Thanks for the quick answer I did restart my computer just after posting this thread and I made sure in the bios that everything was correct and it was.

Perhaps you are right, but I am still interested to know what is causing this since I can't find anything about it online. also if I've overclocked it stabley why wouldn't it stay there?

An update! I did a cinebench run and according to it, the cpu runs at 3.9 gigahertz though when I was looking at the task manager it went up to 3.87 at max. It seems like there is some kind of power saving though I have turned everything off and set to high performance!

Hi, I just noticed that my Cpu is variating in core clocks even though I've manually overclocked my Ryzen 7 1700 to 3.9 gigahertz successfully! If you look at the picture below you can see my coreclock sitting at 3.62 gigahertz! What is causing this? Thank you for any help provided! Specs: Ryzen 7 1700 Asus x370-prime mobo 500-watt psu from corsair Gtx 1070 armored OC from Msi 16 gigabytes of ddr4 clocked at 2993

Anyone can be affected but since there are so many people and this is a high-level bug/exploit that it will be used against a person like you. Most likely there the ones that are gonna get hacked are the big juicy targets like Amazon.

When I try to record with shadowplay I get a message that sais I need to activate "desktop capture" but there is no such setting please help me!
