  1. Do you mean 'Recommended spec' I would have thought with the overclock it would beat a i5 4590. but could be wrong.
  2. I have been looking at the recommended specs for the Oculus rift and I noticed that the recommended cpu is the i5 4590 or better. I have a i5 3570k overclocked to 4.2ghz. Does this cpu now meet the recommended spec? BTW all other components meet recommended spec and I have run the tool. Sorry if this has already been discussed.
  3. Ok, the hinge on the m50's broke (plastic) and the ear pads broke down pretty quickly and had to be replaced. The DT 770's lasted longer, but the termination point where the cable meets the headphone is incredibly weak, the rest of the headphone is built like like a tank. I really don't want to keep paying $50NZ every few months to repair them.
  4. Looked at them, big fan of the velour type pads though.
  5. Do they still have that crappy leatherette?
  6. I'm trying to fine a robust set of closed (or possibly open) headphones that sound fantastic and have great comfort. In the past I've had the audio Technica m50's and the Beyerdynamics DT 770's All great headphones but after a couple of years tend to break down. Any suggestions?
  7. Quick question. At some stage I'm going to upgrade to a i7 6700K with the gigabyte G1 gaming 7 board and a GTX 980. What I want to know is will a M.2 Samsung 950 pro SSD impact on graphic performance? The M.2 uses 4 PCIe lanes, the 6700K only has 16 therefore the gpu will drop down to x8. Would the x8 drop have an effect at 1440p or 4k resolution? would it be better to upgrade to a x99 platform with a 5820K with 28 PCIe lanes? Would love Linus to test this.
  8. Talk about ripped off. My preferred countries supplier of computer parts has the K95 RGB with browns listed at over $700 nz dollars. http://www.computerlounge.co.nz/components/componentview.asp?partid=23098 That is Fu@king insane. I can get the same keyboard though Amazon for $240 US including freight. With the exchange rate no more than $300 dollars. Looks like I'm going to Amazon.
  9. Congrats on the One million subs. I discovered you when I was researching the components for my first custom PC about 3 years ago. I found your reviews honest, insightful, fun and followed you since, I especially enjoyed the live feed from you kitchen back in the day. It's great to see a little tech community building on youtube.
  10. Love these guys awesome channels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRBEVQzB3EY#t=16
  11. There are plenty of reports from Corsair that state that the K95 RGB is launching in August in Red, Brown and Blue switches. Skip to 4.20
  12. I just hope its real! Corsair just take my cash.
  13. God I hope that K95 does come in Browns come August. So many articles are saying it will only come in Reds.
  14. You could take them into a electronics repair store and get them to do it and just get and extension for home, but they aren't really that portable as they are quite large (but not heavy).
