Have not been home to test it yet, However after a little research I do not believe it is DSR because the resolutions in the game setting menus has remains 1080p aswell as me still getting bad performance in furmark, I could be wrong, and will def look when I am home. But would you see the resolution option in the game menus if DSR was turned on?
-
Also, is DSR per game, or and overall setting
-
I'm pretty sure yah, it was on all low settings, as far as other games I can try ds3 later swell as dota and take a look
-
Also does it sometimes come enabled out of the box? Because i have reinstalled drivers and windows
-
Alright so you can't** just switch it off you just have to adjust the resolution? Also I am experiencing this issue in all games so not sure if that makes a difference.
-
HOLY COW that would make so much sense. I will check that IMMEDIATELY, is that in the nvidia settings??
-
If something was overultilizing wouldn't it show at idle to?
-
I am not, but would an OC cause lower fps?
-
What about gpu?
-
I wanted to add to this that when not in game the gpu is around 0% and is very cool.
-
Any ideas of what it could be.

Ok I will do that tonight and report back, Thank you very much!

The room its in gets decently warm yah, Is 1860 in game and ok speed? for a 1080 fe? It wasn't getting this hot before, max I saw it at was like 60-65. I will try all of these things when I get home tonight and report back! AND WEW its nice to hear someone doesn't thinks its shot, I was scared haha, I would think that if a card was bad I would see more issue than just performance?
-
Ok will try this when I get home and report back. The temps were not this high before this started, they would sit around 60 C max in games. and only slightly above that at load.
-
Ok will do this when I get home and report back. I unistalled and reinstalled windows fresh, and that didn't seems to do anything either /:

My apologies, It was a late night full of depressed troubleshooting lol. IT's not just OW, any game including furmark, I unistalled all the drivers with windows uninstall but not DDU does it make a difference?

Hello, I recently built a new pc a week or two ago, Everything was smooth sailing when I fired it up. I could play OW at low settings and easily get 300+ fps, with a fps limit of 180 I could hit 180 easy only using 40-60 percent GPU usage and 15-20 cpu usage. So this past weekend, Finally got around to installing FF14, got it fired up, played great! Was hitting well into 300 fps at lower settings, and everything was solid. Went out to lunch on Sunday, Left my pc running while I was gone. Fired FF back up and was getting very low framerates, and now my gpu usage is at 100% and my thermals go 80+. so I restarted, opened the game back up, same issue. So starting to get concerned I opened OW again, A game I knew I was getting high fps in, and now I only get 120 fps on low settings, and much less on high. So I unistalled and reinstalled the nvidia drivers, that didn't work. Reset the driver settings, That didn't work. So I reinstalled windows and wiped my drives, That didn't do anything. opened FurMark still got only 120-125 fps. Checked my clock speed in game, its at 1860. Again my GPU usage goes to 100%, the gpu temp goes 80+, cpu usage and temp stays normal (20-30 percent in game). I opened up my PC and made sure the card was seated properly, it was. I'm not sure what to do... I'm a tad worried because I bought the GPU off of craigslist off a miner, But it was a spare gpu of his, the plastic and tape was still on the box, and we unboxed it and tested it at his place and it worked fine, plus it worked for for 2 weeks. Could really use some help, I built this system in a node 202 from fractal, so the GPU is seated on a riser. I will try to put the gpu straight on the pci slot tonight and see if I get any luck, but has anybody heard of this or know what the issue could possibly be? Also can a card just go from working fine to shot just like that? System Specs: i7 8700k GTX 1080 FE 16 gb of crucial ram Corsair SF600 600w PSU ASROCK z370 Gaming-ITX/AC 1x 250 gb intell m.2 nvme ssd 1x 1tb 5200 rpm laptop hard drive node 202 fractal case.

to add, the temperatures go up along with the maxed out GPU usage.
-
I just don't understand how a gpu can go from working fine one moment to broken the next? If it where damage for thermals I would see more than just bad performance would I not?
-
Yah 3d Mark said its performing lesser
-
ok doing that now
-
1860 to be exact
-
ok in game i get up to around 1800
