I've never had much luck with Powerline networking. It's better than nothing, but, wireless usually fares much better.

As I recall using a Powerline adapter on an extension cord or power strip really tanks performance.  Might be something go keep in mind...

    Good luck!

Wow! You go Linus! No offense intended, but, I believe that  is the most 'manly' picture of you I have ever seen! You look twenty years older! I guess working hard enough to be  successful takes it's toll.

Seriously, I have watched you since the NCIX days and have seen some of the hard work you have put into becoming the success that LTT has become. You work hard and are good to your people. You are a good guy Linus and you deserve what you have. Keep up the good work!

Best to use a Windows-based tool for that instead of gparted, like MiniTool partition wizard.

I agree with the RAID 0 recommendation. I've been running RAID 0 for years on an older 2600k system for years with no problems. Getting 1GB per second on old SATA3 drives is not bad considering! Agreed it isn't NVME but it saves me from having to upgrade!

If you really were paranoid you'd never have used a water loop to begin with. I'm too paranoid to use water cooling for these very situations, cause it's not like the water cooling company would buy me a new PC if something went wrong.

Macrium 'Reflect' - free version provides full volume imaging and differential backups.

It provides automatic scheduling as well.

This software has saved me on multiple occasions for restoring failed drives to new ones (bare metal restore).

middleclasspoor reacted to Ganz in do you keep you PC run 24/7 or you turn it off when not using it ?
My computer is in a small room(same room that I sleep in).  With that I turn my computer off at night.  One due to noise (lots of fans), two due to the lights, and 3 it significantly heats up the room which I hate.  So off at night, turns on when I use it for the first time that day.
