measures on set. Stop replying to me with points that aren't true.
  7. Rule #1 of ANY firearm. It's ALWAYS loaded and it WILL kill anything you point it at. You're making conjecture to argue for no reason. Children with Nerf and Airsoft understand this rule. The only people that don't, know nothing about guns. Also, 99.9% of people that are anti-gun, have never been around one, much less shot one, and even less been trained on one. And yes, I 100% would come down on him for using a real bottle. You clearly didn't watch the video I posted. These prop makers take exceptional care with their equipment to make sure no one gets hurt. The prop guy isn't handing him a real bottle and telling him it's fake. He also shouldn't pick up random things and assume they're fake. That's toddler behavior. It's pretty ironic though, you gotta admit. He was pretty consistent about giving people shit for shootings, thus we need gun regulation, so I hope you don't defend that behavior.
  8. What does not being at a firing range have to do with it? And it's not baseless conjecture. Baldwin knows nothing about guns.
  9. Highly unlikely he knows anything about them, as per usual with most people that are against guns. They could also just use co2 airsoft.
  10. Yes, but we're also talking an actor here, and a vehemently anti-gun actor who thinks guns are evil.
  11. No, they'll use modified real guns. They'll remove the firing pin so they can't shoot or otherwise mod them so they can only shoot smaller blanks, which still have a wad. If they're pistol whipping someone it can be a foam or rubber all painted up. But yeah. Blanks provide the recoil, and the wads aren't dangerous past a couple feet. I forget who, but back in the day some dumb actor or musician thought it would be cool to shoot himself with a blank at a party. Pretty sure that ended the party right quick. It's very uncommon to have real live guns on set, much less actors shooting them. John Wick and similar will have actors train on firing ranges for how to use it, but not in the filming. Guess Baldwin skipped that bit. Blanks shoot small paper or plastic wads, if they aren't just crimped charges. It was definitely a live round, it went through one person and lodged in another. A blank can't do that. Though I am curious what distance before blanks become non-lethal.
  12. China says whatever it thinks will make the other nations happy and leave them alone. Meanwhile they make environment destroying dams while building cheap infrastructure they later flood with said dams and ramp up coal plant productions while saying they won't. China is not at all invested in lowering pollution, nor do they even attempt to anything to lower it. I can only assume you're implying the US, which has pollution levels on par with the European countries, unlike China which produces more than the US and Europe combined. It's not like the US doesn't have emissions controls and taxes. Here's a documentary produced by Michael Moore. It doesn't really reveal anything anyone paying attention didn't already know. Some people argue about more minor points like the claim that solar panels only last a decade, and they say they now are insured for 20 years, but they miss everything else surrounding it. It's still a better solution in areas that aren't prone to natural disasters, like most of the internal continents. No earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, etc. and there's no real harm done. Japan uses them and they only had a problem when a massive tsunami hit. Meanwhile California is super strict about emissions and power production and has constant rolling brown outs where the mayors and governor tell people to shut off their ac and lights. Biofuel isn't even a stepping stone. It just straight shouldn't be done. Green energy is too expensive for it's low efficiency right now, and there's other drawbacks with each of them that produce a negative environmental impact. Especially cutting down trees for biofuel. I'm less worried about that and more about dumping toxic materials.
  13. And by that you mean China. All of the current "green energy" options are a scam, meanwhile things like Nuclear that are far more sustainable and produce more power with less emissions are being banned. Ever heard of biofuel plants? They make more emissions, even incredibly toxic ones, by burning freshly cut trees and tires to make a less efficient power supply than coal or gas. But because they burn trees, it's sustainable and eco-friendly. The bigger issue is the sheer volume of trash people produce in this modern age of disposable everything.
  14. I haven't bought a new sim since PC2 and this is pretty much why. Though I did get Forza 7, which is close enough for me and give me more interesting races on the whole, even though the AI is a bunch of filthy cheaters. It's honestly not near as bad as people make it out to be.
  15. Maybe, but they still told Sony to fuck off, Sony said "Let's take this outside" and they just gave up immediately. They're that irritating guy that always talks mad shit about everyone and how tough he is, but gets all flustered and backpedals so hard they set a new reverse land speed record every time someone actually confronts them. If you're going to talk mad shit, at least actually go through with it.
  16. You'd think if they were literally asking for it they would fight it in court or something. This is like daring the biker gang guy at the bar to punch you in the face after you tell him to fuck off, then after he punches you you're just like "Oh, okay. I'm sorry."
  17. So no? I think I saw TM made a new "budget" wheel that's more crap and more expensive than what it's supposed to be replacing.
  18. Especially considering teens... hormones... coming of age... "experimenting..." I think the picture is painted. It's one thing to monitor the sites they go to, whatever, but being able to record them without knowledge or consent is illegal and creepy.
  19. I think there were some people saying the laptops they bought the school was trying to force some program on them that would grant them access to pretty much everything too, so it's not necessarily a school laptop thing. The bigger issue is when it has a webcam and mic that can just always be recording without your knowledge or consent.
  20. Not really news, people were saying this months ago and it wasn't just the US. And unless they made sure only people 18+ got these spy devices, it's also illegal. But nothing is going to be done about it, as per usual.
  21. Not really. The cars aren't known for reliability, the customer service is very known for being terrible at best and non-existent at worst, none of his release plans for any vehicle or production has been met to date, overstatements is an understatement, even things like the Tesla Semi if they lived up to their marketing would still be pointless, he knowingly showcases and sells false products that don't even exist, and he's an egotistical asshat. They're even upcharging people $400 to access their own heated seats. Tesla is a complete joke, and the only reason people buy them is because they were the first big push into government subsidized EVs. Now Ford, Porsche, VW, and others are entering the EV and hybrid market and they're all much better than Tesla. The only reason Elon runs Tesla is to fund SpaceX. Check out the cybertruck, his claims of ramping up production, the roadster, the Semi, solar titles, opening factories, self driving cars by 2020, etc. and literally none of them have worked or happened yet.
  22. Haven't looked in here in a while, but has any of this happened? I don't trust TM to begin with, but a new joystick/yoke might be decent. Though I also read a lot of reviews that even the $400 Warthog dies pretty quick.
  23. BF4 was a good time. At least it didn't have annoying color filters and the same death animation every time like 3. BF4 was more like 3.5, though it tried to generalize the maps and stuff so none of the game modes other than conquest really worked. Given their claim of how Portal works I don't see how it couldn't. Definitely a deal breaker if it doesn't though. I played with my buddy on PS5 and it was garbage. It might have a memory leak or something, the longer we played the worse it got and it started dropping to single digits and had seizure inducing flashes. Aside from the sheer quantity of bugs that 100% aren't all going to be fixed by launch, the map is awful. The capture points suck, there's no flow, the 2 primary towers have sightlines over 80% of the map with no cover, the operators are a terrible idea, the weapon customization/unlock is convoluted (might be more obvious with final UI), the UI is garbage, and the vehicle drops is a dumb idea. For that matter so is what people are apparently calling the "plus system" instead of the Crysis menu. There's no need for it. It's like they went around to a bunch of other games and pulled out their gimmicky ideas. They pulled the Crysis menu from a game where it makes sense, the tornado from JC3? 4? Operators from... a bunch of things... Battlefield didn't need any of this.
