They began to remove that years ago. Now Google is infested with neo Marxists/she trying to force their ideology on everyone.
Every major it company is suffering from this now, as they all precide in the ideological echo bubble in the bay area of San Fran.

Don't know how much this is "news" anymore. Google has walked over that "Don't be evil"-motto a long time ago. Acctually let me show you:
Who remembers the times when there was no ads shown in Google search? I mean those few years back clearly labeled "Ad" hits. They came somewhere around in the middle of 00's and were debate for some time because they were not labeled as sold ads, but diggers dig and the truth unfolded, Google had started to sell ad space on their search results. Was it unbiased as Googles own motto said they were oblicated to deliver, of course not. But this is only the tip, let's take a better look at that citate:
Law to common language translation: "We will monitor what you do, where you do and when you do and we will offer our products and our parterns products to you as we see you need them"

They basicly have had the whole time, in their CoC, paragraph that at the same time makes it sound like they are the good guys and give them freedom to prefer their products over the competition. But this is just normal corporation BS. The money must come from somewhere and everybody who were even a little tech savvy when Google started knew that the "Don't be evil" was more or less something of a advertisement for how the new deodorant will make you instantly desirable. While Yahoo, AltaVista and others made their money by offering ads on their front page, what at the same time made Google the best was, in hindisight, a sign what was really going on.

And don't take me wrong. I'm more than okay with what Google is doing, because the money must come from somewhere, would be really stupid to think otherwise, and offering free services and products to masses really doesn't sound like something that would be very profitable in the long run.

With all due respect, you don't even know what neo marxism/intersectional feminism is. I don't blame you though. It's difficult to explain and understand such an over reaching ideology. But it's utter nonsense to demand sources of people identifying as such. You can see it on behaviour alone. A behaviour warrenting a massive law suits with many accusers now (Damore case). If you don't want to spend the time looking into this and understanding it, well I don't blame you really. But that doesn't make me wrong. It just makes you ignorant.

This comment shows you literally do not understand anything I have said and have not taken the time to read any of my comments as to why. I have very rationally explained why, it is your own inability to actually take the time read what has been said and I base this off the replies you have given thus far and the refusal or lack of response to the parts where I have actually explained myself.

If you can take only one thing away from this then let it be this, if someone asks you to actually read their point and reply to it them maybe that is an indicator to you that you have missed something or are not having the same discussion that the other person is.

In summary of my points since you missed them or refuse to reply to them, it is improper for Nvidia to gain from other companies financial contributions without their consent, one not given by AMD a contributor of ROG. You cannot explain this away with Nvidia's right to do best for their business. If Nvidia wants exclusive branding they must create it or suck it up and live with ROG as it is.

There is no justification you can give for the taking of other companies resources.

No one was really saying branding contracts are abnormal, the specifics of how it is being done which is the important part. Specifics matter especially if people are going to go down the legality line, not that I am going down the legal line myself.

There actually does need to be a distinction between different types of branding contracts and what is and is not acceptable. We can't very well say all branding contracts are ok can we, some could very well not be.

Unlike what was mentioned in that branding literature AIBs also have their own branding which is used across products, from different InBrand suppliers, which is a much more complex situation. Unlike a bicycle with Shimano running gear that creates a singular product and a singular InBranding or CoBranding deal graphics cards are not this.

Graphics cards from AIBs currently have a 3 party co-sharing of branding, Nvidia might not like it this way but if they want to change it more care needs to be done in how they do it. It is not acceptable in my view to take over this existing branding which is also being used on non Nvidia products, not just AMD as well. The acceptable way is to work with AIBs to make new exclusive branding. Nvidia evidently was the only party involved that does not like the current way branding is handled so if they want it changed they need to work with AIBs not force their hand.

Before you reply to that last sentence keep in mind the confirmation from Asus of the end to Arez, if they or AMD wanted it then it would not have been cancelled. This is not a stretch too far to read in to, you don't end things you want like has transpired, you keep it.

It's not a matter of what they want that is bad it's how they went about it, good intentions aren't enough.

    Edit:
And yes Nvidia products were always going to be given the current branding with the way it was handled, AIBs are businesses too and will not hurt their revenue and creating new branding for Nvidia products would do exactly that. Asus wants ROG on Nvidia GPUs, they also want it on AMD GPUs but if forced to pick it goes to Nvidia. Business is business, root cause still goes to Nvidia.

I gotta say, Silverstone is really pushing the SFX form factor, and I love it. The stated 24/7 runtime at 40c environment seems too good to be true. I would love for @LinusTechto test this one out.

I love small form factors. My next PC will definitely be an ITX based computer, probably based on @dondan 's C4 case:

I wonder if airflow will be enough for this PSU, and if the length will be an issue. Either way, great to see Silverstone be this active in the SFX market. Definitely worth a view.

Strange. But at 400w use they are both at 45 dba, so it's quite similar, although the fan is much faster on the 600w?!?! The 600w does seem to have a more aggressive curve. The reasoning for me is that a PSU runs most efficient at ~50%. So if my PC uses 3-400w, a 600w PSU would be better than a 450w. But this just seems odd.

The problem with appeasing religious or social activists is that they will be back tomorrow with even greater demands. As funny as hating on the weebs might be to some, the hate will not end there. There has never been a period of time when gaming has not been the subject of some moral panic or another.

That special interest group was smart in targeting a despised sub culture to set a precedent in. You can count on that precedent being leveraged often in further campaigns.

It's called GeForce. Claiming AIB branding is a dick move. Nvidia's power move may be the most brilliant ever but it doesn't help anyone else If we all know so little, how can you argue either way? The Asus debacle is proof enough something was up The Asus debacle does not prove everything levied against Nvidia ?? Profit

And yet in all these examples you gave none of them are the equivalent to an AIB, you're talking the retail aspect of it and those are examples are true. Can you name any examples on the manufacturing side at all, the product creation side. I can't, only trademark restrictions preventing naming of new things or post discovered infringement.

To make it clear an AIB is not a retailer so no retail examples applies. If GPP was between Amazon and Nvidia then we have an applicable example.

Not once have I ever seen Coke's contract with McDonalds put in to effect a name change of Pepsi products at KFC.
  22. Agree
Notional reacted to leadeater in ASUS Killing AREZ brand? ROG is Back? *UPDATED ARTICLE*
But neither Pepsi nor Coke can make each other have to rename their own existing products. Sure they can't infringe on trademarked names so that does apply but when is the last time you saw a deal between a distributor and a retail store force a product naming change for some other 3rd party product? I've never heard of such a thing ever.

This is why I say retail/distribution contracts are not like this situation, they seem similar as they have forms of branding requirements and restrictions but GPP was not effecting this side of the industry directly. When AIBs, the companies actually making the products (so Pepsi and Coke very roughly), can no longer name another product they make already, not directly related to a contract they have signed with another different company, this is an actual concern.

If Newegg signs an agreement to only sell Nvidia GPUs go for it, up to them. Neither Newegg, Nvidia or anyone else other than AMD and the AIB making the actual product should be able to force a rebrand of existing product lines with the one exception being trademark infringement.

    I honestly think:

GPP had a large affect has some suspected.

Worryingly enough I still see users trying to damage control it by bringing up retired brands.

    Outline below.

GPP announced --> ROG becomes Arez --> GPP is cancelled --> Arez stopped and ROG resurfaces almost immediately.

This is a monthly timescale compared to yearly timescale some members are citing evidence from.

Honestly the tech community can sometimes be so dense that you could fit them on a PCB.

Its pretty clear that GPP was indeed a devil in the clothes of a sheep.
