  1. Update to this. Tried out auslogics, seems pretty nice. Will try it out for a while. Thanks for the replies!
  2. Only a little sketchy
  3. Looking for suggestion of best disk defraggers to use. I mean, i know they're all basically the same. What i'm really asking is if there is any advantage to using a third party one vs the default windows. If so, are there any better options other than JKdefrag that don't have paid versions and are basically bloatware(looking at you Piriform)? Thanks.
  4. TL;DR Any better alternatives to HUE+ RGB lighting? I need a new a lighting system for my case. I've had the NZXT HUE+ for a couple years now, but im sick of having to replace *something* every few months. Ive replaced every part of the system at least once; controller, multiple cables and 2 full sets of led strips. Right now im dealing with a strip inversing whatever color you asign the LEDs. For example, if you turn them red the strip will glow green. If you make them blue, the strip will glow orange(essentially a color wheel effect). While I like the fact each LED is individually changeable, I'm tired of dealing with them. Need some alternatives. I have an ASUS Maximus VIII Hero Alpha, so i can use any rgb strips. Are there any that have the ability to change a single LED color?
  5. My EVGA 108ti ftw3 almost refuses to go past 2050mhz core, and doesn't more thatn +25 to the memory. I thought it was bad luck in the Lottery but perhaps they're a little more limited from the start?
  6. Oh. That's cool i guess. Why not talk about it in cases too?
  7. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fractal-design-define-r6-tempered-glass-edition-case,5399.html I am actually pretty excited about this case. They seemed to have addressed everything that was off-putting (to me, anyways) about the R5. Has a lot of options and space for water cooling too, as long as you don't use internal HDDs. Is anybody planning picking this up when it hits stores/e-tailers?
  8. There's titans on there tho.
  9. A suggestion for future form revisions: Add a column for case. Cooling capacity is arguably the most important factor when OCing. The ability to intake and exhaust air can drastically affect CPU temps and may inhibbit maximum overclocks even when using the same hardware as someone else.
  10. Is this database dead? There's nothing current on there for nvidia (and probably AMD, don't really know whats their current anymore). Or maybe overclocking has changed and there isn't really a point for nvidia gpus?
  11. It only shows you what your computer is puling from the wall at the given time, not really what it needs. There are PSU calculators you can use that will do that for you. https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator
  12. Suuuuure it's not your mac But yes, you should be fine doing that. As @DatTestBench said, it may not provide enough power for fast charging though.
  13. Yes, that is correct. The case comes with 2 fans; 1 in the top one in rear. However they're not very good, so if you have a particular fan you want to use instead then yes; you will need to buy exhaust fans. Top can be either a 140 or a 120. Edit: Oh, also, you can only fit one 140mm fan in that case with the cooler you have. You have two corsair 140mm fans in that list, can remove one.
  14. You'll have to mount the block for the h100i with the logo upside down in that case. I have the same case and cooler. The tubing on the AIO is pretty stiff and a tad long for the relatively small space inside the case, so keep that in mind when putting this in. Your tubing will also likely hit your side panel slightly. In response to the discussion on temps inside the case; that is completely dependent on their airflow. If you put silence-optimized/low rpm fans in this case, then yes your temps are going to suffer because there's only two exhaust fans. But if you have decent airflow optimized fans, or any 140mm fan on the top of this case(with the rear fan also populated), temps are not bad at all. I have a 6700k and an EVGA 1080ti, and temps are comfortable. Mind you neither are overclocked right now; two exhaust fans is not enough to handle overclocking very well.
  15. And with that, the internet is dead.
  16. Jesus just listening to Ajit speak is painful. I'm pretty sure he's just making up facts or cherry picking facts for these companies he's listing. Lol everyone getting kicked out of the office now.
  17. Not to be a debbie-downer but i think you have a borked cpu socket. When you tighten down on the socket and it stops booting, the pcb could be cracked or warped around the socket and/or cooler mounting plate/bracket.
  18. If you have to remove the entire cooler for it to boot, it sounds like something isn't mounted or installed correctly. Have you tired removing the CPU and reinstalling it to assure it has a proper seating then reapplying the the cooler?
  19. Can you mount UFB (Updraft Floating Balance) bearings horizontally in a case without causing vibrations, grinding, or other noises? Looking at getting this phanteks fan. I've mounted a fan that had a hydro-dynamic bearing, and it caused really bad vibrations when mounted horizontally/upside down. I don't know a lot about UFB types, wondering if anyone who uses these fans horizontally/upside down could offer some opinions on them. edit2: corrected grammar and missing words
  20. Sennheiser Game One and Game Zero are on sale right now on amazon(US): https://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-GAME-ONE-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00GWU8FTK https://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-GAME-ZERO-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00GWU8FAE Nevermind.
  21. They will probably perform pretty poorly at gaming actually. Titans are not gaming cards, they are AI deep learning, encoding and rendering focused now.. pretty much as everyone else has said so far. If it does those tasks better and faster than other cards, it could be worth the price to people who use it in those ways. but for a gamer, absolutely not. Waste of money. if you want the best of Volta for gaming, wait for the 2080ti later next year(or 2019).
