I found this on Corsair's website - "The rubber fittings at the end of the H80i/H100i tubes are for cosmetic purposes only; it does not affect the pump or tubes whatsoever."

Wouldn't worry about it. Also, IIRC if they leak corsair will pay for the damage.

The barbs on the inside are what keep the tubing on, and they are EXTREMELY tight

You can also get duct tape/gorilla tape in black.

Like the above users said, it's not going to leak because of those rubber bands cracking.

I had exactly the same thing happen to my H60 and it was absoloutely fine, even after it fully cracked. But if your worried get in touch with Corsair, they might RMA it for you.

Basically this Ubisoft dev is saying that it's "too hard" to achieve 60FPS and "you don't gain much" from the higher frame rate. I would recommend reading the whole article, if I put the whole thing here it would be a shameless copy and paste.

Considering Ubisoft couldn't do Pacman at 60FPS on a 5Ghz, dual Titan machine, I'm not surprised.

The reasons vary wildy from each of the countries I've visited. Rather than talk about each country in Europe individually I'll just focus on the USA for now; in the US it has a lot to do with what's considered okay and the way things work. Healthcare isn't provided by the state for example, and there is widespread opposition to the idea that it should be. That just seems totally backward to me. The same goes for the guns thing; if you see a gun in the UK it's kind of a big deal, even if it's on a policeman. You do not see armed police in the UK, like ever. I've seen armed police once in my entire life and that was outside the Houses of Parliament during a rally for an EU referendum I attended. Even when we had widespread riots a couple of years back, the use of guns by police - even ones with plastic or rubber bullets - was considered as a last resort (one which was never taken).
Then there's the whole thing with cable companies; that's not the norm here yet. There are increasing pushes for a more US system for TV and internet but the market seems to be doing a good job of resisting it. So far only Virgin and Sky have managed to get a foothold with that model and even they are forced to offer internet-only packages in order to maintain a decent market share. In the UK the internet is bad because of general lethargy and lack of government subsidy rather than any ill-will by the ISPs involved. Throttling of connections is also a lot less common in the UK; most major ISPs don't do it at all. The only big one that's known to do it a lot is Sky, and there is sufficient competition in the market to ensure that if you're being given a crappy level of service, there's someone else to go with. You basically get dicked about in the UK, but in the US they make u pay for it and provide you with no alternative.
I also don't like the political system. Not only is it a two-party state so any ideas outside of those already accepted gain 0 representation, but it also uses a version of the first past the post system which manages to be even worse than what we have in the UK, because no attempt is made to ensure that every vote is counted equally. Instead, the very opposite is true because states with a lower population are arbitrarily provided with extra votes. At least in the UK it is possible for new parties to replace old ones when their ideas become outdated or irrelevant - just look at Labour or The Lib Dems or UKIP. The oldest party still going is the Conservative Party, since apparently conservative politics are eternally relevant.
There are a few other reasons but those are the big ones that spring to mind. Sorry for the long and incomplete answer, but you did ask

My h100i had the same problem, as soon as you tension the screws from the water block it's going to be secure. It's a design error made by Corsair.

    Hey guys,

I've been seeing CPU keychains on the internet for a while, and decided to make my own with an old first-gen mobile i7 Core 2 Duo (Got confused here). So without further ado,

    THE KeyPU!

It's not really a tutorial, everyone can do this; it just didn't seem to fit in General Discussion.

This is the processor I used, it was from my old 20 inch (!) HP laptop. I believe it's a first gen i7 Core 2 Duo:

It used to be my main machine but now it's time for it to fulfill a more.. cosmetic purpose.

The pins were still on the CPU back then ,and while they look nice, they would have bent in every direction over time and looked terrible, so I decided to remove them.

    Then I regretted it.
Taking out hundreds of tiny pins with pliers takes a very, very long time.

I might put the grinding bit on my dremel tomorrow to smooth out the ones that still stick out a bit. It basically looks like a modern one now.

    Next the hole:

I used a drill bit for metal, but in retrospect I maybe should have used one of the ones for wood, they have a sharper tip which would have prevented me from drifting away from where I wanted the hole.

And here's a shot with the keys in, all done.

So, if you also have an old laptop that won't boot anymore, you too can craft yourself this very fashionable bit of geek memorabilia! Hopefully now it can keep serving me long and well, albeit a little differently than before

Heatseeker96 reacted to MG2R in How to: change the fan of your PSU
This comes from my build log (water cooled bitfenix prodigy), but since it's a guide, I thought I'd post it here too. I made a tutorial video showing how to swap out a PSU fan for a noctua NF-F12 (awesome silence!!)

A little word of warning though: DON'T TRY THIS IF YOU DON'T HAVE A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF ELECTRICITY, SOLDERING AND WORKING ON ELECTRONICS. PSUs are dangerous and potentially harmful. You have been warned.

Now we've upgraded to IPB, I can edit this post again. I made a second video in which I show you how you can bring out the RPM sensing cable to your motherboard, so you can monitor the fan inside your PSU.
