For entry programming and graphics work there's no reason to need xeon chips and quadros. Your best bet for a workhorse cpu is ryzen and a gtx 1050 or amd 460 should be a find gpu.

The HP has the superior cpu.

It'll get the job done for sure.
If you want to do any real multitasking and/or have more then a few chrome tabs open, I would recommend getting a core i3 based machine.

It depends on what you'll do let's say I will buy a laptop for Web Development and daily use but if you want something for gaming build a pc but if you just want to do your homework and for daily use you can get a pretty good laptop for 700$

See, I do game, but I never have to to actually go to my room and game.... I'm just gonna get a laptop probably...

OK there is good laptops with nvidia graphics card and pretty good specs but building a pc is always cheaper and lots of fun!

And please onto buy a gaming laptop with core i7 or something like that it's useless Unless you are doing some video editing 

I'd definitely want to win the new Razer Blade, it'd be epic for my trip to Canada next year.

You likely can run them on like 20fps at 720p low graphics and stuff..

You don't know what it would be like in 15 years, like, laptops could just turn obsolete. Hell, you may not even be able to use your laptop for everyday task with the new technology going around. We don't know what's gonna happen within the next decade or two so it may be best if you try to save at least 1-2 dollar per day and go from there even if you have hide it.

The specifications seem comparable with the Asus Transformer Book T100. You could try looking for reviews on that laptop/tablet thing and compare its price with the laptop you had in mind

The new Razer Blade is amazing please, look epic with specs to match.
A massive upgrade from my laptop (in signature) and i could actually play games above 10fps and instead of ulta low setting, high!  
I would be using it for gaming, school work, Scouting work (explorer and young leader), development and much more, then i could turn this laptop in to a server machine.

It had to go back and watch the video at 0.5x speed to take it in.

Stealth for me. As an aspiring game designer (3D artist and Audio Designer) I think this will be perfect for it. Also because I'm a student and can't ever hope to afford something like this. And hey! I might even win something for once
