Archnemesis's Achievements

  1. It can't be though, it happens on an SSD and so far changing my download region fixes it every time.
  2. I get the exact opposite, where Steam gets stuck at 14kb/s, which is annoying 'cause I have 100mbit fiber.
  3. Something you'd want to consider is a layer 2 switch that supports QOS, that way the VOIP traffic takes precedence over the camera traffic. If you got one with POE you could power your cameras off it too.
  4. Hey mate, What motherboard are you using and is it a server, or workstation?
  5. Laptops as servers work great, since they are relatively low power, already have a battery backup and when you shut the lid and flip them upside down, their thermals are often pretty good too. Laptops as servers gets you sucked into the home server scene.
  6. I would probably give it a miss. You can pick up LGA 1366 server gear for very little these days, they offer a substantial increase in not just performance, but power consumption and noise levels.
  7. No I don't have one, it was more a sarcastic thing.
