  1. I recently bought the new G5 from dell. Gaming performance is sweet but I ran into 2 issues and was wondering if the LTT community could help me Both are mildly annoying. First is that the screen starts to have lines run across it. Once in a while if I'm looking at a static screen with mainly text on the screen, I start seeing lines forming across my screen. This phenomenon intensifies when I run on battery. Ive had my screen start to have this happen and if I sometimes it just breaks. It freezes and this happens. The second problem is audio reverb. I was playing a game with some friend when suddenly I heard them enter a huge room and their voices started to echo a lot more than normal. I asked if they had moved and they hadn't changed anything. I thought nothing of it until I started listening to youtube videos with people talking. I thought the youtube I was watching changed his mic. but they didn't. I checked Nahimic and the Realtek audio drivers to see if for some reason I had anything applied but there was nothing. Something is adding some reverb to my audio output but I cant seem to find out what it is. It makes voice chats very difficult because of the echo and youtube videos sound really really weird. Was wondering if anyone's able to help me out with it =D
  2. So I've had my Dell XPS 13 for a while now (I bought it refurbished to save some cash) I've recently tried to use my Bluetooth earbuds with my laptop, but after it pairs with my earbuds they immediately disconnect and save the earbuds as a "paired" device, instead of saying "Connected" I think it has something to do with the Dell audio program that manages all the audio from my system but I don't know how to add a Bluetooth headset to Dell's proprietary program. I also had to reinstall all my Bluetooth drivers and wifi drivers a while ago so they should be able to pair. because my keyboard and mouse both pair to the computer fine. has anyone else had this problem? and how should I solve this. Thanks all!
  3. Hey all. So my friend started to experience a really loud fan noise comming from her computer. Im somewhat tech savvy and I helped her check out what was going on. So I thought there would have been something wrong with the cpu temp measurements, the fan being broken or a background process taking up the cpu but when I went into the Bios it shows that the computer is purposefully setting the fan to run at 7850 RPM constantly, and the CPU is at a cool 37 degrees Celcius. I checked processes and background programs and theres nothing alarming or anything taking up processing power. I was wondering if there's any way of changing the fan speed curve in the UX330 BIOS or in windows? or is there an update that fixes this.
  4. So im planning a build and I was wondering Is it possible to upgrade the EK A240G water cooling kit to hardline? because Id prefer to have hardline tubing and I'm not too experienced with Custom Watercooling so Just wondering if anyone has tried or knows if its possible!! cause my one worry is that most compression fittings I've found are copper and the A240G is all aluminum and Galvanic Corrosion is terrible.
  5. So i bought my xps 9350 a while ago thinking that I didnt need any 2 in 1 functionality but as of recently i realized having a stylus with my laptop would be amazing (yes I have a touch screen) I hate the rubber tipped gigantic stylus' and i was wondering if there was good stylus (similar to the surface pen) that would go well with a touch screen laptop??
  6. So I was wondering if anyone knows of a keyboard that has a similar feel to the dell xps line of laptops I really like the feel of the keys but the feeling of my older chiclet style keyboard doesnt have the same feel. I was just wondering if anyone has a nice simple backlit keyboard that feels like the dell xps keyboards =D thanks friends
  7. Damn Thanks guys Where Can I find all this info abotu 802.11 wifi stuff
  8. sHey LTT Forums So I have a friend who wanted some laptop recommendations and as I was searching through some laptops she told me that her laptop needs to have either 5GHz or "dualband" Wireless radio technology (due to University stuff). I was wondering how the heck I can check for it. The Website says Wifi is 802.11 AC then it has 10/100/1000 Base T. How do I check and thanks P.S. The laptop I was looking at for her was the Asus UX430
  9. a small search on the youtubes resulted in a lot of people saying that its useless and can even break your computer sooo Id rather not
  10. So I had to download a program from Sourceforge (bad idea already). The reason was that my teacher needed us to install fritzing on our computers to work on a project. When I downloaded the installer I realized I messed up by even downloading anything from that site. Soon after I found out our school computers had the program I needed I just used that. However, ever I downloaded the installer (I didnt run it either it was a .JAR file) Ive been getting popups. Ranging from advertising to an unknown window that flashes every hour on my screen to my screen flashing black randomly. My computer is a Dell XPS 13 9350 that was supposed to be new but was actually refurbished. So What program should I use to rid myself of this anomaly. Thanks =/
