  1. Thanks everyone; I have just done the upgrade and changed the folders' location via properties.
  2. Does this work on Windows 10?
  3. I guess this has been a problem since Windows 8.1 but I am still using 7. I'm considering upgrading to 10 and am wondering what to do with my User folder seeing as how I won't be able to move it off my C drive. How do you manage having a smaller SSD boot drive and large storage HDD? Is it just a matter of creating folders on the HDD and manually managing my files?
  4. I was having this problem and, for me, it seems to be related to MSI Afterburner... I thought my overclock was stable so I'm not sure if it's that or they just don't get along.
  5. Plenty of performance running quiet and cool; how can you go wrong? I would love one of those Zotac 980s in my system.
  6. My favourite thing about the phone has to be that screen. Cramming as much real estate as possible without making the phone too huge; I can't wait until phones don't have any bezel at all.
  7. "Why is the display TN rather than IPS/PVA/MVA, etc? Not all TNs are made the same: the premium panel used in the PG278Q is of very high quality. IPS panels (and their derivatives like PVA/MVA etc) are not suitable for a multitude of reasons: 1) the response rate is simply not fast enough to react to the active change in refresh rate and 2) They cannot reliably achieve >60Hz without significantly affecting the quality of the image. IGZO technology (and LTPS low temperature polysilicon likewise) yields 100***8242;s of times faster electron mobility versus standard amorphous silicon panels and thus can provide a response rate comparable to TN (up to 60Hz currently), but, however desirable this technology is, it is still currently cost prohibitively for many PC gaming enthusiasts in 2014, which is why ROG has used a better price:performance, high quality TN panel." Excited to hear Linus's opinion on this one, especially since he's usually pretty harsh on TN panels.
  8. My favourite thing about the HTC One (M8) is it's great design and build quality.
  9. My Dad is a mechanical engineer... he will want to do it himself; he mostly asks me about selecting components. You are right, though. I wouldn't want to go for water cooling if the person didn't understand how to look after it / know the risks.
  10. That's what I was wondering; does the UV tube give any kind of light, is it noticeably purple? Or whatever colour UV is...
  11. I considered adding some UV lighting... the tubes are UV blue as are the cables. I've always kind of thought adding lights was a bit garish, but a white light might not be too bad. As for dye, obviously lots of people use it, but I've also read a lot of people saying not to use it. Yeah, it's filled with distilled water and Dazmode Protector.
  12. Do you need another person to say yes? I just got finished with my first loop and couldn't be happier.
  13. Yeah... I already wish I had another project to work on. My Dad is planning on upgrading his PC but he won't go for water cooling <_<
  14. So, I probably put my first computer together around the age of 13... Here's a quick pic of that bad boy: Nice cable management Anyway... having built a few computers since then, I was interested in more of a challenge, so I decided to give water cooling a shot. I've had a closed loop on my CPU before and wasn't that impressed; besides, what I really wanted from it was a silent video card as that has always been the loudest component. Getting down to it, this isn't so much a build log, as it is a couple pictures of my finished rig. Here they are: That's it. If anyone is interested in specs, they are as follows: 3570k @ 4.3GHz 780 @ 1240MHz (core) 7GHz (memory) 16GB RAM @ 1600MHz GA-Z77X-UD3H Seagate HDD.15 4TB 2x Intel 520 120GB in RAID 0 Seasonic X-650 Thank you for taking the time to have a look; she's not amazing but I'm proud of her. On a side note, how lame is it to use feminine pronouns when talking about a computer?
