  2. Thank you for your help. I think I'm about ready to begin building.
  3. Okay, I'll look into those.
  4. Okay I'm not going to OC, and i'll change the cooler. Which Mobo would you think is best.
  5. Well, this is my first build and I'm trying to find the right parts but it a little overwhelming. I'm trying to build something that will last me a long time without any upgrades.
  6. Yes, I got the stryker SE by cooler master. I got an optical drive so that I can watch my blue ray movies.
  7. So I'm building my first computer and I'm kinda new at this. I'll be using this rig mostly for gaming, internet browser (streaming, etc) and watching movies. I may do some content creation but the likelihood of that happening soon is pretty low, although I might try it for a bit. (Nothing fancy just SFM) I'm not going to buy all the parts at once instead wait after each paycheck and order a part, saving the sensitive ones (GPU and CPU) close to the end. 1. Budget & Location $US 2,500 I already got a case its the stryker SE by cooler master. The Optical Drive is for when I want to watch my blue ray movies. 8. That is why I'm going to get the things I can test, you know like the case, software, peripherals and mostly the purchases are going to come around the same time as I get paid three times a month. When the paycheck comes in then I'll place an order.
  9. I don't feel comfortable overclocking right at this moment. Maybe down the road but not right now. Which keyboard would you suggest?

Monitors One: 3440 x 1440 I'm open to suggestions (with details on why part so and so is good) and learning. Oh, I would like it to be easy to upgrade as well down the road. 11. Thank you all for your help. Now that we have the specs down. Is there any preference for the monitor (brand etc). Asus seems to be the go-to brand for monitors but I'm open to anything. I just something that's nice and reliable. (I'm a sucker for pretty graphics and visuals) Since I'm getting these parts at incremental times I can smidge on the 2500 budget a little bit.
  12. I have been doing research but it's becoming apparent that I've just been running around in circles. I just find it hard to find reliable sources for the things I need.
  13. what is the next best thing? I don't want to spend over $2,500
  14. So I'm building my first computer and I'm trying to figure out what kind of monitor I should get. Budget is $2,500 So my question is which one should I go for? I would like to have the best 1440p experience in everything I do (Gaming in max settings, blue ray movies, and yadda yadda) My current parts list: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant Type Item Price CPU Intel - Core i7-7740X 4.3 GHz Quad-Core Processor $314.99 @ Walmart CPU Cooler Cooler Master - MasterLiquid ML240L RGB 66.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $69.59 @ OutletPC Thermal Compound ARCTIC - MX4 4 g Thermal Paste $3.99 @ SuperBiiz Motherboard MSI - X299 RAIDER ATX LGA2066 Motherboard $205.48 @ Amazon Memory G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory $134.99 @ Newegg Storage Samsung - 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $72.99 @ Amazon Storage Seagate - Barracuda 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $58.89 @ OutletPC Video Card Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1080 8 GB G1 Gaming Video Card $699.00 @ B&H Case Cooler Master - Storm Stryker (White) ATX Full Tower Case $164.99 @ Amazon Power Supply EVGA - BQ 600 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply $55.58 @ OutletPC Optical Drive LG - WH14NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer $59.89 @ OutletPC Operating System Microsoft - Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit $98.89 @ OutletPC Software Microsoft - Office Home and Student 2016 Software $122.89 @ Trusted Tech Team Keyboard Redragon - DEVARAIAS K556 RGB Wired Gaming Keyboard $59.99 @ Amazon Speakers Logitech - Z313 25 W 2.1ch Speakers $35.69 @ Walmart Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $2197.84 Mail-in rebates -$40.00 Total $2157.84 Generated by PCPartPicker 2018-11-20 18:38 EST-0500
  15. I'm looking at the MSI GT62VR DOMINATOR PRO-239 any thoughts on that.
  16. I'm going to avoid Dell products mostly because some of my family has, or had their products and are not satisfied. I'll look into the others though. Thanks.
  17. I am currently looking for a laptop that I can play games in 1080p at least in 60 FPS. My budget will be below $2,000. I will use this laptop mostly for gaming (games like Battlefront 1&2 should be the most demanding games that I'll play, but who knows in the future), but I will be surfing the web and streaming online videos. I'm not big on the flashy showy things (RGB lights and such) only graphics and performance. I'm currently looking at the ASUS G752VS-XB72K OC Edtion as a possibility. If anyone has one any better suggestions or has experience with this laptop please let me know. The laptop will mostly be stationary and only moving around every couple months or so. Weight will not be an issue. I know little about computers I'm transitioning from console gaming.
  18. #ROGRigReboot Sorry for going over 60 sec. My computer is running on Intel Pentium CPU 2020M. I do not know what my graphic card is, but I believe that it is an integrated one. It's about 30% dust and dirt (thanks to living in India for five to six years) and the keys are starting to fall off. I cannot build or purchased one myself as most of my funds are already tied up. I would like to spend time playing games with my little brother when I move out. I would like a 1080 (TI would be nice) and 16 GB of memory. Everything else can be talked about later as I'll just be using it for gaming and a little heavy internet surfing and a lot of streaming watching. I'm not all that savvy when it comes to computer hardware. I know the basics but I do not know what would work the best for me. Sorry about the lack of fancy colors or slides. I do not know how to do any of that stuff. And no face pic sorry if its required let me know and I'll fix that.
