  1. I'm expecting around 50% improvement personally. Probably not enough for me to buy a 50 series but I will find out at the time. Not sure what you mean about 4k content being expensive. I don't watch many shows or movies but I know Netflix and youtube have 4k content. Even the new consoles have a version of 4k. 4k content is plentiful. If you play old games you can easily power 4k with a 3090ti very well.
  2. I've only had it for 2 months.
  3. Yeah I think 1k was too high but people paid it. I think 800 would have been more fair but the demand was there. 4k gaming is expensive but honestly getting the 4090 and the c2 was worth it to me. Playing cyber punk 4k psycho settings, max rtx, hdr, max density crowds, dlss3 max, on the oled is truly insane. Going from 1440p 165hz ips to this is mind blowing. And to think Cyber Punk came out in 2020 it feels years ahead of other games. Next gen is rumored to be an even bigger leap than this gen so you'll have your shot at 4k gaming then. Maybe just save your money and hold out for then since you agree the 240hz 1440p panels are priced high. As for dough monitors I would not go for them lol. Huge scam and after so long you can't even do a charge back on your card.
  4. While it is true all panels can experience "burn in" and this image retention can differ from display technology, oled has much faster burn in than miniled to my understanding. Qled and mini led have a much longer lifespan and you don't have to worry about them like you do with oleds if you are using it as a monitor. As for 4k 240hz samsung already released the neo g8 summer last year. 4k 240hz curved panel. It utilizes compression technology to get 240hz out of hdmi 2.1. The monitors are however plagued by scan lines and dead pixels which is why I have avoided them. If I could find one for just less than 1k that didn't have QC issues I would get it. Unfortunately it's the only option available right now.
  5. I've been gaming off of a 1440p 165hz for 7 years. The new displays are not enough of an upgrade. I've moved on from 1440p and won't be going back. Those monitors look great they're just not for me. If they were 4k 240hz I would have considered it. Also OLED is amazing but burn-in is a serious issue. I have already have the c2 and need a display that won't burn in. Something I can leave windows on for hours and listen to music. I've already been leaving static images on the c2 just from normal use and it's annoying to have to be so careful of the oled panel. Hopefully micro LED will be attainable for reasonable prices in the next 2-4 years. I just don't see how it's worth paying 1k for a 1440p display that can burn in. Most people have been using 1440p for a long time. I want to experience 4k now and the 4090 is more than capable.
  6. Wrong topic, meant to post this in monitors I'm in the market for a 160 to 240hz 4k mini led. Not looking for monitors with scan line issues. Also any other suggestions would be great! I haven't tried any ultra wide yet. I've done my research but sometimes I miss some monitors such as the cooler master gp27u I just found out about. Looking for high end monitors. I have a 4090 and game off of an LG C2 oled. It truly is amazing but there are some games I go over 120fps and unfortunately I'm limited by the c2. It would also be nice to have another option to prevent burn in on the oled. Thanks.
  7. Going from a 3080 to 6950xt I feel you will be disappointed. Not a big upgrade at all and it lacks the latest features such as dlss3 and improved ray tracing from rtx 40.
  8. Get the 4070ti for dlss3 alone. Even without dlss3 it outperforms the 6950xt.
  9. The 4070ti is the better card by far. DLSS3 also makes this a no brainer. You can almost double your fps in some games while using it.
  10. I made this post in power supplies but didn't get a response and figured it might get more traffic here. I have done more research into offline, inline, and online ups systems. Still not clear how to proceed. Online seems like it would be a good option but a lot of people don't recommend it for audio gear.
  11. I ordered this power conditioner for my audio equipment. https://www.amazon.com/WAudio-Noise-Power-Conditioner-Protector/dp/B098JVSVNV/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=S29ZM41W9NAG&keywords=waudio&qid=1673570274&sprefix=waudio%2Caps%2C291&sr=8-5&th=1&psc=1 I also need to get an UPS for my computer and tv. Do you have any recommendations for UPS that have conditioning/voltage regulation? I was considering returning the power conditioner and plugging the audio gear into a ups. I've heard that low end sine wave ups can cause issues with audio quality and that is why I went with the conditioner for the amps/dacs. Anyone knowledge in regards to this would be helpful. I need a quality ups. I also want to know if I should just return the conditioner, and plug my audio gear directly into the ups. I could also keep the conditioner and just get a ups for my pc/displays. Pc: 1200w psu Rtx 4090 I7-13700k Audio: Yggdrasil DAC Hdva 600 amp Integra Drx 7
  12. My default audio device will reset randomly on restart as will my defauot resolution and refresh rate. Any idea how to prevent this? It was mever a poblem with windows 10.
  13. My computer seems to crash sometimes while watching youtube videos but it also has done it at random times.
  14. Any idea how to automatically update drivers for msi? I manually installed all of the ones I could. When I installed my previous motherboard it prompted me to automatically update drivers and didn't do it with this mobo.
