  1. Thank you very much for all the info. I'll go with the i5-13600K then. Also might drop down to an RTX 3050 Much appreciated.
  2. Budget (including currency): ~$1700 CDN before tax. Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Video Editing Other details: Just need the tower, no monitor, keyboard etc. This is for a friend of mine that wants an Intel CPU. I have been out of the PC build business for a few years and need someone to confirm the following parts will play nice. Or maybe suggest replacements. This will mostly be used for editing videos. Not sure on the Mobo. It's got dual 8 pin power connectors, not sure if PSU is compatible or is there an adaptor I can get for the second 8 pin? Or recommend a compatible PSU. Also would an RTX 3050 be good enough for this to save a hundred bucks? Thank you!
  3. Hi guys. I work for a small steel shop where we have the inventory in a Microsoft access database on a local file server. Couple terminals at each end of shop. Was asked if we could get a couple tablets than could be attached to the forklifts. Was looking at Microsoft Surface Go 3, but wondered if you have others that might work and possibly cheaper. Thank you.
  4. Hi guys. I just put a build together that included QL Series fans and Hyper 212 BE. Unfortunately the wire brackets that come with hyper 212 is a no go with the QL fans. They have the corners plugged lol and cant use them. Is there something out there that would work, other that tie wraps I used temporarily? Thanks.
  5. The videos play perfect in my rig with a GTX 1050 2GB. I figured it should be no problem with the GTX 1650 4GB
  6. I don't think the CPU is the issue tho. It's just that the card isn't decoding by the looks of it, but don't exactly know what to change in the NVIDIA Control Panel
  7. This computer was built by me many moons ago using a 2500K, 8GB RAM and built in graphics. Here's the story, My buddies kids got a GoPro 4K and took some videos while on vacation. Now trying to play the videos are real choppy. I played some of the videos on my rig with a GTX 1050 2GB and played very smoothly. Very low CPU usage and the 1050 was about 50% decoding. Now I figured all they need a a GPU, so I bought the GTX 1650 OC 4GB and installed it including latest drivers. Unfortunately the 2500 seems to be doing all the work and GPU is idling. How can I force the GPU to do the work? Thank you.
  8. Thank you both for the reply's. I did go ahead and place the order. Cheers.
  9. What are the chances the Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P motherboard and AMD FX-8350 are compatible out of the box with no BIOS update required? https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00CX4MUCC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&psc=1 https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B009O7YUF6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&psc=1
  10. Ouch! Turns out that Lexar and Sony are the only one making XQD cards for Nikon cameras. With Lexar out, everyone needing the cards are at Sony's mercy
  11. The only thing I remember buying from them was way back in around 2002. It was a lexar memory stick pro duo 256mb from Tiger Direct lol.
  12. Lexar is closing shop. Micron, its parent company, has decided to end Lexar products after 20 years in selling all sort of memory cards and flash drives. Micron said that they are looking into selling Lexar brand. While I never liked the brand my self it's really to bad to see the competition go. Hope somebody takes over and keep it going rather than bury it. https://www.micron.com/about/blogs/2017/june/micron-discontinuing-lexar-removable-storage-retail-business Also a blurb from digitaltrends. https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/micron-axes-lexar/
