  1. At least in my country, all the servers that SpeedTest ping are ISP servers or subsidiary of ISP. According to this list: https://www.speedtestserver.com/
  2. SpeedTest pings your ISP server, which is probably way closer to you than the closest Fortnite server, therefore will be way shorter. Anyway, 300ms+ is excessive. Where do you live? are you trying to play with people from other countries? I don't know if there's an option to set region inside the game, if so - try to set it to the exact region you live in.
  3. But we already paid. For the console and for the game. Sony and Microsoft take up to 30% of all purchases, I'll guess Nintendo doesn't charge less than that. That's money that comes right out of our pockets. Steam takes a similar amount and gives you all those features for free - because we will go somewhere else if they'll start charging - and they're not doing so bad. On consoles, you have no alternatives. That's all there is to it. Nothing more.
  4. It's already on Apple store. They don't really have a choice - you can't sideload apps on iOS as a regular user. I do agree that this is a terrible move. I already see all the apps promising free in-game currency and fake Fortnite apps. Also updated will be very annoying to manage.
  5. I have a GTX1080 with R5 1600, no issues.
  6. 70 Euros?! I bought mine for £30 last Black Friday. Don't pay twice as much, wait for a deal that'll surely come soon. They drop to 30-40 Euros on Amazon.de quite often.
  7. Open World doesn't make a game suddenly better. IT's tool - one of many - used to tell a story. You can't say one game is better then another just because it's open world. It can enhance the story if done right, or become a chore if not. Look at Ubisoft games - almost everything became open world and only made their games more bland, shallow chase-map-icons' type of games. The witcher 2 tells more tight, linear story. There was no need for an open world and in my opinion. Graphically, it looks much better the Skyrim, The combat system is miles ahead, the story is better (in my opinion), acting and dialog are better. I'm not sure what you mean by the soundtrack, The Witcher 2 had a decent OST. not iconic like 3 but defently not the same track. To each their own, and you may not like the game. But it's far from 'total garbage'.
  8. I'm only in the middle of the first (run into some technical problems) but i played the second years ago, and it's brilliant. Yes, the Kayran was king of annoying, but i really enjoyed the eternal battle and the dragon fight. They are proper fights that require preparations and knowledge (today they probably be described as 'Dark Souls Esque', as everything with a bit of challenge), not just high enough numbers on your sword. Yes, the environments are limited, but you have to remember it's not an open world game, made by a relatively small studio with limited resources. They made much better job with those limitations then Bioware did in Dragon Age 2, for example. In my opinion, The Witcher 2 is much better the Skyrim - another fantasy RPG released originally around the same time - in every aspect. story-wise, mechanics, graphics. Only god knows how the broken mess that is Skyrim got such a legendary status.
  9. So you bought 400$ HOTAS to play arcade flight games? The last one i played was Tom Clancy's HAWX 2, it was decent.
  10. My monitor comes at 75Hz out of the box and games crash even when set to 1920x1080 60Hz. But it dosn't matter, it's get back to my original rant - no other game crash because of monitor refresh rate. That's a joke.
  11. I'll start by saying i don't have a problem with Ubisoft. I think they are the lesser evil among the big publishers. Uplay is the only launcher i'm willing to install on my PC (that's why i play Battlefield only on Xbox even though FPS with a controller is the devil's creation). But they have an amazing ability to have the same bugs across most of their games, for years now, with no fix in sight. Seriously, Years. Most of Ubisoft's single-player games won't run unless install on the system drive. You have an SSD as a system drive and HDD for your game library? no Assassin's creed for you. i own AS 3, 4 and bought Origins (that i refunded), also FarCry 3, Blood Dragon and 4, and Watch Dogs. Also, according to their support, i need to replace my monitor (2560x1080, 75Hz), because my monitor (!) cause the games to crash: Assassin's Creed 3 was released in 2012. The same bug is present in Origins from 2017 and seeing how similar Odyssey looks i'm willing to bet it'll be the same story. The forums are full of people having the same problems: https://www.reddit.com/r/assassinscreed/comments/8n7f1e/assassins_creed_origins_not_opening_ubisoft/ https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/666828126571781045/ https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/140950-ubisoft-games-not-on-c-drive/ And many more. Basically, i have lots of games i can't play on my main PC, only on my laptop (that have a more conventional screen and only one SSD drive) and have a far less enjoyable experience. Somehow, Online-mainly games works just fine. Siege and For Honor runs perfectly from my E: drive, at 21:9 aspect ratio 75fps. I wonder why. This post is basically a rant, but if any of you have a solution i'll be thankful.
  12. Portal (both of them), as you can clearly guess from my user name. The Witcher series is a close second.
  13. Newegg accept Paypal and ship to Israel. Note that they, like Amazon, charge all the taxes at checkout. B&H also ship to Israel, but you'll have to handle custom yourself (not recommended if you planning on ordering anything that transmit at 5Ghz). GPU will be a lot cheaper, but when i bought my PC the PSU was cheaper locally (i bought it from TMS), the shipping costs kills the price.
