  1. Great, now you've got that song in my head
  2. Best 13 year old on the forum by far And thanks man, I've been using it for ages and never found anything better
  3. I love @tmcclelland455 as well
  4. Someone's just been added to an NSA watchlist
  5. Hello again LTT I'm getting ever closer to building my first real gaming PC, and I was thinking about future upgradeability in the form of SLI. I've chosen the GTX 770 for my build, and intend to add a second card in the future, as and when I can afford it. I know that a single 770 needs 42 amps on the +12V rail, but what about two of them? Does it scale exactly (so I'd need at least 84 amps), or is it more complicated than that? Cheers once again guys, FullNuclearBreakfast (Any power supply recommendations would be much appreciated )
  6. FullNuclearBreakfast's regular school morning Wake up at 7:20am, turn off alarm, wake up again 1/2 an hour later, panic about how late I am, force myself out of bed, crawl into the shower, struggle to retain consciousness, dry & dress, turn my room upside down looking for my watch and keys, stumble downstairs, wolf down some bread (no time/can't be arsed to toast it), debate with myself about whether I have time for coffee or not, conclude I don't, brush teeth, leave, walk to school full tilt (I don't run). FullNuclearBreakfast's regular weekend/holiday morning Go to sleep ~3am hoping to sleep in, wake up ~9am, sulk about how early it is, watch videos on tablet until bored, chuck on pyjamas/whatever's on the floor, wander downstairs (usually about 12pm), eat whatever I can find, make coffee, take coffee back to my room and watch more videos. Get dressed if I can be arsed (often the next day ).
  7. My real problem with these is that people wouldn't see them - one of the main reasons I wear in-ears whenever I go outside is so people assume I've got music on and don't talk to me
  8. Games don't kill people, rappers do. It is stupid though. People like to blame the *new thing* - before games it's been: the radio, movies, The Beatles, rock & roll, Elvis, TV... none of them were legitimately causing anything, but people seem to like to have a kind of scapegoat that they can blame everything bad on. The question is what it'll be next - maybe people will start saying flying cars are causing mass shootings.
  9. So is Theatre Mode just the black bars?
  10. Great. I'm wrong again. It's not a great day for me, is it? Still, we've never owned a wireless printer (I assumed these always connect over your network btw), so I'm still not sure why she thought it was Bluetooth. No, that's just me. Being a dick.
  11. Exactly! I wasn't watching a video or livestream, and I wasn't downloading a file. Just a handful of static tabs, and somehow it's my fault
  12. When my mum resets the router because the internet is being slow (I'll be honest, that did fix it, if only because it meant my sister gave up on watching endless makeup videos and went to sleep) When my step-dad buys things, such as our internet, his computer, his Powerline adaptors, etc. etc. because they're "the cheapest one" When my mum is confused as to why her document isn't printing - "You haven't plugged the printer into your laptop, Mum" "Oh. I thought it was Bluetooth" (wtf Bluetooth printers aren't even a thing). Considering we've had this printer for several years, and it's never been Bluetooth, I'm not entirely sure what she was thinking. I think she's losing her mind. When my Mum buys a Mac because she "is old and knows how to use Macs" (that's actually what she said) When the guy in PC World, when told we don't want MS Office and can just use OpenOffice or LibreOffice, claims they aren't compatible with Windows 8. When all of my family use Apple products religiously When my dad thinks "Macs never go wrong" When my dad tries to justify not being able to upgrade or repair Macs - "it means Apple can control what hardware people use; it just works" When my mum gets angry at me for not knowing why our internet is down When my mum gets angry at me for the internet going slowly, even though I only have a few Chrome tabs open When my parents claim my games break the computer (actually they just run like shit because they still haven't bothered to upgrade this 7 year old piece of junk) When my dad claims "Steam is badly optimised" because his old MacBook is so terrible Steam crashes when you close it - I'm pretty sure Valve know what they're doing, Dad When my sister thinks a standard size mousepad is "huge" When my family think I'm weird for wanting to put my new computer (should be building Aug-Sep) on my desk instead of on the floor When my friend (JS) thinks overclocking has absolutely no performance benefits and will cause his computer to melt. When JS thinks that making a USB boot drive is "moronic" When JS thinks iOS is better than Android but thinks Ubuntu is the best OS When people at school try to claim consoles are somehow better than PC MY LIFE IS TERRIBLE NO-ONE UNDERSTANDS ME
  13. I'm using a Power Mac G4 as a bedside table at my Dad's house atm; my uncle is using a similar model as a coffee table -------------------------- You could turn it into a router, if you fancied a bit of tinkering:
  14. Or you could just go right to the source of all bad things ever: VIDEO GAMES
  15. It'll probably be twice the price of a 16GB model, because Apple seems to think that flash NAND is REALLY EXPENSIVE. Seriously, you can buy a 128GB flash drive for £40; Apple way overcharge for a bit more storage. *cough cough*OnePlus One*cough*
  16. The first "proper" PC game I ever played (so not including the crap that came on Win XP or free in my granny's newspaper) was RuneScape, and only because one of my friends was playing it. The games that really got me into PC gaming though were Minecraft and Portal 2 (saw Yogscast Duncan do a video on it, blew my mind).
  17. I was kind of kidding about big batteries, but that graph was quite interesting. Really puts my faith in renewable energy... I do feel like nuclear power is going to be the best option for now - solar just needs to be developed more before it really becomes a viable large-scale option, and wind power isn't exactly great. And compared to fossil fuels, uranium doesn't emit pollutants and it's significantly cheaper ($ per MW).
  18. Whatever iGPU is in the Prescott-256 Celeron D (s478)Whatever iGPU is in the Core 2 Duo P7450 (look the iGPU isn't even listed on ark.intel.com)ATi Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256MB (current - donations are accepted via PayPal )Nvidia GTX 770 2GB (planned for my first build in September, will possibly wait for the 870 depending on the pricing)
  19. So you just get a bunch of underpaid, overworked Asian people to stick Sellotape on pencils all day long (not trying to be racist btw :3) Big batteries m8
  20. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=rpm Like, really dude?
  21. I just can't wait for the videos that come out for these cards. They might be some of the only things that can actually run games at 4K on High/Ultra settings at a decent framerate. Even two R9 295 X2 cards couldn't do that in Paul's Hardware's video.
  22. Oh. Oh dear. Ah bugger it, I'll stop being a cheap-arse and pay the full price for stuff.
