2. As a type of governance every country can be: a Monarchy or a Republic, and that is by looking at the head of the state, so to conclude the US is as Republic since the country leader is not a king, emperor, sultan, etc...
 
3. The other way you can look at it is: Unitary country and a Composed country, US is a composed country since it is a federal union of 50 states.
 
4. And finally we come to the Political regime, and here we have : Democracies and Autocracies ( Oligarchy is a sub-category ) . US is a Democracy, and here is why: The head of your country is chosen by the people by votes, using indirect democracy.
 
This is the simple version of a huge topic, that is not really made to be discussed on a tech forum, Every country today can be a part of multiple categories, but every country has a primary group it fits in.
The reason the US is not a real oligarchy is because every adult citizen is allowed to vote, and you can vote for every adult that runs for a position of president.
 
This is fact, and it has nothing to do with political views, it is that simple, what you are mixing is a countries classification with the politics that people in charge are using.
 
The US is a Democracy bit it has other attributes, and the rule of a few powerful is also one of them.

A constitutional republic can be democratic if you have the right to vote (and the vote is taking an actual effect)

It will work, don't worry, turn of aa, just leave af, it will work, but be reasonable at 4k, modern games don't work well on a gtx 980 with that resolution
I use dual monitors, it kind of works, but not very good, it messes up the scaling even if you adjust it not to do so, you can make games to brake monitor sync but it will not help really, and it works better if you put it at 2.5k, but then it stretches out the 2nd monitor

Palit is more Asia oriented, they is a sister company to Gainward, they make good products, so i would not call them lower than Zotac, since Zotac is not a bad company to begin with.
 
You have to understand that not all GPU makers are OEM-s and a the same share factories, the design is different but the product is essentially the same.
As for quality, Asus, MSI and Gigabyte were leaders 5 years ago, today, it is very hard to go wrong with almost any brand of GPU today, they all give 2 or 3 years warranty so you are covered there.
 
I myself have a Gainward Phantom card for 2 years, and the only problem i ever had is a driver crash ( so no hardware issues ), it is quiet, factory overclocked, and never lets me down, and the best part is it is cheaper than "the great three" alternatives, and out of the box it is the same speed or faster ( until you overclock ofc. since silicon lottery ), and yes, i will probably buy another gainward product in the near future.
 
Don't dismiss other brands so easily, you might find gold... ( and as for AMD just check Club 3d cards, they are freaking awesome )

This is odd... i remember that on my old sandy bridge i3 i could play crysis at 720p and get 30 fps max, going 600p it started running much better, on occasion even 45 fps, but the input lag was a LOT better.
And now 3 years after this they make a next gen consoles that can't run a racing game at 60 fps. Now i call that bullshit!!
 
Here is why, crysis 3 ran on the PS3 and Xbox 360 at 720 ( upscaled ) the real resolution was 480p, IT RAN AT FKING 30 FPS, 30!! so that means that the same games on those settings should rune faster on the newer hardware. Crisis 3 performance requirements are far above racing games on consoles. 
Both of the "new" consoles have GPU power in between an HD 7700 and 7850 ( 7850 is equivalent to a 6950, that was a high end card ), now all of those cards could play crysis 3 at 20-25 FPS average on maxed out settings with no AA, on medium rendering quality and settings with no AA the FPS went over 50FPS ON 1080P, not 720 or 900, but 1080p.
 
My friend today still has a HD 5850 ( even older high end card ), 1080p monitor and medium settings works like a charm over 30 FPS in modern games.
 
This all 30 FPS is just a fast cash in for the developers and publishers. The new consoles are nothing but PC-s that have PC crossed and written console, and ship with a BS OS.
The consoles today have reasonable CPU cores and capable GPU-s, not to mention a custom API that is more efficient, than DX 11, 30 fps limit even on modern consoles is a lie, they can do 60, but it would take more time to do that, not to mention that 1080p games on a console are upscaled, so even more overhead and those GPU-s should be able to do that. The 60 FPS and 1080p will come later, they will claim that they found a way to do that, but in reality they will just make the game 900p upscaled and mid PC settings equivalent, 30 FPS is just a fast cash in, and we all suffer.
 
The problem is not people buying consoles, the real problem is that the people who buy them as primary gaming machines have no clue about the hardware they are buying, and they don't even care, until they start caring, things will not really change...

Every new technology will aways be arms 1st, and civilians will get it later. This is a good, but also a bad thing, since a lot of progress is held back by that!

I like how you said, fusion energy is still 50 years away from being a viable power source. People have said that all the way back in the 1950's. It's always 50 years in the future. To be honest, we can't really predict when it's going to happen. It could very well happen tomorrow or it could take hundreds of years. Maybe we discover even better power source and fusion revolution never happens. The most sad thing is that many countries are not really focusing on fusion that much. Everyone realizes that we have to figure out alternatives for fossil fuels but they are still relatively cheap so nobody really wants to invest into alternative power sources. Fossil fuels are also very controllable, so I think certain people are in no hurry to tip that balance anytime soon.
