PUBG is quite poorly optimized at the moment, running everything on ultra is just asking for trouble.

    For the smoothest gameplay, try:
    Screen Mode - Fullscreen
Anti-Aliasing - Very Low or Ultra (Use Reshade for AA if you put it on Very Low, otherwise use Ultra. Anything in between and things get blurry and it makes it hard to see people in the distance)
    Post Processing - Very Low/Low
Shadows - Low (Maybe Very Low, but they look pretty bad)
Textures - Depends on your VRAM, <4GB use Low, 4GB use Medium, >4GB High/Ultra (If you use High/Ultra with 4GB VRAM you may get lag when opening your inventory)
    Effects - Very Low/Low
    Foliage - Very Low
View Distance - Highest you can while keeping decent framerates. Doesn't affect how far people/vehicles will render, just LOD update distance.
    Motion Blur & VSync off

Eztrcfyu reacted to AkiraDaarkst in Camera filters for different sized lenses
OK for screw on filters, I normally recommend getting just solid NDs and Polarizers.  If you have lenses with a wide range of different sizes, then my suggestion is to get multiple filters that cover a range of sizes.  For example, say you have lenses with filter sizes that go from 77, 67, 62, 55, 52.  Get one set to cover the 77-62 size range and one set to cover the 55-52 size range.  You don't need to buy individual filters for each lens, just one or two sizes that cover multiple ranges and use step up rings.

For ND gradient filters, I recommend getting slot in filters.  For slot in filters, just get one size and use a combination of step up rings and different size filter holder adapter rings.

Since filters are made of glass or plastic/resin or even transparent ceramic, they aren't stretchable.  They're not made of rubber.

Eztrcfyu got a reaction from MEC-777 in 1080p 60hz, GTA V: MSAA x4 and NVIDIA TXAA vs just MSAA x8?
I'd use Nvidia Control Panel to set up DSR, run the game at 4k, no AA. Should easily be able to get 60FPS with a 1080Ti at 4k with a few things turned down a tiny bit. Alternatively do a 1.5x or 2x DSR if 4k is too much is too much.

In my experience, running GTA V at 1440p with just FXAA looked better/smoother than 1080p with FXAA + 4xMSAA, and got about the same FPS.

You also sit several meters away from TV's typically, and much closer to monitors.

I've been using a 27" 1080p monitor for the last few years, its pushing it sometimes because the pixel density is quite low. 1440p is the sweet spot for 27", I probably wouldn't go higher than 24" on a 1080p monitor again, unless you got a really good deal on the monitor.

Eztrcfyu got a reaction from ZimFreak in Windowed/Fullscreen/Borderless FPS ?
There shouldn't be a difference between Borderless/Windowed, but some games might get slightly higher FPS on Fullscreen. Another thing to note is Borderless/Windowed, in some games, can have a bit more input lag because of the way Windows handles inputs for windowed applications vs exclusive fullscreen applications. For most games it probably won't even be noticeable, but if you can run the game in fullscreen without issues (alt-tabbing is the most common problem), it may feel a little more responsive.

G-Sync? No idea, I don't have a G-Sync monitor so I didn't experience any change. I believe there was a new config setting added, for the framerate cap, that may have automatically capped you at 60 when you updated.

Add bLockFramerate=0 to the Display section in Skyrim.ini (under Documents/my games/Skyrim Special Edition), that should remove the cap added in the update.

Eztrcfyu got a reaction from Albatross in The Skyrim Special Edition (SSE) Thread
The "144hz support" patch just added a 60fps cap, rather than relying on V-Sync which could cap it higher than 60 if the monitors refresh rate was >60.

You can cap it with Nvidia Inspector/ENB at higher than 60, but anything higher than about 90fps and the engine will not play nice, there will be physics bugs everywhere. Its a limitation of the engine, which ties physics calculations and script execution to framerate.

