    and not just one game , I personally i'm a fighting game enthusiast, so a ps3/ps4 means i have the ability to buy any fighting game i wish, pc your pretty much stuck with ultra street fighter IV and theres never any guarantees unlike a PlayStation.

    having experienced both systems just go for the xbox one if thats his preference, while the ps4 does have a little exstra in the gpu tank , its not a night and day difference.

    the crash only happened in north america , in japan and europe most people played on computers and not games consoles.

    Windows 7 support ends January 14, 2020 , and windows 8.1 support ends January 10, 2023 , i wouldn't worry about waiting.

    so is direct X 12 going to be like what happened with DX 10? , becuse theres no chance in hell any games developer is going to make a game thats unsupported by windows 7/

    I feel like we're past the point were processing power is holding video games back from a design point of view , i can remember when wrestling games couldn't handle more than 4 characters playable at once, or fighting game sprites being scaled back compared to the arcades with fewer animation frames , or racing games being limited to so many cars on the track. crysis 3 on pc vs crysis 3 on xbox 360 , the visuals are amazing on pc , but its still the same game. when it comes to consoles its not all about cost to performance either , the biggest draw back with computers is the interface , the pc for proper gaming requires you to run windows , which is way more powerful than you need for a system that sits under your tv in the living room, then you have the problem with some games requiring a keyboard and mouse as there inputs.

    back in the day when pc ment you could enjoy games like doom , duke nukem , and later quake and unreal tournament , that was a hugh deal , these days its just some better grafics , the gameplays still the same. only when a console is holding back game design is when it becomes a real problem , crysis 3 at 4K at ultra or 720P on medium is still the same game.

    considering the most played pc games are world of warcraft , league of legends and the sims 3 , this entire thread is hilarious. according to steam itsself , most people are playing on laptops much worse than an xbox one.

    i have a pretty nice pc hooked up to a 1440p monitor and i prefer to keep my pc for work , and i game on a xbox one and an xbox 360 , a consoles interface is just so much better for inviting friends and i couldint care less about fps or resolution , the truth is consoles are powerfull enough were you get the same game exsperance , this isint the 90's were baulders gate ment on pc you got an amazing game that would never have even worked on the dreamcast.

    the benefits of overclocking a cpu are vastly overstated by most people as far as video games go.

    I use a 660 TI to power s 1440P monitor , all people here can tell you is what those cards get on current games.

    its way easyer to port a game to xbox 360 than it is ps3 , so it kind of makes sence if it will save them money just to bring it out on pc ps4 xbox one and 360

    This is effectively what killed sega as a console competitor , the moment games require this new addon , you've utterly killed support for systems without it, its even how the Sony playstation came to be , orginally sony were making a disc based drive addon for the super nintendo , but nintendo decided against it seeing how terrible other addons were doing in the market.

    The reson sony used the cell processer is because they were banking on developers being reluctant to port games to the 360 because of the different architecture (sony did this with the ps2)

    every new builder asks about this , the retention arm requires quite a bit of force to pull down and under , you'd be surprised how much of a beating hardware can take. besides its only a 4770k, imagine what its like doing this with a $2,000 xeon 12 core chip

    because the business world uses microsoft office , what's the point in teaching students how to use open office if when they go to get a job they are required to use MS office.
