  1. HTTPS://aiming.pro/app/#/trainer Should have a calculator there for switching DPI in individual games - and it will tell you a sensitivity to use to have same Feel / Distance that your already used to using but with higher DPI or what ever you want.
  2. I bought a fifine boom mic with arm and pop filter off amazon for around 100CAD Everyone says it sounds perfect much better than it needs to be for streaming and gaming anyways.
  3. this is true , the Zen1 and even the 2xxx series were picky with memory but this was a known thing and their were plenty of Memory with AMD stamped testing on them to chose from. I put that kind of issue in the P.e.B.C.a.K
  4. AMD GPU's for the most part the drivers aren't really a issue anymore , Nvidia often introduces new features sooner however. Most problems crop up from overclocking on both AMD AND NVIDIA atm. And for the most part tweaking/OCing in general CPU and GPU has become more problematic than it's often worth for the minimum gains and you run into plenty of stability issues now a days when doing so on both manufactures. That said cpu's and gpu's now are typically turboing (self oc'ing) quite well out of box leaving users with hardly any gains that can be made anyways. Intel CPU's are still basically similar platform as they were on skylake with some improvements. If anything id say AMD has made the most improvements on CPU's in the last few generations i haven't seen to many issues with anything we have sold in the 2xxx 3xxx or 5xxx series CPU's.
  5. the above post has some good points. if your streaming into a pc with media capture your not tying up resources for that task. you can also be recording all your footage to a local storage and if you like a clean gaming rig perhaps you dont want a bunch of standard drives lining it . It allows also for higher grade encoding without taxing your setup.
  6. When your trying to see enemy's who might not be easily noticeable i find most of those blur of bloom effects cause me to be basically blind while moving around. I will literally look right past enemy's when its on and seems like as soon as i disable them i start noticing everything properly.
  7. In early 2000's Some Intel and AMD cpu's were on cards that slotted in like PCI-E slots... it didn't work that well and it was hard to put a heatsink on it. I know lots AMD's that died in the slot era from heat.
  8. agreed at this point i wouldn't water block a 1080 unless you find one used for 50$ . its EOL and its going to be replaced in l Likely 1-2 years. spending more $ on a EOL GPU to make it 5-10% faster is not very smart.
  9. air circulation or AC is the only real solution.
  10. Take the motherboard out of the case and run everything on a box and see if it turns on. Re seat your memory - & video card . you said someone had other PSU try everything with a KNOWN WORKING PSU. Outside of case just Board + Mem + GPU (cpu obviously) and check for video and post. if fans spin up - and no post try different video card if someone will loan for testing If your components really are 2 years old most should have warranty
  11. almost forgot about my robot vac - its not a roomba its a lesser brand , when i bought it i just thought they would all be smart . i bought a Deebot ecovacs one and it is the worst . sometimes and i mean not often it makes it back to the charging station. It doesn't know where the station is however so what it does is .. when bat gets low it stops vacuum and then drives around until its IR sensor finds the charge station and then that's how it lines up. However most or many times it doesn't find it so it just runs out of battery power somewhere like a hall or bathroom. That's if it didn't get stuck on something in some almost impossible way or close a bathroom door on itself somehow. I regret not getting a better one that maps the rooms etc.
  12. Celeron 667 - I bought it to overclock but never did really get it working correctly before replacing it. OCZ DDR1 kit - waste of $ OCZ 2000mhz "SLI" 4gb mem kit which was made for a 790I chipset but the 790I chipset/FSB couldn't run memory speeds that high without crashing. ADATA -Msata Drives at work we had basically 100% fail rates even the RMA's failed within a year on all builds. ADATA SATA Drives in my own use - 3 dead - 1 RMA that sometimes required a reboot to recognize again after falling over. (never buying adata again no matter what anyone tells me or what improvements they make". Lots of Razer stuff they just break sometimes non moving parts such as sensors or the switches just failed. had a Black Widow ultimate that just started not working or holding keys down that i didn't even press. probably lots of other things i've forgotten ive purchased many 1st type products over the years lol.
  13. The worst is when your partner knows what you are when your still courting and then tries to somehow change it later after your basically committed or married. I'm a tech have been doing IT for 15 years as a profession, and i mess with all kinds of tech not just pc's and i game as well sometimes this is how things are I have a few other hobbies but at my core I enjoy playing with new pc's gadgets and games. Don't try to make me quit playing games or using computers the second were official it's nonsense and just makes everyone misserable. I dodged a bullet on marriage but a few of my good friends didn't. One has a wife that essentially implodes their life if he wants to try and play a pc game.. somehow xbox is ok tho. like what is he supposed to do .. search for hobbies that she approves ? force himself to become a car guy ? or something else he only semi has interests in essentially suppressing doing something that brings joy to your life is crazy. It does blow my mind how some people think they can just impose their ideas onto others and this goes for everyone really , sometimes people just need to accept they dont have those hobbies in common. I'm sure this goes both ways as well obviously. for instance my dad nagging at my mom about her using her iphone , its like we get it you dont think its fun .. move on. This all said it's not a excuse to ignore your GF or wife (BF -husband) and go play games etc all night and day this is a thing some people forget! if your significant other explodes on you from being essentially ignored for weeks that's on you not your hobby. . PS** above the posts regarding woman in tech - i have only worked with 1 woman in the last 15 years who was btw amazing at her job. we dont discriminate hiring woman shes just the only one that's ever applied for a position other than secretary etc (clerical). It is definitely a stigma of some kind i feel , definitely feels boys club like at times its something thats rooted but seems to be changing finally.
