Ok, well, it shows in device manager after I intelligently checked again after posting, and it was there and I was able to initialize and format it. Third reseating and reboot's the charm I guess, please feel free to berate me now

I recently grabbed a new ssd (a 2tb Teamgroup MP33) to put in my second m.2 slot, but it's not showing up in windows anywhere, I rebooted to get to the bios menu and it does show there. Is there something I'm missing or some option in Windows I don't know about to initialize it or could I potentially have too many devices since I have two sata drives for storage and another ssd? I'd go for the MSI board since it has better connectivity.

Last week while gaming, my Cooler Master Masterkeys pro L rgb keyboard completely disconnected from my pc, no input, no rgb, no nothing. I unplugged it and plugged ti back in and it worked.... for less than ten seconds, it did the same thing, I even tried three other micro usb cables and just about every usb port on my pc but still got the same result. I tried an old HP ps2 kb, and that worked, so I gave up and bought a Logitech g512. I don't expect my Cooler Master kb can be saved but figured I'd see if there's hope for it, or if it has indeed died.

Unless I got a deal to good to pass up on a 1440 or greater display, I'll continue to main my HP 24m and old 19" Element tv. Gaming at 1080p 60hz works perfect for me since I don't do any competitive gaming and just want to enjoy myself. 720 on my little secondary is fine, after all, do I really need a higher res to read text on discord or web?

I've been using a 2060 for a little bit now and while I can't say much for most of the games you listed, Minecraft has been running perfectly for me, even started using shaders and it runs like butter at 1080p, I don't know what res your monitor is, so your millage can vary. In terms of pricing though, the rx6600 would probably be a better deal overall unless you find a 2060 or something beefier on sale.

My last pc had two usb2 and two usb3 ports up front, and I used one to power some led blacklights for a while, this pc has two usb3 ports, but aside from popping in a flash drive to install windows, they've gone unused thus far. I do have a usbC on the back of my motherboard and I've got a header for a front type c, but that will probably never actually get used any time soon if ever. My front audio gets far more usage.

A Ryzen 5 5600X would be a good place to start, considering your budget you could probably go for a beefier cpu. You'd still want a decent gpu, while it's not a heavily graphically demanding game, a card on the same level as a 1050 won't allow for maxed out settings without having to take an fps hit, and BeamNG gets very unplayable once you are in sub 20fps territory due to input lag. Something speced out similar to my system can handle the game quite well with most of my setting maxed out except for dynamic reflections ( I find there's only so far that's really worth pushing) and a decent amount of ai traffic and parked cars on screen with simplified physics.

You ought to be able to go ahead and install your os at this point, I didn't even check if my ssd showed up in bios and just went full send for my windows 10 install The boot LED is just indicating that the pc can't boot an os, which is fine if you've yet to install one.

I know and intend to get a dp to hdmi adapter when I can, I just can't get those things quickly, and want a temporary solution to have both displays.

Ok, cool, the 1030 is just going to run a 720p display for discord and browser tabs. I just wanted to be sure it won't gimp my 2060 for gaming and streaming and whatnot.

I should add, I'm not using sli, I've heard that's too much pain, I just want to know if they will work independently from each other, or will they bridge in some way despite not trying to do sli. Sorry, early morning brain right now.

Will I encounter any issues using two gpus at the same time? I have my better card in my 16x slot and a low end card in my 8x full size slot so I can have a second hdmi connection. Will the weaker card hold back my stronger one? The gpu's. Nah, it should just plunk down when you get it on there, if you have to push against it then there's a tolerance issue. But as I said, it looks fine, the cables don't look kinked or anything.

Looks fine from what I see. I'd say it's not a problem unless you have to use force to get the side panel to close, which doesn't seem to be the case.

The final piece of the puzzle, once I pop this bad boy in, I'll be able to call this build completed.

Not without having to unbury it and finding a drive to use in it.

So I have another gpu I could use and an rtx 2060 arriving later today, but I've been some weird issues that I can only deduce are from the gpu, I have two displays hooked up to hdmi, but the problem I'm having is my second display keeps dropping out for a few seconds and coming back with an audio device change alert, most of the time when the signal to monitor 2 drops out, but sometime both displays go out for about 15 seconds and the pc reboots. The card didn't seem to have issues prior to this and I have made no system changes in the past two weeks, this started a few days ago. As I said, I have one gpu I can use as a back up (a gt 1030) and I have rtx 2060 I'll be installing today, so if the card is going out, oh well, but I'd like to get some other opinions before I relegate this thing to the e-waste bin. Edit: Card in question is a Gigabyte GTX 1050 Gaming 2gb. I got it practically new from a friend since he needed a gpu that didn't need a 6pin power connector, so I traded them another Gigabyte 1050 that ran off board power, it worked fine in my previous system for the month or so I had it before putting it in this pc in the start of september.

So as an update to this, wound up snagging an EVGA RTX 2060 12GB XC Gaming, I know that's not stunningly new, but considering I'm trying to move up from a 1050, even a 1050ti would be an upgrade that I don't want and it ought to be here in a few days. My main goal was to pick up something with more than enough vram so I don't have to worry about it for a few years while having enough horsepower to easily do 1080p gaming. I feel I've made the right choice.

Something that came with my ibuypower chassis, I can give the thing better marks for at least being painted, I can't remember the name of it though. Where it's sitting, I'd have to take the pc half apart to get a look at it again, I know it ran a 3600 and a 5700xt for a while before that system failed due to other reasons, though not sure how good of a metric that is. Pretty sure I recall seeing an 80+ of silver on the side of it though.

So I've been looking at a few non-ti 3060's, I'm seeing the recommendation for psu wattage around 650, can I get away with flat 600 since I don't have plans to overclock it and don't want to get a new psu right now? I've considered the rx6600 and 6700, but I've seen a lot of complaints about drivers for team red. I've seen two different memory options for the 3060 as well, 8gb 256bit and 12gb 192bit, is there any real advantage to one or the other because my brain tells me big number = better.

I imagine a decent one probably has a fuse or some way of not allowing that. Cheap ones will probably make a nice bang however

I did try Linux on my older systems in the past, including that pc, but I always had weird issues that always made me rage quit back to Windows, such as steam just ceasing to function in Ubuntu, I don't know if that's changed since 14.04, but I did feel burned by that.
