  1. Can't say I've noticed any issues so far. Either option seems a good choice and if you like the Asus software then I'd say go for that.
  2. Was a hunch, though I'd of expected higher CPU useage with those settings you had, guessing GTA still doesn't take full advantage of all your cores. You can probably get a more stable FPS if you tweak the MSAA setting, and turn some settings down from Ultra/ very high to high but you'll probably be ok.
  3. I can only think having the distance scaling so high is causing a bottleneck somewhere. Try this and see if it helps. Disable V-sync Extended distance scaling off Distancing scaling, population pull them back a few clicks Turn MSAA to 4x I've locked my FPS to 61 in GTA, your FPS seems OK but the low usage doesn't.
  4. What settings are you running? I get 99% GPU usage on my 2060 running 1440 with most things on high/ultra and 4x MSAA.
  5. I have the carbon wifi and have zero issues with it. Left my 5800x at stock so far and temps are perfectly fine, XMP runs without issue on my Corsair 3600 CL18 kit. Wifi and bluetooth on this are great, I'm glad I paid the extra as my Sony BT headphones pair instantly and sound much better vs my old usb adapter. I hardly use my speakers so if you're just after good audio Tomahawk may be better. Looking at your posts I'd recommend this board (I haven't used any others so can't compare) Loads of fan headers Loads of USB XMP works fine Wifi is a nice to have as you can't move your PC around without worrying about ethernet, this also have 2.5Gig LAN, not that you'll ever use that bandwidth.
  6. The backplate will be loose, and the stand offs don't screw flush. However when you put the pump block over the CPU and fasten it down it pulls everything tight. What you need to do. 1) Find a way to push the backplate flush, you can use tape a spare hand, or of its already in your case stick something under it when you put the case on it side. 2) Make sure the protective film is over the water block 3) Get someone to hold the radiator or loosely screw it in to your case 4) Fit the pump over the block, screw the thumb screws in so its tight 5) Stand your case up and see if there is any play or movement in the back plate 6) If that is all good then take the pump off, remove the film and stick mount it fully with the thermal paste. I'd suggest mounting it in the case, as screwing down your motherboard once you have the cooler and radiator attached will be a fun game. Just make sure your power cables are plugged in before you mount anything. Looking at your motherboard, looks same as mine just shorter, so the above instructions should work. Let me know how you get on.
  7. Yep those power the fans. Plug the smaller 3 pin headerjn to your motherboard, then plug the molex in to power the fans. Depending on the fan they may even work from the 3 pin connector only.
  8. It's cool I fixed it. Turns out in Rev 3 the backplate will be loose before you attach the pump block over the CPU.
  9. If it doesn't work then you can look at a return. Your photo looks exactly like my issue, but once you put the pump on the CPU it pulls on the backplate. Fingers crossed it works out.
  10. Looks good to me, will be one hell of an upgrade. I've just gone from a 2600k to a 5800x, some nice jumps in games (I kept my 2060) but the leap in general performance and rendering work is insane. I'd look at picking up a 2TB HDD for your other data, showing $55 on newegg for the seagate. You can never have enough storage! Monitor wise LG 27gl850-b (1440p 144hz) is what I'm looking to get but here in the UK the prices have shot back up due to shortages.
  11. I had a similar issue with my Arctic Liquid, when I put the pump on it pulled the back plate tight. If you can do a test fit without the thermal paste try it and see.
  12. Right now any improvement will cost you, so it becomes how much do you want to spend. See how much 2060S go for on ebay or similar in your country. If you can get a good price for that, then I'd go for the 3060.
  13. In Cyberpunk do you get good FPS, or is the game not playable? Like any tech you can always wait for something better or cheaper, but if you have the money and want to spend it go for it. You might be able to sell your 2060S on ebay to get some of the cost back.
  14. I have a 2060 been looking at upgrading, but I'm going to wait. 3060Ti numbers look good, but I'm going to hold out for 3070 being in stock and hopefully price drops, or for AMD to bring out a 6700. What games do you play? Check the benchmarks and see how much more performance you will get in those.
  15. What temps do you get if you run the fans at 100%? Cooler wise I would have gone for the bigger D15, but for now have a google for PBO settings. I've seen people undervolt dropping temps but keeping or increasing performance in some cases.