I've heard rumours that Bethesda are moving to (or want to move to) a new engine for the next Elder Scrolls and Fallout games, although I have no idea if its true. If it is, hopefully there wont be this same limitation.

Bullshit: Sky UI is about the only significant mod that's not already ported to SE.

The mere fact that the game is now a true 64 bit app and can address a lot more memory without hacks and be a CTD prone nightmare makes it better for mods.

Finally SKSE is coming for SE it's just taking longer but devs said they will try and port over. Please go back to the Nexus or Loverslab to spout this nonsense, bye.

For new saves, don't use Wildcat, use Smilodon instead. Its by the same author, and has everything Wildcat does plus some more.

SSE runs smoother and is (at least for me, I have heard people are having crashing issues) more stable. Mods-wise, the original is obviously way ahead as its been out for 5 years
I really like the graphics in SSE, with some texture mods (desperately needed) it looks good. Not crazy like some of the ENBs for the original, you aren't going to get super photo-realistic graphics or anything like that, but its still nice. I've been really enjoying just playing the game, not worrying about the graphics, tweaking ENBs to my liking etc. Definitely some nostalgia going on too!

    That will do nothing.

Its inaccessible because its part of a quest. There is an NPC who gives the quest who will open the terminal for you. If you haven't met Ronnie at the Castle yet, you need to wait for her to show up, or you may not have completed the prerequisites for the quest to start.

Another +1 for PCCG. I've been a customer of theirs for years, always had great service. They are a little more expensive than most, but usually have everything you need in one place.

Never bought a pre-built system from them, but they're well-spec'd and decently priced for what you're getting. I also like that they have a variety of systems available, not just 1 or 2 high-end/midrange/budget builds.

I've found Godrays in SSE to be fine, had no issues with on high them unlike in FO4.

I'm playing with V-sync off and framerate capped at 90, everything on ultra except shadow distance on high, getting anywhere from ~50-90FPS (average around 70) depending on whats going on in-game (usually drops around 50 with lots of enemies or spells on screen, not because of godrays). Running Noble Skyrim (HD textures) and SMIM.

Some things in large games just take a while to load, especially MMOs or other online games. Upgrading your SSD won't help that. I don't play WoW so I haven't tested it, but I don't think its going to fix your problem.

I moved GTA V between my HDD and 950 Pro in the hopes it would load Online faster. Its back on my HDD now, load times were basically unchanged (65GB on my 950 Pro to gain maybe 5 seconds of load time is not worth it!)

Eztrcfyu got a reaction from FPS-Russia in I can't get stable 60FPS in Fallout 3?
First thing you should do is let Geforce Experience optimize Fallout for you. It sounds strange but a lot of people (myself included) were able to get better and much more stable framerates by letting it do its thing first, then you can tweak the settings to what you want.

Get Dynamic Shadows too (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1822/?) if you don't have it already, it dynamically alters shadow render distance to try to keep your FPS at your desired target, and gives a huge boost in dense areas.

EDIT: Oops, I thought the thread was about F04 >_> My bad, although the Gefore Experience thing might still help!

People who use hacks shouldn't be given a slap on the wrist like this. Allowing them to continue to play the game, even if their gameplay/matchmaking is limited, isn't really a good way of dealing with hackers. It might be funny to hear how hackers in Titanfall could only be matched with other hackers, but outright banning their accounts is more likely to prevent them from hacking again.

The micro-transactions they do have in place are far better than any other games I've seen. Everything is just cosmetic, absolutely no purchases required to let you play the game to the fullest and nothing to give any advantages. They don't sell things that affect gameplay or cannot be obtained through gameplay (random drops).

I see no problem with trading cards either. If you don't want to collect them you can sell them and make a few cents back (it adds up!). If you do, you can get some ok rewards too, nothing really significant though.

They offer transactions that you can completely ignore if you want and it doesn't affect your ability or performance in the game at all. I can't think of anyone else doing that right now.
