"Apple Patents Curved Touch Screen And Display Tech"
Nallown replied to TopWargamer's topic in Tech News
Dude... for real! wtf are they thinking obviously the only reason to why they're doing this is because they know that someone out there will come up with a awesome idea for the curved screen (there already are some) and then they would sue the hell out of him -
I don't think that natsu would do the same thing

Protein Viewer not showing a molecule
Nallown replied to dlf's topic in Folding@home, Boinc, and Coin Mining
I seem to have the exact same problem with my GPU (HD 7950), it doesn't show the molecules but if you go to the advanced control and choose your CPU from the list then you should be able to see the molecules for the CPU. -
it is possible, just fill it up with helium!!

I just wanted to point out that according to the website and some updates, USB Type-C will be released before mid 2014 so probably and most likely around March/April. this is just a rough guess its not the exact date! -

If you mean backwards compatible so it'll work on a regular USB type-a then yes it will be, they did mention that they'll be providing adapters -

I would love it to work the same but at the same time I wish that it won't, mainly because apple would sue the hell out of USB just to make money and also this would mean that we won't see the type-c connector for a while as they most likely would have to change it into type-c rev2 or something like -

I highly doubt it as USB ports have never been created in the same way Apple's have been, if you look at the past USB and Apple's cables then you can see that they don't really look alike. unless apple is going to be a huge dick face and they're going to find one of their patents which are slightly related to the upcoming type-c cable, then they would most likely sue the hell out of USB -

Even smaller  Can't wait for actual design Hence the similar in size. I'm guessing that it won't be allot smaller, only by width probably to add stability -

well have you ever thought of replacing the hard textured rubber outside casing with a bendable rubber casing? that could do the job, how about we give it a try and see whether it does the job ;p -

No need to make micro USB seem good by decreasing the average times of rotations required to plug it in, it's more like 12 times and I know you agree -

usb.org has released information about the upcoming upgrade to USB 3.1, which I like to call the USB 3.1v2. They are claiming to release a new type of connector, type-C which has better support for device charging and file transfer over a small connector just like the mini/micro USB. The difference between the USB type-c connector and micro/mini USB is that they are focusing on: Since type-c is a new type of connector this means that the new connector will contain a number of cables and adapter to support the existing USB cables Opinion: I believe that this is pretty cool as I have been through around 30 micro USB cables as my phone has the connector positioned on its side and also this means that most companies won't need to worry about inventing their own types of connectors to ensure best UX since the type-c connector will fix most problems with the current micro/mini USB cables.... I hope. ___________________________________________Fake Horizontal Rule because I cant get the HR tag to work__________________________________________ Source: usb.org ________________________________________Another Fake Horizontal Rule because I cant get the HR tag to work______________________________________ Note for you guys at Linus media group organization, thing, company whatever its called (no offense , I love you guys) You guys are able to signup for a review draft and I'd love to see you guys review one and I think everyone else agrees Edit: The Verge also made a post about this Edit 2: BBC has also made a post about this USB-Futures.pdf -