  14. this is good advice. if air cooling works you know the pump or loop is not working properly. if it doesn't then maybe a gap between heat spreader and dye is occurring.
  15. No you wont get 340fps on 1080p ultra im not sure where you read this. Your cpu is a 9400f with 9 mb cache max 4.1 boost (likely 1 core) its not bad but most benchmarks are going to be done on a 8700k or 9700/9900k since the 2070 release date likely at 4.8-5.0ghz with 16mb of cache. There is a high likelihood they will also be using 3400-3600mhz memory on test rig for reviews. All those things add up a bit the fact your getting 150-200FPS is fairly good i think. Those reviews are getting 235 AVERAGE fps with same card but better cpu and memory, your getting about 175-180 probably average with speeds you said. on top of these things your comparing a mini to likely founders edition or something reviews Founders edition 2070 - ( 1410mhz - 1710mhz boost - 1770mhz mem) vs zotac 2070 mini - (1620mhz boost clock - 14000 MHz Memory). These differences add up and apples to apples becomes apples to oranges. however your getting above 144fps steady if i was you id just cap it there and play.
  16. pump stuck? something seems wrong . a waterblock will do that if flow stops
  17. A windowed case without lighting comes off lackluster imho . I ran my X9 TT case without any lighting for a week or 2 but it was disappointing I never thought i would care but it did start to disapoint for some reason its like if its there make it look good type thing. So i bought a RGB strip and that was ok but i was needing more fans for my radiators already why not get RGB fans then.. RGB doesn't mean you have to do rainbow either . ive changed mine lots and settled on a dark blue scheme i got sick of the rainbow seizure inducing mode after a few hours. But now i can do whatever theme i like so i dont think RGB is a waste at all so dont feel cliche lol its ok to want more.
  18. Exactly , the only reason to care about power usage is because in the summer it makes your room hot. I mean as far as savings goes that is. For people like me who come home and run their pc for say 5 hours and go to bed it makes very little difference if any,
  19. amazon may charge that but they would never pay you that to do it for them. keep that in mind
  20. i agree Like i said i used logitech for years and never seen such weird issues when they made the logitech Gaming software when they basically made their G series software. Everything worked even old 105's G15's g400's etc it all just worked old and new. I was kind of surprised when i plugged in the MX518 legend and it was not supported. I had been messing with a Corsair Scimitar and a Mionix NAOS 7000 for the last couple years because my last G400S started to double click. then i saw these and was like.. perfect since i still used 1x G400 on my work pc and a MX510 on my laptop. And then of course i found the above. Here is the thing. the MX518 legend you can program it and forget it similar to the NAOS 7000 in that respect its great but the issue i have is the incompatibility in the software. If i want to use the older logitech software to control my G710+ then it turns my G hub into a useless software that can't see the MX518 legend so if i want to change anything on it i have to uninstall everything and start from scratch its ridiculous considering logitech is a giant in the industry. .
  21. I'll repost there never been a big fan of reddit tbh.
  22. I have been a Logitech user for years and i've also used razer - corsair - mionix - etc etc also over the years. But i've always held logitech to a certain standard as one of the original high end peripheral companies. I have a slew of Logitech keyboards (most in a box and some on 2ndary machines) currently running a 710+ which is like new and works perfectly as a piece of hardware. And when the MX518 Legend came out i bought 2, 1 for now one for later incase they end of life it like they did the g400. I have owned and still own quite a few logitech mice as well. Usually no issues all the way back to the mx510. But on this situation i've ran into a paradox in logitech's inability to unify their software. You see The MX518 does not seem to be able to be recognized in their traditional Logitech Gaming Software , i searched a bit and recommendation is use the new logitech G HUB software. And Yes the MX518 does show up in this you can make changes etc. But the G710+ doesnt work with G hub and the G hub surprisingly isn't compatible with Logitech Gaming Software it asks you to remove it on install so you cant run both. And if you install Logitech Gaming Software after the G hub software It (G HUB) stops seeing your mx518 mouse.. funny right? What's the deal is this just what we get when a company feels the need to reinvent itself every single year because of competition ? they forget to support even their higher end product's does a company this big just loose track of their product lineup? The entire reason we buy mechanical keyboards is so they last that's at least a major point anyways. and any of these keyboards that require software to setup even back to my old G15 keyboard that's sitting in the closet should have legacy support regardless going forward. I'll admit the G710+ released in 2013 but other than needing RGB what reason would there be to just replace a working mechanical keyboard? like i said above the whole point is for them to last longer than membrane keyboards. And even in 2013 these keyboards were not exactly cheap things. I hope this can be fixed sooner or later i just thought id rant a bit on here , hopefully someone influential can pass along the message since the logitech forums look like a ghost town.
