  1. Thanks for the input! I'm just looking for something that will be as sleek as possible.
  2. Hey everyone. So my brother is back from college and he said to me a few weeks ago words that really shocked me. He said he wanted to buy a PS4, and I spat out my cereal in disbelief. He said things along the lines of couch gaming, blah blah blah, comfort, blah blah blah, controller, blah blah blah. In any case, because I had a high end PC in my room, I was able to set up streaming to an older NUC/HTPC that was in our home theater and he fell in love with the PC Master Race due to 1080p 60fps and much graphics. Right now, I'm looking to replace that aging HTPC and bluray player that wasn't quite cutting it, and I'm just looking to build a new system that will serve as the HTPC/SteamBox/BluRay player. I will mostly be streaming games from my higher end PC with XF 290 but I would still like for it to have some gaming capability. This is the rough draft I've come up with: Budget $500-600 PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7fTMD3 Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7fTMD3/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i5-4670 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($209.88 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97N-WIFI Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard ($122.98 @ Newegg) Memory: Team Elite 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($63.98 @ Newegg) Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 270X 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card ($164.99 @ Newegg) Case: Silverstone RVZ01B Mini ITX Desktop Case ($83.99 @ SuperBiiz) Power Supply: Silverstone 450W 80+ Bronze Certified SFX Power Supply ($59.99 @ SuperBiiz) Total: $705.81 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-01-14 11:49 EST-0500 Note: I have a microcenter near me so I can always go there. I'm open to AMD CPUs/MoBo as well as nVidia GPUs. And regarding the MoBo, even though its an ITX, I just wish for it to have a slot for an AC wireless card, I have a few of my own that I can use. Any help will be greatly appreciated here!
  3. This is the MSI z77 MPower. Yeah, I decided to turn my head 90 degrees to look at my PC an realized I need the triple slot spaced one. And looking at the FrozenCPU page for the waterblock, I just realized that they have a list of compatible bridges. FrozenCPU is so hard to navigate and understand with all the clutter! (Well, not really...I just suck at researching ....I've failed you LInus....)
  4. Hi everyone! My watercooling is setup with copper pipes with currently one AMD 290 in an EK Full cover block. As a result, I don't have much leeway with positioning or the connectors for my setup when I add a second GPU. I can ONLY make a dual parallel setup, but I've run into some confusion. I have found these options for the bridges, but I'm unsure of which one to get. 1. EK Bridges & Links (The one I'm looking at is THIS ONE) 2. EK CSQ Bridges & Links (The one I'm look at is THIS ONE) 3. EK FC Terminal (The one I'm looking at is THIS ONE) What is the difference amongst those three and which one will be compatible with my full cover blocks. I essentially have two of these: EK-FC 290 Waterblock Rev. 2.0
  5. I'm going to have to roll back to the 13.11/12 drivers. The current driver has been causing random sound outages and more frequent BF4 crashes. Also, I can't play other games like Tomb Raider for more than 30 minutes before it crashes. I have the R9-290 and an i5-3570k.
  6. Sorry, I was typing on my phone. I meant "very good solution" if not, better solution vs getting a dedicated Netgear R7000 router? Yup, thanks lol. I was typing on my phone.
  7. But what I want to know is if this will be a very solution vs getting a full wireless router.
  8. I currently have the RT-56u, which is the one and only router in my house. Although its range is really good, I'm having a bit of trouble using it in my home theater where a NUC is shows the blue ray quality videos from my NAS and recently, Steam in Home streaming. I was thinking of replacing the whole router with the new Netgear R7000, but instead of doing that, I'm highly considering buying either the UniFi AP Pro or the UniFi AP AC. Can I just turn off the wireless of my RT-N56U and hook one of these bad boys up with ethernet or will I need a different router? I plan on upgrading the router to something different in the near future? Will this be enough for streaming from the NAS or Steam in home streaming?

  10. Help requested: What color should I make the pipes? Matte Black or Dark Gray? Basically, this is what my rig looks like: I have a PSU cover over it that I'm not complete with, but it will look like this: I'm choosing between gray (that resembles pretty closely to the gray on my PSU wire sleeve) or a matte black sort of color. This is a sample of what the gray looks like: The sample tube is sitting right above the PSU Please help!
  11. If you're looking to buy something within the states, Lutro0's Telios sleeving is around and I hear its pretty good. I haven't seen a direct comparison between MDPC-X and Telios, but I'd personally go for MDPC-X myself. More color variety, and from my last build which was sleeved with MDPC-X, I can say and bet my life about the quality lol.
  12. I really want to apologize about the images. I'm so used to OCN's more user friendly system that I've lost the patience of cropping and re sizing images that this forum requires. However, if its too painful for some people, I'll find some batch image resizer. I'll make sure that the final studio quality images are compatible with this forum, though.
  13. Thank you for everyone's kind words! I've got a pretty big update to add on here.
  14. Are you talking about Paul Tan's build? I was first introduced to his work by his Lamborghini build which just blew me away. I've seen his Dark Knight PC, and I don't think I can ever match his artistic ways lol.
