  1. Sadly I'm from Indonesia, and the msi b350 doesn't have enough usb port for my needs. *I can actually get an external usb hub, but I gotta save more money
  2. Alright I think I have decided to go for Ryzen is this good enough? Mobo: Gigabyte Gaming K5 Cpu: Ryzen 5 1600 Ram: Hyper X Fury White 8GB I choose the gaming k5 because it has the most usb ports for am4 board, and it looks cool. I originally wanted to get the gaming 5 because it's white, but I can try to paint the gaming k5 cover, maybe.
  3. alright this convince me even more to get ryzen. but yea, even if I got a pentium latest gen cpu, it is still an upgrade from my fx6300 just hoping that amd or 3rd party companies making optane competitor. thanks for the suggestion
  4. yeah of course, but upgradeability wise, with intel's highest i7 8700 from what I saw in geekbench beats R7 1800 I dunno about the next gen (Ryzen2, and Cannon Lake {not icelake}) if any of those will be backward compatible with the current gen boards.
  5. Thanks for the suggestion. I had that 2TB firecuda on my next upgrade list on the attached picture. I thought that i can boost it even more with optane. and because ssd are expensive here, so I thought optane is a cheaper option. I'll consider it again.
  6. Hello there, I'm a music producer who also streams game to facebook and twitch, and also do video editing for youtube. My current pc spec is this: CPU: Amd Fx-6300 Mobo: Msi Gaming 970 RAM: 32GB ddr3 (*was, now only 8GB, sold the rest for upgrade later) GPU: Asus GTX-1060 3GB Storage: SSD 240GB, 1TB HDD I wanted to upgrade my mobo, cpu, and ram. I kinda have 2 choice Go for ryzen 5 1600 and get the 6 core or go for coffee lake i3 8100 to cut some budget and hope for z370 board being compatible with ice lake and upgrade again later. Music production will benefits a lot from more cores, but then with intel I can get optane which can speeds up loading hundreds of gigabytes of virtual instruments on my HDD. Here's my current target for upgrade CPU: Intel Core i3-8100 Mobo: Asus PRIME Z370-A Ram: Kingston HyperX Fury White 8GB I choose the CPU because of my budget, the mobo because it looks cool, has a lot of usb ports (which I really need for multiple midi controllers), it has a white color (which is my overall build theme), and because I want to avoid upgrading mobo again (if ice lake can be compatible with z370) and also because of optane, and lastly, the ram, because it's white :p. Should I stick with this build? or should I just switch to ryzen? If I have to switch to ryzen, then what mobo should I get? If possible I want a mobo with lots of usb ports, and white colored (black is fine), also if possible, cheaper than the asus prime z370-a? also is the ram good? are there any other cheaper white ram? my budget is around 500$ ish (after I'm done selling my old mobo & cpu, and wait for my monthly salary too) I also added my next upgrade list after I'm done with the main upgrade. (idunno maybe cooler compatibility?) Please help me decide, thanks.
  7. Hello there, I'm working on a music cover video for my YouTube. The video will look like the picture and it's 7 minutes long. it has 53 video channel on vegas, and it tooks about 8-12 hours to render it. My first render attempt fails, stuck at 17% but the timer still went down for 12 hours, and the file got corrupted. I tried rendering it again but when it reached 15%, vegas crashed. Here are my PC spec: CPU: Amd Vishera FX-6300 RAM: 32GB Cosair Vengeance Black DDR3 GPU: Asus GTX 1060 3GB vram Storage (this is the render destination): WD Blue 1 TB OS Drive: Sandisk Ultra II SSD 128 GB Here's the render settings: Sony avc, 720p, 10mbps. what should I do to be able to render this video? I need help Thanks.
  8. nope, I got vsync off, and in the menu I got 100fps and it keeps dropping
  9. yea I messed the cropping out that is just an example screenshot here you go
  10. So my CPU is AMD FX-6300 It shows there in the task manager that the maximum speed is 3.5GHz but the speed only show 1.33GHz and the CPU only utilize 20-25% of it's power and that's when I'm gaming, and the game is very CPU demanding. and I don't think my GPU is a bottleneck because I got a GTX1060 and I got super low framerate (20-30fps) is this normal? or can I increase the speed? please help, I don't know what to do
  11. my psu is "Enlight Black Silver 650W" it has 80+ on it, but doesn't have the bronze/gold on it.
  12. I want to share this "Interesting" keyboard I got from I think a local company. Digital Alliance Meca Z It's full size & RGB backlit with software to control the lighting & edit some macros It features easy replaceable switch, the default switch is outemu blues. and It's also Fully water proof And it only cost around 68 USD Here are some images of my personal Meca Z I replace the switches with cherry mx various colors (red, brown, green, and black) But I switch the outemu housing with the cherry one, because the led is on the pcb, and the cherry switch interfere with the led. I also put a gateron clear in the tab key. Planning on modding this keyboard more.
  13. I'm running windows 10 home 64 bit I kinda afraid to OC though, do I need better cooler and/or PSU? My cooler is Deepcool Air Cool and I only have 1 fan in my case, and my psu isn't in the "PSU tier list" here in LTT Forum.
  14. Here is my old PC Specs: -CPU: AMD FX-6300 -Mobo: MSI Gaming 970 -Ram: 32GB ddr3 Corsair Vengeance -GPU: AMD R7 250x -Storage+Game+Bootdrive: WD Blue 1 TB I've been having problems with performance in games, when I'm recording/streaming and when I'm just playing casually. So I tried to upgrade. Current PC Specs: -CPU: AMD FX-6300 -Mobo: MSI Gaming 970 -Ram: 32GB ddr3 Corsair Vengeance -GPU: GTX 1060 3GB -Bootdrive+Game: Sandisk Ultra II SSD 240GB -Storage: WD Blue 1 TB I saw tons of benchmark video in YouTube that uses the same exact CPU and GPU as my current PC, it can get battlefield 1 about 70ish fps. and with my current PC, I barely hit 50fps playing Paladins & Overwatch, and I got massive lag spikes every couple of minutes. I don't know what is wrong. I'm planning to upgrade my CPU to Ryzen 5 1600x, so that means a new mobo too. With my current job, I can get those in october. But it's taking a long time, can I improve my current PC performance somehow? Maybe cooling? OC? Ram? Please help me. Thank you.
  15. alrighty then, thanks for the answer. I'll save to upgrade my CPU after I got the 1050ti.
