Very true. I hope the Athlon X4 860K I'm getting is worth the $70 or whatever it costs.

Amd CPU's don't bottleneck GPUs, all PCI connectivity is handled by your motherboard chipset a 990fx motherboard would yield the best results.
Also bottlenecking is a misused term and taken way to seriously the difference from CPU to CPU is so negligible it dosent really matter unless your talking about single core cpu's trying to run enthusiast grade cards.

No but seriously, I'll wait until one with g-sync is a little bit cheaper tbh. We got to think of the younger kids, they have to get a job too! And now there's a job opening!

The Q6600 is your processor (cpu). Do some research on who manufactured your PC such as Dell, HP, etc.  Include some pics of your case interior and component listings if possible.  This would better inform the community of what your working with so recommendations could be made.  Also, wattage on your power supply (should be a sticker on it) would really be helpful as well

Also, what are you using your PC for....gaming, general use, things like this would help also.....

Minzo, think about it....all the little kids who build these monitors for us.  They are depending on you to buy a new monitor every so often (and new components from time to time).  Do YOU want to be the one to have them thrown off the assembly line....I think not.  SO....tell the girlfriend, "Stop woman ...i will help these children and buy a new monitor!!!"

Or, if you wanna be all ninja-like , buy one...leave it on the doorstep with a "Congratulations you won" card, and say you won it in a contest....then say "Oh no, someone took my card, I don't know where it is...."

Either way, you'll get a new monitor...win, win....so you lose out on a couple nights of carnal pleasure....use that time to break in the new monitor

From the PCI-E bracket back....and then the fan.  Use something to keep the fan from spinning (pencil tip, paperclip, etc.) and blow towards the bracket.

Worse case scenario would be to replace thermal paste/pads...this would require taking the shroud off.  I only recommend this if your card is out of warranty as it could/would void it.

The bracket is the portion of the card that attaches to your case, this will have vents where the hot air is pushed out of your particular card.  If looking at the rear of your case, look at your card.

The slotted portion is your exhaust port....blow into first and then from the fan, this should dislodge any dust bunnies that have made their home in your card

Good...but remember, that when the can starts to get cold, stop as condensation is building and pressure will degrade.  White stuff=condensation=wet on electronics= unhappy GPU.  Hope everything works out....also, if there are any other openings around the card, try and blow into them back towards the bracket.

There are probably better videos depicting the process of removing the shroud, and it will vary from manufacturer...but just to give you an idea if you decide to.

As the dust/debris comes out of the card, it would get into your case.  Could you..yes, but not advisable.

Not so much complicated as potentially detrimental to your GPU if not performed correctly.  Just included to give you an overview of what's involved.  If attempted in the future, just ensure that you are not standing in water doing this on carpet during an electrical storm

I use compressed air, check your distance (don't spray it too close) and don't spray directly to the fans. Put your hand so the fans don't spin when sprayed with compressed air so it doesn't break.

If you consider 50$ cheap, then there's the Thermalright true spirit 140 power. It's really tall, but also a beast at cooling and it's freaking silent!
