  1. Did it get removed from YouTube, or is something weird going on? I'm not seeing it as available now.
  2. Secured for movement? The keyboard and mouse pad have rubber backing/feet on the bottom of them. Paired with sitting on an upholstered fabric, they aren't going anywhere. The thing that will go somewhere is the mouse. Neither addresses that issue... haha. I suppose I could've inset a magnet to the side of the mouse pad for storage, but it's probably not worth the trouble. My microphone can also tip if you are clumsy. haha A question about yours though.. why the leg pillow on the underside? Does it not rest high enough to be off your legs? I would think that would make things quite wobbly.. but idk. Anywho, nice to see this problem get some attention. Maybe companies will be more interested in providing a good product in the future. Thanks for covering the HTPC users needs!
  3. Not to hijack (actually, that is exactly what I intend to do :P). If only because.. this could be a bit more.. elegant looking. haha Follow Linus' steps loosely, and aim for making it look more like this. http://imgur.com/a/zTsV9 I'm pretty sure I even used the same USB 3 hub Linus did.
  4. Just on the off chance anyone searches and finds this old thread. Here is what I did. http://imgur.com/a/zTsV9
  5. Ya, I started this last night and am mostly finished with the prototyping. I built a foam cutter with nichrome wire, assorted hardware, and pvc.. I cut up an old memory foam mattress we had laying around (which is a really nice 8 or so inches thick). Threw those in some pillowcases (these are the armrests), and am going to cut a 1ft x 3ft length of plywood and upholster it for the table surface. For using crap I had around, I think this is a much better solution. I'll update with pics and a guide once I actually finish up and decide on what fabric to use, where to mount the usb hub.. etc..
  6. I'm just going to build my own. Memory foam, square armrests and an upholstered board with a usb hub hidden into it shouldn't be too hard at all. $200+ for these options is silly.
  7. Researching that currently.. While I think I'd like the full numpad.. this may be the best thing available. Though, I'm having problems finding where to actually buy one. Their website says, "Currently, we can only deliver to addresses in Germany and Austria."
  8. Anyone have any advice for a couch Keyboard/Mouse setup for gaming? Anything like the Razer Turret, but perhaps better? (The mouse area seems awful small). Thanks,
  9. Ya, idk if you count it as budget.. but I'll vouch for the Noctua u14s keeping the 5820k quite cool. It's what I have and use daily. Ambient of 23c with the cpu @~1.3v and 4.5 GHz it runs under 60c no matter what I'm doing to it.
  10. Somehow, I get about 70-80wpm with my crappy logitech k400r.. I really need a better wireless option. ha My keys are starting to stick/wear out.
  11. I use the XboxOneS. Plays 4k blurays, and has worked well so far.
  12. Hello fellows. I'm pretty new here, forgive me if this is posted in the wrong forum. Starting off with basic info. -USA located -<$200 budget for both? (lenient dependent on value) -HTPC couch gaming. PC Specs: i7 5820k/Strix1080 I currently use an Xbox One controller, which is great for most things I play, but I really do need a proper mouse/keyboard if I want to keep up playing FPS and such. (..and I'd enjoy getting away from my current Logitech k400r'd touchpad). I've seen the Razer Turret, but the mouse area looks a bit small... but something similar to that may be cool. I'd also like to venture in to mechanical keyboards.. but I didn't see many options that were wireless. Any advice, or tips you can give me?
