  1. this is neat. I didn't know this was a thing. I've earned 277M points over the last couple months for LTT (758 work units). Now to start enrolling in these giveaways xD (my @ is JosephMahma if anyone cares)
  2. What about all the affiliates losing money because of Honey? And the users that don’t realize who is getting screwed for Honey to make money? Am I crazy for thinking Linus is a crook for this? I’m a big fan of a lot of smaller youtubers
  3. Word on the street is that Honey takes affiliate money.. is that a fact? Any chance LTT will look into that? I’m happy you guys have sponsors but this one appears to be detrimental to the content creating community at large... surely they can’t be THAT good of a sponsor?
  4. Yes I have a similar question and this thread didn't get very far into answering the OP's question. Yes- Legion is far more demanding than the last expansion was (as well as the graphics engine doesn't work well with the API or something cuz everyone is having these issues). +25% isn't that much.. considering a 1080 gives a similar jump from a 1070- but I'm sure it scales better at 4K than a single 1080 does. I have heard a few claims that SLI can run +50-60% performance- of course those are at different resolutions. I have a 1070, 6600k, SSD, 16gb ram and 2560x1080 Ultrawide Monitor. Maxed settings, including SSAA x4 + CMAA, I am getting 35-50 FPS on average. I am wondering if it's more likely I'd see a higher average FPS with another 1070 or a 1080?
  5. Can't find info for this anywhere- just M.2 performance in general. WoW forums aren't helping. I have a Samsung Evo 850.. great load times, boot up in under 30 seconds, never thought "this is going slow"... Except for object and NPC loading in WoW at times. I am looking at getting a 950 (5x faster read speed) or 951 (4x faster read speed) to solve this problem. I want to eliminate this loading of game objects crap once and for all. Anyone have experience with switching between the 2 in a huge game like this? Anyone without anecdotal evidence wanna share what would happen in theory?
  6. Wow thank you guys so much- especially Oshino for going beyond the call of duty!! I'm so glad I wrote this before I went to sleep because I woke up with all these answers! FYI guys I don't have integrated graphics (iGPU). I am going to try what Oshino said and check back if that works. I'm only at 30-40 FPS so losing 5-6 FPS would be a bit of a hit. Ok well thanks again! Hopefully I have reason to check back!
  7. Set-Up: 29" LG Ultrawide and 23" Acer P235H Intel Core i7 3930k EVGA GTX 780 TI SC MSI GT 730 (2GB DDR5) ASUS RAMPAGE IV EXTREME 8 GB RAM I want to run to monitors through two different discrete graphics cards with the purpose of playing wow on the one monitor and watching family guy on the other. Yes I know either graphics card can run both to some degree but I don't want to tie up the GTX's performance on streaming video at the same time. (The new WoW expansion is pretty demanding at ultra settings if you don't already know). There are plenty of forums about using SLI to achieve this or using a discrete and integrated graphics card to do this. I found an old Forum posts explaining this is possible as long as the cards are run series. My question is how do I set this up? I have a tiny bit more troubleshooting I can do and I will lay out what I can below. Currently I have a DVI cable connecting the GT 730 and an HDMI connector in the GTX 780 TI . When I run both monitors through the GTX I can configure them out however I want. The fan on the GT 730 is running so I know what has power but plugging n either monitor into it doesn't yield any results. (The GTX is powered by a six and an 8 pin PCI express modular cables and the GT is run right off of the PCI express slot). I have yet to unplug the GTX 780 TI to see if it is messing with the other card (?). I'm sure having only the GT 730 running will get a dual monitor display but I know it just plugging in either monitor on with the GTX running does not yield any results .. I am almost certain I have a right driver as I got it right off the manufacturer's website (MSI). I have one card in a PCI-E x16 and the other x8 (due to spacing considerations). I'm not sure what does turn on or off in the bios if anything . I checked the forums and google for an answer to no avail. I found this this closely related thread but it didn't answer my question:
