didnt know h370 supported ram oc but if it does then try both xmps and see if they work or not
 
3200 and 3600 are pretty damn slow so you should be fine, at worst youll be stuck to the 3200 profile if 3600 wont run for whatever reason
 
for stuff to tweak if the profile(s) dont work look at vccsa/io and vdimm (ram volt)

Yes, PSU only has one cable. I wish there were more so I could have used 2 different cables.

I've used both the G502 and the G502 Hero for several years without any issues. And these were the times when i still played CS:GO and often smashed my mouse on my table 😅
 
Now i'm using a G Pro mouse and a G910 Keyboard.
Logitech peripherals always had the right feel and quality for me.
 
I was using Corsair peripherals for a few months in between but went back to logitech because the corsair stuff was pretty poor quality, especially for the price. With them you pay a lot for the 600 LED's in every device.

I personally find AMD more appealing at the moment because dithering.
I like it on. We can use dithering on nvidia too but its real hasle to get working!
Desktop, movies, pictures etc. look horrible without dithering in my opinion, atleast with this display(Asus pg248q) but its not the only one.

This seems like good advice. But looking at the prices right now in my country, RTX 2060s are way expensive. But still will see when actually upgrading the card.
 
If a Noctua or any low profile cooler was available, I would have jumped for it straight away. So far I can only find the Cooler Master cooler I mentioned. Let's see what the others say.

I was successful in re-thermal pasting.
The old thermal paste was very hard and difficult to remove. I went through a lot of alcohol swabs for removing that.
I am happy to report that the fan is not working very hard at cooling anymore since there is no more dust and idle temperatures are between ~45 to 55 Celsius. Old idle temps were ~ 58 to 69 Celsius.

BGA chips have exposed IHS unlike desktop LGA chips which has a square cover on top of IHS, therefore dot method isn't suitable since the thermal paste needs to cover the whole IHS (which is a straight line)

That one is great to use, cuz it won't fry your parts if you spill something.

@AshleyAshes, you are totally right but I had a ray of hope that the drive will be repaired. That's why I wanted to repair it even if it contained backups. You are totally right that I should not repair it at all. That's why I have not gone further.
@Thermite I am slowly shifting to the SSD scene. I replaced my laptop hard drive with an SSD and my goal is to be free of any mechanical drives wherever possible. My next shopping will be of course the portable SSD you recommended. I have had my eyes on the T3 for a while but the T5 looks nice. I have even heard a lot about the WD portable SSD.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Expansion drive.  ^^ brings up a good point. You can find our Warranty Validation Tool here. If you are going to try "shucking", which is pulling the enclosure apart to get at the bare drive inside, to plug directly into your system, then just make sure and give this Why Is My Drive Out of Warranty FAQ from our Knowledge Base a read.

I think your only option at this point is to shuck the drive and plug it directly into your machine using known good cables. I know this is a bit annoying but it will tell you for sure wether the drive is working or not.
 
In the future if you plan on buying any external drives you might want to look into solid state drives as they won’t be damaged by shocks as easily. Plus they can be smaller with the same amount of storage. (You probably already know this considering your first post)
